This review is for their Thursday night BINGO! My friends and I went and it was SO much fun! The hosts were amazing and the environment was a blast. Can’t wait to go back! It’s free and runs from 6−10pm I believe and you can jump in at the start of any game throughout the night. Bring $$$ to tip the hosts!

Not too bad. Some bartenders were terrible at making drinks. The food wasn’t too bad

I love their Thursday Night Bingo Games with Donny Casino! My friends have been going on Thursday nights for months but I hadn’t had a chance to go with them until just recently. I really liked how friendly the servers & Donny Casino were, everyone felt like they knew each other & were very welcoming to me and the other guests who were first timers! While I played Bingo, I ordered their chicken nuggets & tater tots – both were delicious! The tater tots are sprinkled with parmesan cheese for added flavor. My meal & Diet Coke were served in huge portions so they can definitely be split by two people. I can’t wait to go back to Joes next Thursday night!

Very interesting menu and it was really fun to try some new things. The service was good. If you aren’t adventurous this probably isn’t the place for you. Really cool sausages to try.

This review is only for weekend bar life. I have been here on a saturday and a friday and both times were pretty similar. This place is in the SOCO district which is more relaxed than the main DTF where everyone dresses up and bars get to charge a cover fee. This place is more for people in their mid twenties and up who doesn’t need to get all dressed up just for a night of drinking. No problems getting in and the bouncers are nice. the well drinks cost about $ 7 and are strong, shots are about the same price. However, beer is $ 10 and you get a really big glass maybe it can fit 2.5 glasses. They play pop music, there’s a piano there and a dance floor. Four stars because this is a solid place to go to in SOCO but didn’t think there was anything super special about it…

Really cool bar. The Waitress was friendly and so was the atmosphere. Honestly I came here for one thing, their sausages. I tried the alligator, wild boar, and the rattlesnake and rabbit sausages. They were all good and flavorful in their own way. The wild boar was good, it actually tasted like a normal sausage. Probably because of it relation to pork. The alligator was a little different though, the sauce they used had a little kick to is as did the meat. It was also a little more thick than the other ones(obviously). I always tell people about this place if they’re feeling adventurous and want to try something new.

I love this place. I come out to Fullerton a few times a year for a gig either at Steamers or to do a musical, and this is my regular place! Matt is the best bartender — super friendly and remembers his customers. Their food, drink selection and ambience is great! I’d definitely recommend coming here.

I love how they have the different sausages. I have tried almost everything here. I recommend the aligator sausage, chicken jalepeno sausage, and burgers. The fries are pretty good too. Service is good, atmosphere is pretty bad though. So the only reason why I do not give it a 5 star is because of the place itself. It is too small and sometimes smelly. Yet in DTF, there are many places like that.

Better than the average place in this genre and price range. There are a number of unique items on the menu as well as good renditions of reliable favorites. The service was good, friendly, and efficient. Prices are reasonable and the portions were good. Really, just a little bit of an upscale and unique twist on the typical bar/pub, and worth going to. Smoking is allowed on the patio, whether that’s good or bad is up to you.

No I’m not eating rattlesnake when I can have Frito Pie instead. You’ll have to take everything good off the menu, and then maybe I’ll consider it. All I need is Frito Pie and beer. Joe’s is a fun place for dinner and drinks with great food. A few weird items that I think get ordered on a dare most of the time. Service is sometimes shitty, but not too often. Smoke pours in from the back door and pisses me off, maybe you wont mind. Faint barfy smell like most bars.

After meeting Joe many, many times at parties and friends places I knew it would be a matter of time before I make it here. I am glad I did. Everyone was friendly, the place was jumpin and the beers cold. Also the bartenders keep them comin fast. I met some cool people and had a good time, no problems at all. I had no problems with parking, i got lucky and got a spot real close.

