Our salon offers men’s haircuts and barbering supported by brands Prive and Reuzel. Hair extension specialists certified by Babe Tape and Hot Heads. We are very proud to offer two stylists who special in African American textures including Ouidad certified stylists. Lisa Ramirez has been my ongoing hair stylist since 2010 and I have had nothing but praise for how she has taken care of me.
From Day 1, I came in as a clueless guy who never had any set hairstyle or any idea of what I wanted. So I did the wiser (or less foolish) tactic of letting Lisa have full reign and freedom with my hair, simply making it her canvas. She’s done an excellent job at making sure I’m looking my absolute best when she cuts and styles my hair.
I’ve had countless haircuts, a season where she helped me experiment with colors, and even a period where I wanted to try and grow it out. Through it all, Lisa has both been very supportive and also very honest with how my hair looks. (The long hair will now be a thing of the past.)
To this day, I still have no clue of what kind of hair I want, but now it’s because I fully trust Lisa to do what she does best and cut and style my hair to what she thinks will fit and work for me.
And finally, I’ve had the pleasure of developing a great friendship with Lisa and she has taken the time and effort to do the same. Lisa is not only just an excellent hair stylist for me now, but a great friend as well.

This review is for the masseuse Mitzi Guzman. I got a 90 minute massage with add on hot stones. It was great! She has magic hands. I fell asleep like a baby that night. I love the hot stone treatment too it melts away the stress in your back. The room is quiet and relaxing. I love that the bed is nice and warm prior to the massage too. Be coming back again soon. I highly recommend this place!

I’ve been going to Joshua Christopher several years now (2009???). My stylist is Mr. Martin Lopez and I love, LOVE his work. Before Martin, I’ve jumped from salon to salon because a lot of times the stylist will do more than what I ask for and I always end up having to chop off all the damage. But, Martin never fails. When I want a specific cut or color — he gets it right. What I love about him is that he cares for the health of my hair and understands my hair goals. He never fails to make me feel short of fabulous. Love you much, Martin!

Just got my hair done for the first time by Liann, I’m an African American with mixed hair and she did my hair justice. Well, I can’t say enough about how lucky I am to have Lisa RAMIREZ as my hair stylist, I went to her with dry damaged hair, with time and care my hair has transformed from damaged breakage, to long silky shinny hair. Lisa RAMIREZ has taught me how to take care of my colored hair to keep it healthy and free from breakage. Lisa Ramirez is not only my hair stylist but also a teacher who taught me about how to take care of my hair and the products I should be using. I love my hair and thank you Lisa Ramirez for caring about your clients. I would highly recommend this lady.

I love this place! Kara Jacob is amazing! She really knows curly hair, and is very personable. She is Quidad Certified, and did wonders for me. Even so that my co-​workers were like wow what a difference. I just went in last week for color, and it turned out great as well. All the stylist are nice too, and you can tell they enjoy what they do!

If you’re looking for a salon where you can get a really, really, really ridiculously good looking haircut that’s worthy of blue steel, look no further. I come here to get my hair cut by Lisa Ramirez, who has been my stylist for the past 2 years. I was referred by a good friend and having been used to barbershops for so long, I hesitated. After my first cut with Lisa, I was sold! She’s very accommodating with my hairstyle preferences, but is also not afraid to give her honest input in order to give me the best outcome! Don’t be afraid to give this place a try! It’s a little hidden from the main drag of Imperial Highway, but a great find!

I had stylist Brissa today. I requested a simple hair trim and some extra layering. She delivered. However, the whole process took an hour and a half and I did not request any other services. She blow-​dryed my hair for a good hour and after she presented me with the check I suspected I knew why. She charged me $ 70 for a service that should have cost me half that amount and should have taken significantly less time. I feel as if perhaps she deliberately ran out the clock to charge me a higher premium for a measly trim that left my hair barely looking any different from when I came in. I’m sure this salon cuts and styles hair fine, but honestly I feel scammed out of my hard-​earned money from my stylist’s ridiculous bill charge for a hair trim.

Lisa Ramirez is just amazing. Her color skills are fabulous — always perfect! Lisa cuts like the professional she is… I receive compliments all the time. She does a great job with my thick hair where I request a little layering to make it less full. I’ve also had Brazilian Blow Outs several times and love it! My hair is soft, smooth and it is so great to wake up with minimal bed head and a super fast drying time! So the moral of the story? You can’t go wrong with Lisa, she is simply the best!!!

This place is clean & modern. Front desk is friendly. This place also has a good selection of products u can buy too… Like Moroccan oil & even prive. They serve u gourmet café too… Try their vanilla chai tea! So yummy!

My mom and I have been coming to Joshua Christopher’s for years. Martin is brilliant with color and cuts. He listens and gives feedback. I am notorious for going from black to blonde back to black. Martin has patience for my crazy indecisiveness and is always willing to go with whatever my new ideas are. He’s sweet and it always feels like we’re hanging out with a cousin we haven’t seen in a while. Martin is part of mine and my moms family.
The salon is great too. Always good energy and friendly people. It’s an event every time I go.

BRISSA is an excellent hair stylist. She listens and gives honest advise. She’s just amazing. She was able to get my hair the color results I had envisioned. I went in with a pretty harsh ombré, I left with a softer more blended ombré. EXACLY THE COLOR I WANTED!
Let’s talk about the cut. Her cutting technique is AMAZING! She mentioned that she’s part of Davines cutting team not sure but that sounds like a pretty big deal to me.
I let my hair air dry this morning after I showered and it dried so nice. That’s how I know I got an amazing cut. This makes me a happy girl because it saves me so much time in the mornings.
I left the salon feeling confident and almost a bit conceited, ok a lot conceited! Haha
