I used to eat here often in 2008 – 2009. It closed around April 2010(franchisee went bankrupt) and I thought that was the end of Fullerton Knowlwood. About a day ago, I was driving through Fullerton, looking for a late lunch(about 2 pm). I was surprised to see Knowlwood open again. Nice, I thought, let’s give them another try. I walked in the restaurant, and the place was nearly empty. Not a good sign. Nevertheless, I ordered a «World’s Best Burger» with grilled onions and fries. It seemed like there was just one person working in the place. After about 20 minutes, my food was ready. The burger was ok, though I’ve had better. The bun became soggier, and the whole burger gloppier, over time, though. Not too appetizing. The fries were also ok. I felt a little woozy about an hour later, although I’m not 100% sure I can blame the burger though – maybe the onions weren’t cooked enough or something. I’d recommend finding another place to eat in Fullerton…

Last night I went out to a late dinner with friends and I have to say that I’m severely disappointed. To start off my experience I would like to note that the service was unwelcoming and the food was just passible. Right after finishing my food, as well as the following hours, I felt sick to my stomach. I just passed my discomfort off as my body reacting negatively to the fast food. BUT, low and behold, all day today I’ve had sever digestive issues, if you catch my drift. So sever that I had to call in sick from work. Maybe it’s not due to poor food management and it’s just my body reacting to a food it doesn’t like. However, I feel it would be unjust to not warn others of my recent dilemma because I don’t want anyone else getting sick. Due to my unpleasant experience I will never be returning to this Knollwood site again, and I would highly recommend this to others.

Many problems with this establishment. Its a nice location with lots of windows to view the city but can’t find much else to brag about here. Two people running the establishment, one at the cashier and one cooking. I don’t know where to start. cold food. not what I ordered. slow service. All the tables with food on them till closing time. The cashier asked our permission to close an hour early which I said was fine i was done. But then he started talking out loud to himself as I was leaving saying times up! when I looked over at him he said can I help you? To high priced for shaby food. I would like to talk to the owner and try to understand how he could greatly mismanage his store. I had problems everytime I went here.

Was the most horrible food I’ve ever eaten. Everything was over cooked. Will never return.

I come here quite a bit and have enjoyed their food. The Hamburgers are good and so is the chili. The turkey sandwich with onion rings is pretty good too. It is always empty with some teenagers playing games inside but Its an average burger joint.

We had our rehearsal dinner here and words can’t describe how perfect our experience was. The staff at knowlwood did a wonderful job. We had great food, quick service and a wonderful ambience. My Frisco sandwich was great, made to perfection. I also washed it down with their house red wine. We also were able to take some great photos with our friends and family… Finally we really enjoyed the location as it was away from all madness of downtown Fullerton. Thanks Knowlwood!!!

Listen to the voice of regret. A bad dinner can ruin a good night. We had a busy Saturday and thought the kids would enjoy fun dinner out. We headed to The Old Spaghetti Factory only to have an hour wait before us. It was already late, and the kids were hungry. So we walked over to Knowlwood’s figuring the wait would be much less. Indeed it was. The place was empty. It’s been a year since I’ve been to a Knowlwood’s, but I remember the food being pretty good, lots of people, and the ambiance being overwhelming. Between myself, the husband, and our three kids, no one had anything nice to say about the food. The burgers were tasteless. The meat was rubbery and the cheese… well, I’m not sure if that was in fact cheese. The soda fountain drinks tasted like dirt. Yes, I tried nearly all of them hoping that one would be semi-refreshing. I only have myself to blame for coming to this establishment.

