Fullerton College

Fullerton College is a good college, but it has many flaws that do not make it my top pick. First hand, as we know PARKING is a nightmare, I think you spend more time looking for parking that in class. Also, the building really need a makeover they are like 3 decades old, and a lot of their equipment is not state of the art. Fullerton College does have some amazing instructors that you just will not find anywhere else, but just parking is enough to turn off many students. I really hope they fix all this issue since more, and more students keep enrolling.

Counsellors could be more emphatic and helpful. End of the day it’s about productively filling their schedule so they can achieve their goals

This review is only for the campus and gym. It seems well kept up in a nice area not too far from Cal State Fullerton. There are lots of classroom buildings, a gym, volleyball area, swimming pool, and even dance studio. I was surprised at the small gym and cramped bleachers for a jc. But what they hey… it served its purpose.

I wish the food was cheaper, but it is very good. They have healthy products, and some not so healthy. Love the campus, and it is near my favorite places to visit

took a few classes here off and on for a few yrs mostly in the child development dept. the few professors i had were for the most part alright, but a couple stood out in a negative way
first off, i wouldn’t recommend asking chiaramonte for rec letters, he does NOT help out in the slightest. after agreeing he would and handing him TWO self addressed prepaid manila envelopes for the forms, he «lost» em several times. this was for graduate school, mind you. after going in to his office at the child development lab school, he would give some bs. the forms only took like 10mins to fill out and he was bsing with me for a half hr each time. and here i thought higher educated ppl would try to give back, especially in an academic environment. guess not
secondly, if those in the child development concentration can avoid it, i recommend not having anything to do with patti green. there was one instance where she out of the blue rudely accosted me at the lab school while i was on assignment doing observations. although i made a complaint to ms. pierce, seeing her on campus made me cringe. what a rude bitch
the other stuff related to child development are top notch though. karen, veronica and the others are so sweet and nice ppl. they are totally the types of ppl who should be in the field and i LOVE that
also had classes with angie andrus, who is also an outstnading professor and a very nice lady. she does a lot for the students and it’s a shame not all the students appreciate the kind of professor she is. SHE is definitely one of the few who should be teaching, because she actually cares for her students in higher education
also about parking, for those who don’t purchase a permit for the lots or can’t find a spot, try to park along berkeley. if not, there’s a link within the fullerton college site itself on parking tips, just have to punch it in the search tab. i printed it out and it helped a lot
**also for those that are not aware, there is also a program within the school in the 1400 building, i believe, that helps the students that are homeless. that’s right, there ARE homeless students that attend. i encourage those to give back to the community by donating canned goods. the office should be located on the first floor right in the west entrance. if confused, just ask a professor about it**
lastly, for those who are serious about their education, take advantage of this school. get your student ids, check out what kinds of discounts there may be like them parks, movies and whatever, and be grateful for being in this school. this is mostly a pretty good school, just have to watch out the select few that can’t/won’t push you forward in your life

This is my first semester at FC, I have to say that I have had a pretty good experience so far. Enrolling was fairly easy but it takes «6 weeks or more» for out of state college transcripts to be evaluated. Going through the process of speaking with an adviser and planning your classes was pretty easy. I did get some great advice about starting college as an ‘adult’ and how to re-​learn study skills & time management, that was nice. So far my class is great, all of the professors have been nice and make them selves available. My professor has been extremely flexible with me in re-​scheduling exams when things come up and helping me anytime I need it. I love the campus, there’s a new library (open till 8pm), a café with espresso and a nice courtyard with benches that are great in the summer. So far I’m happy with the college, I’m looking forward to finishing my time here quickly and moving on to a 4-​yr school for my bachelor’s.

I have been to several colleges trying to find the right fit and I finally found one in fullerton college. I love the campus. It is clean, well-​kept, and spacious. The library has a second story that has a million windows for you to sit by and see the quad. Parking sucks especially the first couple weeks of school and even then you have days where you are waiting 30 minutes to find a spot.
The cafeteria has decent food and so does the bookstore, but both can be pretty busy and crowded.
For the most part the staff and teachers are helpful and nice. Although there are a food slackers who seem to not be very intune to their job or students needs.
Overall, great school and I highly recommend it.