It was an unexpected surprise to move on to this place. Its a smart location that feeds off from the overflowing sport bar surrounding it, and that’s how my buddy and I ended up at this place. The food portions were big and delicious. Now I’m taking 1 star off for the screw up on my order plus the service was a bit slow. I ordered the Chicken Drums but I was served a chicken club sandwich. I’m not one to complain about such things unless I really don’t like it, but I took a bite out of that sandwich and I was blown away. Along with my sandwich I got sweet potato fries and they were amazing. I have to admit that I have some luck to stumble upon places like these ones, and I’m glad I did. Next trip to DTF I will start off my night at this place for sure.

This little place is located near the alley with Heroe’s and Roscoe’s. They are all owned by the same place and I love their patio marketing that facilitates bar hopping. :) This place doesn’t have happy hour but isn’t an arm and a leg for a draft beer at $ 6.00USD. Their gastropub food is rather good(probably better if we were drunk) but definitely not too shabby for the Fullerton area. They specialize in club sandwiches, burgers, and sausage dogs. For once in my life, I had a dry sausage(gasp). But in terms of the meld of flavors it was well put together. The bread was over toasted causing a strange crunch as I ate this dry dog, but the mustard(somewhat) saved it. I tried the half batch with onion rings and sweet potato fries. I guess as I get older, sweet potato isn’t really my thing, but I enjoyed their onion rings. Paired with a pale ale, it made this couple pretty sweet. I would give this place three stars. It isn’t too bad but this definitely can’t compare to Wurstküche in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. In its defense, the pickle was pretty damn good.

Sittin’ on the edge of DTF’s SOCO district is a cool little bar that not only serves up some great beverages but some unique sausages and some other oddball fried county fair like foods to eat and a holiday kind of atmosphere. I’ve been to Joes a few times for sausages and beers enjoying this local bar and grill. As a part of the growing chain of independent eateries that include Fullerton neighbors Hero’s, Roscoe’s(Chino Hills too) and now Tony’s in Anaheim I feared that the mom n pop atmosphere would be deluded and canned. Not so entirely of this Fullerton chain link as it still puts out as if they were a mom n pop. But I digress. Joe’s offers up some unusual eats. This place is known not only for the alcoholic libations and a decent draft selection it offers , but the variety of food it offers. Sandwiches, Tacos, Flatbread Pizzas, Burgers, Salads and Sausages. Great bar food options. But what I didn’t know was the other desert goodies they have to offer. Frito Pie, Fried Junk, Beer Battered onion rings and other appetizers to get your engine revving.
just a few! I come mostly for the offbeat sausages which can be hit and miss but mostly hit. Rabbit & Rattlesnake, Smoked Alligator, Hawaiian Portuguese, Boar Andouille, Duck n Bacon and others that pop up.
and also they give you a ridiculous amount of super crisp and tasty shoestring fries with your entrees. The«normal» sausages include a tasty Brat that’s perfect for game day, the«Home-wrecker»(nuff said!) , Italian, foot long Corn Dawg a couple turkey and chicken selections there is surely something for everyone. Burgers and sammies, Pizza and tacos. If you cant find something here to soak up your beer you must be vegetarian. Oh yea they got salads too for all you rabbits out there. Did I mention the enormous pile of fries that come with most entrees! So yummy. Desert! Is the Fair back in town? Where are the freaks, animals and midgets? Deep fried PB&J, Deep fried Snickers, Deep fried Twinkies. FTW!
Friendly atmosphere that can get crowded on weekends and when its warmer the back patio gets loaded too. Decent music. The staff are all pretty nice, friendly and love to help answer your questions about the different food choices. A clean joint with a fair amount of seating. Not great for big groups but what bar is? Bummer ‘cuz they don’t have the food challenge any longer! What a big disappointment as I wanted to eat that big ass dawg for free! I’ll be back for a cold one and a sausage. You betcha!