Spaghetti Factory had an hour wait, Saturday night. So we walked across the parking lot to Knowlwoods. The Knowlwoods in Irvine and Santa Ana were great. So the Fullerton location would be good too, right? The Fullerton location was completely empty on a Saturday night at 8pm. Seriously, only one table was occupied. There was one cook, and one clerk. That’s it. We ordered and sat down. Food was average. My burger had a weird, dry cheese powder on the bun. My wife’s cheese steak was open faced and the cheese looked like a dry, plastic display sample of what an actual sandwich would look like. Kids destroyed their food, which made me happy, but they complained that it was too small. Worst of all, their soft drinks tasted like they used old syrup or bad water. Even the Dr. Pepper was nasty. Won’t be coming back. Sorry. Knowlwood’s Management, please do something about this Fullerton location.

Terrible service. Mediocre food. I had questions about the menu and asked the cashier what the difference was between two different burgers. Sarcastically, he said«One’s bigger…» I responded with«What else is different?» «Well, do you like sandwiches?» he said with a slight attitude. I just quickly ordered my food and waited for it to be finished. I sat in front of the pick up window and the cashier did not inform me that the order was ready. «Are you gonna pick up your food or not?» Geez, okay. I wasn’t sure if it was mine, you could’ve at least said what order was up and ready instead of assuming I know what the food looks like. Sigh.

Come on down to the meeting on August 24. I generally order the large half pound Frisco Deluxe burger. My main restaurant is the Fullerton location.

Came in today at about 11:30. Not busy at all. Only a couple other groups seated already. Complaint #1 — Food took way too long for the restaurant being pretty empty. Took 25+ minutes from when the order was placed to when our number was called. Complaint #2 — Food was lukewarm at best. We ordered the Irish Nachos and you can tell the food was sitting for awhile based on how the cheese was melted. It looked dried out from sitting under a heat lamp. At this point, we were in a hurry and I did not want to waste even more time by sending the food back and requesting fresh food. Complaint #3 — I ordered a pastrami sandwich. There was very little meat in the sandwich. While I think the sandwich would have tasted pretty good if there was more meat and if it was warm/hot, I was very disappointed. I’ve always went to the Anaheim Knowlood location and always thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I WILLNOT be visiting the Fullerton Knowlwood location again.

A bit run down but I wasn’t there to rate the aesthetics of the place ! As a chef by trade Unilocal is kind of a sham because certain places get a bad rapp other than because of the food it self ! That Being said the food was way awesome and tasty, I will go back again and try something else, maybe the frisco burger… till then, I will patiently wait :)

Disappointing. This place was always full of customers at the lunch hour when it first opened. Haven’t been here in years. Stopped today with my son. Place was pretty empty at noon. No one was at the front counter and it took a few minutes before the first employee showed up. Prices are a little high. Adding a combo is $ 3 which is fries and a drink. Ordered the turkey burger. It was dry and flavorless. The fries were overcooked but also limp as in not freshly made. My son ordered the bacon burger. It was just ok. While waiting for our food I noticed the place is pretty dirty as in built up grime and dust. The floor is concrete but is very dirty. The inside of the front door was so dirty I pushed it open with my foot. The whole place needs a deep cleaning and remodel. The menu needs to be revamped. Seasoning definitely needs to be added to the meat. And if you can’t cook fries to order, don’t offer them. Nothing worse than limp soggy fries.

Amazing and Very Accommodating! Good Food Takes Time, so if you’re looking for slop that can be at your table in 5 mins, this is not the place. I was craving a Frisco Burger and wanted Chicken instead of Beef, no problem. The waitress was very kind and insured my craving was met. Love It! Will be back!

I came to Knowlwood yesterday afternoon for some food. There weren’t too many people in here. Price: It kinda a little bit too expensive. Food: I ordered the fish tacos combo. It was good, but not great. I don’t know what’s going on with their quality compared to 5 years ago when I last went here. For $ 6.99, I expected the food to be a little bit more exciting. Service: The workers were very friendly. No problems with that.

