So this review is long over due
But hands down this girl deserves full credit of these five stars
And for me to say this, its a very big deal I love having my hair long but I love the crazy colors too
But I have had some bad experiences with salon ladies man they get scissor happy and chop my hair off when I specifically ask for a trim
yup story of my life
But not anymore after years of dealing with my trauma and staying away from salons I decided to give this girl a try and man she is very understanding listens to what exactly you want .
And does her best to bring your idea to life
Oh one more thing on my first visit she actually asked me for a brief background of my hair never have I had that questioned to me before… that was a total plus for me .
I also have a crazy work schedule but she is very flexible and does her best to make it work .
But most of all I can say the best part about her is this is not just her career this is her passion and you can notice that in the few hours your hair spends with her

Monique did such a great job with my hair! When I walked in my hair looked like a birds nest, completely DESTROYED and madly damaged. I wanted to keep my length though since my hair was so damaged I thought she’d have to cut like 3 inches. LUCKILY she’s a hair wizard and didn’t cut much except for my split ends. There was hardly ANY hair on the floor:) She gave me great advice and will definitely be coming back to get my color and cut from Monique. She’s an angel… great person to talk to. Let’s see I’ve been seeing Monique for a year and my hair hasn’t been happier. Off black to platinum ombré blended beautiful on a short bob. Talk about a challenge. Let go pastel pink… now purple. Keep it healthy but I’m growing it out so don’t cut too much. She always delivers. She is honest about the hair’s health and risks and avoids them when needed. I unfortunately moved to San Diego and my lazy bum saw someone local for a cut and boy was I sorry. Just had her hook me up with color, cut and an olaplex treatment. I have a beautiful set of betty (baby) bangs like no one else can deliver, a lovely off black, with a smokey brown and golden medium blonde highlight. That girl has talent don’t waste your time get your color here!!!

Had such a great experience with Monique, I was torn on what to do with my hair initially and she gave me some advice which I’m so thankful for. She did s trim no color (for now) and she taught me a few ways to take care of my hair and let my natural curls shine instead of my go to. Monique is very professional and personable and can’t wait to go back to her for some color!

My first review on Unilocal ever! I felt compelled to write one because my experience here was just THAT wonderful. I’ve been wanting to change my blonde/​brown hair to something edgier — so I decided to go black/​grey highlights. I was nervous because there was a certain look I was going for and I really didn’t want to end up looking like a skunk.
Monique is absolutely the BEST. She knew exactly what kind of style/​shade I was going for and walked me step by step the whole way through. I’ve been to a lot of crappy salons where they think they know what you want so they just do it, and it turns out utterly disappointing. Monique and I were on the same page from the very beginning.
I was pretty happy about the price, as well. My hair’s super long. $ 145 for overall dye, bleach strands, and silver toning. Not bad.
The only negative thing about this experience was the aftermath — the silver looks great at first, but the color doesn’t last very long. I’m very active so I have to wash my hair every day (I know I’m just asking for it), and now the color is a sort of blue-​greenish color. I got it colored 4 days ago :/​It still looks great, but I don’t recommend this hairstyle for those looking for a more permanent color.

Monique is amazing at all types of hair color. I have seen her turn girls with jet black hair to silver within a few sessions. I’ve seen her turn the brassiest orange into the most beautiful soft ashy blonde. I’ve seen her to funky colors and pop and show dimension in all the right places. This girl is just amazing. She knows how to color hair with hair extensions in, which is a talent in itself. She also does keratin treatments and japanese straightening. Her pictures speak for themselves, and not only is she amazing with cuts and color, she is an awesome person as well. She has the most bubbly and warm personality, no one would ever feel judged by her. Shes such a rad person and amazing colorist. A true talent!!!

Monique is THE BEST. She does great work, is very professional, knowledgeable about her craft and an awesome/​friendly personality. She has cut my hair and done my make up in the past and I have never looked better than when she has done my hair!
