Fullerton Community Center

Fullerton Community Center is located on Commonwealth Ave, right across the Public Library and City Hall.
Community Center houses the Boys and Girls club, and they have a travel section for the older adults. The facilities has basketball courts, along with the Janet Evans swim center.
I recently discovered that they had a small gym with equipment, and during my frenquent visit to Fullerton-​use the gym for my inbetween tennis days. The equipment is new, and they keep it pretty clean. Off to the side are lockers, and showers. **Bring your own lock-​be careful what you put in, saw couple of people just drifty through”.
The only draw back is that they close at 9:00 pm, other then that I’m pretty content with the price and facilities.

I recently had a chance to work here for an event in one of their halls. The community center is beautiful from outside and was spaceous inside. Their staff is great! They were very attentive to our needs, continuously checked up on us, and were on top of everything. The security guys were really friendly too! Would definitely love to have more events here.

First time for everything! We just moved to fullerton a couple of months ago signed my 1^st grader up for the b&g club here only to find that this club does not put their families first, it’s about money! This fullerton location I feel is just it to nickel and dime everyone! The other location in G.G. was amazing! Truly would help out with any need for us and very flexible, but not this location! Money and fees are more important than the children’s after school care! They would rather lose your business than help in taking care of your child when it matters the most! There is no supervisor on until 9:30, but there should be one when the club doors open! Not all of us can be stay at home parents so we really rely on these programs, and should be more open to help the families that pay alot of money for after school care. I get it, we are all human, things are overlooked or misread, but like I said this location won’t help out, no sense of defusing situations, no sympathy like the other clubs my son has been enrolled in and it is sad. So today we took him out of the club in Fullerton.

Review for lap swimming only: I try to come here before going to work, but lately it has been very busy between 8 — 9 AM. Lane sharing is absolutely necessary… so no back stroke for me :-(
The pool room is very nice — even though it is indoors, it has big windows that open to the patio to the side. The water is very warm, probably a tad higher than 80 degrees. I’d prefer a little cooler being that it is an indoor pool, but they do host aquatic exercise classes that require the water to be this warm. The entrance fee is very reasonable at $ 3.00
The ladies restroom/​shower area has 2 showers– there is a lady I always see at the pool who takes rather long showers (hello, we are in a drought…). So if it is a crowded day, you might have to wait in line for the shower. I just used the shower by the pool today — the water is cool, but not stinging cold.
This is a beautiful facility — I really wish more cities would invest in facilities like this. Swimming is healthy and great for everyone!

Great facility. New, modern, clean, well maintained. Life guards on duty. Great private birthday party. The only downside was the strict 2 hour limit.

Best swim school ever! Indoor pool, professional friendly staff. My 5yr daughter after 3weeks was swimming all by herself.

Really nice facility! Lots of activities, something for every age group. Pricing is reasonable and all the employee’s I have encountered have been friendly. I definately recommend!

I was checking out the facilities here because I want to begin to use them. They have a gym, swimming pool, computer room and more I am sure I missed. I can see I will come back a lot more. Everything is nice and shiny. All brand new.

This place has a nice basketball court & fitness area. I have not tried them but I do know for a fact that it is one of the best and affordable fee out there. Equipment are ALWAYS available and not broken. You can come anytime for a small fee NO CONTRACT NEEDED… lol Also, next to it a little convenient store (part of the ctr) in case you forgotten your fluids or some snack for low blood sugar.
Although I am more in the pool area. I come in the morning and at night hours is FAIRLY CONVENIENT TIME. However, lately children been coming to swim. They would take the lap swim lanes. It would be courteous or at least give the last two lanes for swimmers especially on Tuesday and Thursday pm, where there is a water aerobic class. Parent was present and WOW UNBELIEVABLE HOW THEY COULD NOT DISCIPLINE THEIR CHILD.
Hope this improves. POOL ETIQUETTE PLEASE. SHARE THE POOL WE ALL PAID THE SAME AMOUNT AT LEAST LETS ALL BE FAIR IN USING THE POOL AND FOLLOWING SIMPLE RULES. and most of all FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILD AND OTHERS… watch your children and BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM.

Very nice community center. I have only visited the basketball courts, fitness area, patio area, and restrooms. The staff are friendly. Good amount of parking on the south-​end shared with the church when the north-​end is filled up.

The pool here at the Community Center is nice. This pool, along with the Janet Evans Swim Complex is run by the Fullerton Aquatics Sports Team (FAST). The lifeguards and staff are probably the nicest ones out of all the pools that I have been to. They don’t just sit on the lifeguard tower watching me as I look like a whale go back and forth swimming laps, but, they will also help me with my swim workout if I ask them. One of them even gave me a new workout to do! I guess she was bored of seeing me do the same thing everyday.
I am no longer the king of the pool with my embarrassingly slow 100 yard swim at 1:30. A couple of good swimmers recently started coming here. Hopefully, it was from my past review of this place. They have inspired me to pick up my pace. But, it will be a long time before I can swim the 100 in 1:15 or less, even when I cheat and use my swim fins and paddles.
I have only had to share lanes a couple of times at this pool. There are a couple of swimmers who belong to FAST, and have swim caps that says «FAST». Every time I see them, I am tempted get a San Luis Obispo swim cap. But, then again, my name is «Jeff». That is what swim cap currently says. I would confuse everyone if I changed my swim cap.
I like this pool for lap swimming. I like the hours. It has everything I need for a good workout.

Newly renovated! This facility boasts new equipment, beautiful design, and gorgeous finishes. They have a basketball court, classrooms, and a large hall. Great for parties, fitness classes, or a quick game.
Rental costs are very minimal!
In addition they made a fantastic choice of designing around mature trees, so this new facility has aged trees on site as well.
They work with a great caterer Brownstone so its great even for formal events! Cant wait to work with them!

Who doesn’t like an all-​in-​one facility with all new amenities? The brand new Fullerton Community Center which is considered a multi-​use and multi-​generational facility is the new home for the Fullerton Senior Services, the Fullerton Boys & Girls Club and Parks and Rec Community classes & activities. The vaulted ceilings along the corridors were pretty impressive but it’s the endless opportunities this community center has to offer that gets me excited.
