History
Established in 1992.
Fluid Dynamics started in 1992 as a small pool cleaning firm servicing pools in the North Orange County area, and continues to do so today.
In 2002 they expanded into new pool construction, and remodeling.
In 2006 Fluid Dynamics joined the Genesis 3 group and embarked on an educational journey with the group, traveling across the country taking university level courses from the most respected pool builders in the world.
In 2008 Fluid Dynamics was recognized as a Gold Member within Genesis 3. In 2011 founder David Penton was awarded the distinction of SWD — an honor that less than 30 pool builders in the world have achieved.

David P.
Business Owner
David Penton moved to Southern CA from Buffalo NY in the mid 80’s and never looked back.
After graduating from Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton, and then continuing on at Cal State Fullerton majoring in Mathematics, he quickly realized his passion for the active CA lifestyle, and pursued a career in the Swimming Pool industry.
Beginning as a pool serviceman for a large corporation, he quickly learned the business, branched off on his own, and progressed steadily into more and more involved projects.
In 2008 he was recognized by the Internationally Respected Genesis 3 organization as a Gold Member. And then in 2011 he was awarded the distinction of SWD (Society of Watershape Designers).
He is know across the country as an expert in Energy Efficient pools, and regularly interfaces with many of the top builders around the world, discussing cutting edge designs and technologies, and how to implement them into the pool environment.