I loved attending and playing bball at FC for two years. It’s such a diverse school with awesome people!

From my short time here, I’ve had a great time. I wanted to just experiment this semester by taking variety of classes (Accounting, Sports Injury prevention, Statistics, and Counseling) and I have to say, all my instructors were great. They truly have a passion for their specialty and they knew what they were talking about.
**Parking can be a little tricky but its not too bad.

As we all know, it is the beginning of the Spring Semester 2015. I have been attending Fullerton College for two years now, and I’m completely shocked they still have yet to improve the parking situation. That being said, this morning I arrived (of course) an hour and a half early (to find one blessed spot). Usually I luck into one after half to a full hour of circling, today, no such luck! They literally had blocked off the parking garage and enforced it with to officers. Really?! I tried every other lot, of course all full, the streets, forget about it! I have an issue with stress and get panic attacks pretty easily, this threw me into full on spotted vision, sweaty, and breathless episode.
I ended up going home, too ridiculous!
It is a shame we spend this money (i do not receive financial aid, it’s out of pocket that i work for) to miss class because there is no parking, are late and eventually dropped, or have to park in a downtown fullerton bar!
Come on Fullerton help a sister out who’s just trying to get an education!

Just a caution, not very friendly to the full time workers. I mean, really, same day appointments and those can only be made in person!!! Tuesday is the only day they open «late» and that’s 7pm. Don’t even bother trying to get any questions asked via email — doesn’t exist.
I’ll second the comment that the counselors aren’t helpful and their department needs work.

I am honestly blessed to attend Fullerton College! There are so many helpful professors and resources that it is honestly impossible to get anything less than a C in any class. The campus is relatively small compared to other CC’s and it is easy getting around from class to class. Fullerton College is located around a variety of places to eat and is in walking distance from Downtown Fullerton. If you are looking for a calm place to study and to transfer as soon as possible, then Fullerton College is the place for you!

I love the campus! Really relaxing environment. People are really friendly and professors are super nice. I’ve only taken one course here so far and it was an easy A. Plans of moving back next semester are in my consideration! :^)

I LOVE this school! It’s definitely the best CC you can go to in Orange County.
The professors at this school is great!
They have an amazing business program that will prepare you well for university.
I am currently a business admin major and all the professors I’ve had are awesome!
The counseling department needs work. Most of the counselors aren’t helpful.
There are so many tutors available to help you in pretty much any subject! :)
Other than that, it’s a great school (ESP for Business majors)

Love all this campus has to offer!

Plenty of clubs to join and a wealth of information is shared amongst the students. Great balance!

Love this campus, not to mention the Library, definitely my favorite building here. Teachers are amazing. Parking can be difficult to find the first few days of class, but after the first few weeks it gets easier. Love that they have an actual parking structure makes it so much closer to walk to your classes. Very satisfied so far with this school.

I spent a lot of time at Fullerton College and fell in love with the campus and the passionate teachers that really care about their students. I had the opportunity to take a couple classes there and really enjoyed my experience. I was excited to be part of the Centennial Celebration last year. The college has an amazing history, full of wonderful stories that the college came together and celebrated. They also put on amazing production of Ragtime!

Great place to meet girls who will use you for a free meal.
Other than girls, go here for a great stepping stone towards your education. But also remember to bring cash/​credit to satisfy a girl with your various payment methods.

Nice clean, modern, open campus with plenty of parking structures. I was here for my son’s basketball tournaments. The tournament admission was very reasonable, $ 5.00. Parking pass was only $ 2.00. The gym was clean and air conditioned! The only draw back and my reason for four stars is that I think they should have more directory signs posted on the roads leading around the buildings, it was VERY difficult to find the gym. Other than that, it was a good experience.