Boys Night Out and we are driving around Fullerton and I say I am getting hungry bro and German aka Brian says lets go to Knowlwoods. I am like what’s that and he said it’s the best burger shop we gotta hit it up. So here my first impression of this joint. Décor: Run down, ghetto, out dated, nasty, gross disgusting place. Service: I swear there was only one person working and it was this teenager kid. I told him i had never been there and asked for a recommendation and he was like i don’t know get a cheese burger and I said how is the Frisco burger because the menu is written on the wall and i don’t want just an f-ing cheese burger. He said the bread is cover in Parmesan cheese and its toasted with lettuce, pickles, tomato, onion, beef patty with cheese severed with fries. I’m like we have a winner lets do this. So me and my buddy ordered 2 of the Frisco burgers. Food: After judging by the way the place looked i was pretty sure that the food was going to be awful and i just wasted $ 22.00 bucks. My buddy insisted i buy him dinner because he picked a bomb ass spot. At this point in my head i am thinking your so full of shit. Cheap SOB! So the food come out and they call our number and we get the food and take it back to our crappy booth table that is sticky and uncomfortable. Seats without padding. It was like sitting on a plywood bench wrap with material. I was looking at my burger and I was impressed it didn’t look bad. I ate the pickle that was on the side first to see if it tasted horrible and it was good. I was like wow i am getting excited. I bite into the Frisco burger and it was delicious. I was like wow this place is damn good but you’d never guess that by the looks of it. The burger was so good i dusted it. Flavor was 5 stars. I can see why my buddy swears up and down that it was great. Experience: Place needed a serious makeover. Other then it being a nasty ass place inside the food was tasty and the only reason this place is getting 4 star review is because my food was great. I don’t think I will be coming back though because it just too far from where I live and not really worth the drive. I mean I can get better burgers for cheaper in my area.

Salmon tacos! My favorite! I’ll be honest though, this location is a bit run down. Not what I was expecting walking in being in DTF but the food is far from lacking so I don’t care! Haha. I will admit, the tea was a bit strong for my taste. I want to say they put too many tea packets in. They could have easily cut that batch in half and it would have been really good! sad face. No biggy, I’ll be back when I’m in the area.

Knowlwood’s slogan is Home of the World’s Best Hamburger. Who’s to say it is or isn’t. For 57 years they’ve been serving up decent quality burgers, fresh and delicious. My choice for best burger would still be a Double Double from In-n-Out. It’s always been fun and a pleasure for me and my family to eat at Knowlwood. My pleasure is the friendly service and the family atmosphere. There’s a few arcade games, TV, and a pool table. Outside patio tables are nice and clean. The menu has a lot more to choose from than burgers. There’s the hot pastrami on a french roll, Philly cheesesteak, fish & chips, or the chef’s specials like grilled salmon tacos. My wife’s personal favorite, which she got today, is the Frisco burger($ 5.99). This burger has a little bit of everything in it. Bacon, lettuce, cheese, tomato, pickles, grilled onions, and 1000 island dressing all on a grilled Parmesan sourdough bread. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad($ 6.99) served with garlic bread, while my daughter had the grilled chicken sandwich on a wheat bun with fries($ 4.79). My salad was average at best. The ladies enjoyed their sandwiches. The fries and dill pickles are fresh and tasty. Oh, I can’t forget to mention their homemade shakes and malts too!

It was my first time coming here and I don’t think I want to go back. Maybe it was just the location, but I’ll tell you why it’s one star. I went here for a fundraiser for my club and the employees definitely did not treat our party with their best behavior. In my belief, every guest should be treated as if it was their first time at the restaurant. The cashier got frustrated that me and a friend wanted to split the cost. Yeah I get it that it was time consuming but obviously the woman had no proper training or else she would have done it without getting frustrated. And no I didn’t tip her. The food: cardboard and a thick piece of depressed french beef dip that was super hard to chew. The dip: was terrible, considering the meat was terrible. I paid $ 7 for a plain French bread and roast beef that I could have made at home. Literally a baby can make this sandwich. There were no other ingredients like onions or bell pepper. And the Irish nachos are way over hyped. You want GOOD Irish nachos? Go to Bruxie. The cheese on my nachos got so hard when it cooled that I couldn’t bite into it. And the fries weren’t fresh at All.