THEYNOLONGERHAVETHEIRCHALLENGE! What a huge disappointment. Food: Great selection of unique sausages for the adventurous, lovely selection of desserts for those who have never had the opportunity to have their sweets deep fried at a fair, full bar for the alcholics, and the standard pizzas, salads, tacos, and sandwiches. We came as a large party, so we sampled quite a bit of the menu. It is worth mentioning that all of our dishes came in very hearty portions whether it be the sausages or a piled-high burger, so be sure to come hungry or be prepared to take home leftovers. The memorable ones included the rattlesnake and rabbit which is eerily similar to chicken, the gigantic side of onion rings, and the fried peanut butter and jelly sandwich which tasted like… a churro slathered in peanut butter served with ice cream. Service: I hear it’s rather normal to forfeit your credit card after ordering, but it made me uncomfortable(after reading a review of how a waitress gave away a person’s card to the wrong person). Come the time for our bills, our waitress never came back to pick up my bill when I decided to pay in cash. Half an hour went by, and I decided to walk up to the front to give her my money. I waited in the same spot, and she didn’t offer me my change nor did she bring back my credit card; I had to remind her that she still had my credit card… It wasn’t that she was unfriendly throughout the duration of our stay though because she was relatively nice and she was quick to say that EVERYTHING on the menu is wonderfully delicious; it’s that we didn’t see her most of the night after it got busy. Atmosphere: Situated where many other well known restaurants/bars are, Joe’s offers a dimly lit typical restaurant/bar environment where patrons can either sit inside or outside on the patio. Great for both small and large parties, but make sure you arrive early(before 9PM) if you’re coming with a big group because it can get busy. Lively. There’s even a piano though we weren’t drunk enough to try and play a piece. If I was more of a glutton and I cared more about quantity than quality, then Joe’s would’ve been perfect. It’s not to say that the food wasn’t good, but it wasn’t memorable either; it’d be cool to say I tried rattlesnake/rabbit before, but I’m not keen on such things. I would say that Joe’s for me is more of a one-try type of deal.

Exotic sausages, fried food, and beer. How can you go wrong with that combination? You may need a triple bypass afterward but your taste buds will be smiling. Seriously, I feel like I gained about 10 pounds after eating here. This place is fried food heaven. Practically everything is fried or can be fried. I can’t remember if I saw any salads here, but if they did, it would’ve been fried as well. The exotic sausages are pretty damn good. They are similar to the ones at Wurstküche in LA, like rattlesnake & rabbit, alligator, and duck & bacon. I haven’t been to Wurstküche in a while but it seems like this place has a bigger selection and better flavor. Joe’s doesn’t skimp on the fries either. With each sausage order you get shoestring fries or you can substitute with onion rings or sweet potato fries for a $ 1. Fries can easily be split among three people. I got sweet potato fries but they tasted a little burnt. I would stick with the shoestring fries next time or get onion rings instead. My friend’s onion rings were absolute perfection. The batter was super crispy and the onion broke off nicely when I bit into them. I ordered Lido’s goat cheese stuffed Italian sausage. The combination worked well and it came with grilled peppers, onions, garlic and a side of marinara sauce. I actually preferred it without the sauce because you can taste the meat better without it. Goat cheese wasn’t overwhelming either. It was quite subtle but just enough to add depth to the Italian sausage. I also tried my friend’s wild boar andouille sausage which was fantastic. It had a subtle gamey flavor but in a good way. It definitely didn’t taste like your ordinary sausage. This was served with chipotle mustard, fresh cilantro, and diced tomatoes. For dessert, we shared fried PB&J, fried Snickers bars, and fried Fat Boy. The fried desserts are huge and can be shared with at least two or three people so don’t go too crazy ordering everything on the menu. I was here with 6 other people so it wasn’t too bad. Out of the three, fried PB&J seemed to be the favorite among the group. They have a decent beer selection but they didn’t have my favorite so I just stuck with iced tea which came in a gigantic sized mug. I was surprised they didn’t have a beer list. This is something they should work on. Also, do not drink the water. It tasted really weird, like chemicals. Our server was friendly and gave us some great suggestions on the menu. She was also nice enough to split the bill for us even though that’s not something they do(according to the menu). I think she made an exception for us because it was pretty slow on a Wednesday night and we were the only ones in the dining area. Most of the customers were in the bar area which was also fairly empty. I will come back and try some more exotic sausages but I will have to wait another month so I can unclog my arteries.
