Dr. Nelson Yen is a phenomenal surgeon!
My dentist told me I needed to see a periodontist about my gum recession on my lower front teeth and recommended Dr Nelson Yen. During my consultation with Dr. Yen, he spent an hour talking with me about my particular case, and made sure I was completely informed and comfortable about the surgery he was recommending. Dr. Yen performed a gum graft on my four lower front teeth and the results were unbelievable! The surgery lasted 45 minutes and I was extremely relaxed the entire time. I was awake for the entire surgery and did not feel an ounce of pain. Dr. Yen was very calming and made sure I was comfortable throughout the surgery. He is professional, welcoming, and more then anything, he genuinely cares about his patients. When I got home from the surgery, he called and gave me his personal cell phone incase I had any questions or concerns.
My recovery was was as amazing as the surgery itself; I felt very little discomfort and was able to begin regular activities within 3 days. I have had amazing feedback from friends and family about my results. Even my regular dentist and hygienist could not believe how beautiful the gum graft looked when I got my teeth cleaned.
I can honestly say I have never been this happy with the way my gums look and I will continue to see Dr. Yen for any future procedures I may need. Thank you so much Dr. Yen!!!

I was referred to Dr. Yen by my primary dentist for crown lengthening surgery in preparation for placement of new crowns. Long story short my old crowns were placed in a way that they were causing my gums to be inflamed. Being that my crowns are on my six front teeth aesthetics were a very important factor. Not only do my gums look healthier than I can ever remember they are aesthetically perfect. I could not be happier with how everything turned out. Not only does Dr. Yen do great work, he also is wonderful on a personal level — so professional and really listens to and cares about what you have to say.
I have a complicated dental history and have seen a lot of dental professionals over the years — dentists, periodontists, orthodontists, endodontists, oral surgeons etc. I know the difference between a good doctor and a not so good one — I’ve seen it all. Dr. Yen is great. I will not hesitate to visit him for any periodontal issues in the future.

Three years ago I needed major mouth restoration. I’m talking about eight implants and some dental crowns, people! Dr. Yen worked in tandem with my primary dentist, Dr. Quentin Goodman and all I can say is that I am still amazed with the results.
When you walk into Dr. Yen’s, you can tell immediately that professionalism and consideration for each patient is a priority. Dr. Yen’s medical staff is kind and interested in the journey you are about to take. They make you feel as comfortable as possible and they never treat you like a number on a chart. Dr. Yen himself is the epitome of patience and compassion. He will explain exactly what he will be doing prior to any procedure and will answer any and all questions you may have. He even calls you in the evening to make sure that you are doing well. Very considerate!
I was extremely nervous to take the first steps toward getting dental implants, especially because my sister was going through the same procedure in Colorado and she was having a horrible, nightmare of a time as her experience. For me to walk into Dr. Yen’s knowing what my sister was going through and that the dental work I needed to have done was going to take such surgical skill and precision was a confidence shaker. I didn’t know Dr. Yen yet but I did trust my Dr. Goodman so I took that leap of faith and I am so glad that I did! Dr. Yen took such good care of me. I still become astounded when I remember what meticulousness and exactitude Dr. Yen’s work included in order to produce the smile of my dreams. I haven’t had one ounce of trouble with any of my implants or crowns and I am so proud to have a wonderful, natural smile. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Yen. Personally, I think that he is a dental magician. Without Dr. Yen and Dr. Goodman I would still be hiding behind my hand and feeling ashamed when I showed my smile. Today, I laugh wholeheartedly, smile with confidence and wear lipstick. Do not hesitate to decide to see Dr. Yen. He helped change my life.

Dr. Yen and his staff (Michelle and Shari) go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. He is calm and reassuring. This was not my first rodeo.

Dr. Yen is the best! He is super nice & professional, and you can tell that he genuinely cares about his patients. I was a bit nervous to get my procedure done, but Dr. Yen did a fantastic job and I am thrilled with the results.
The office is gorgeous and luxurious, and they even give you free coffee vouchers to Peet’s Coffee & Tea! Highly recommend. :)

I got my wisdom teeth out with Dr. Yen and he’s absolutely wonderful. I really didn’t even feel the teeth being pulled. He also called in the evening to follow up and make sure I wasn’t feeling too much discomfort. Amazing? I think so.

Dr. Yen is amazing! I am a patient with over the top anxiety about seeing doctors. Each time I left Dr. yen’s office, I felt so good. I had three tooth extractions amd will be getting dental implants soon. The procedure went great especially being IV sedated. Dr. yen isnt cheap, but you sure pay for the servuce and confortability and of course, your in great hands.

I had my wisdom teeth extracted and some reconstruction as well and the experience was painless. I have to add that the staff is extremely extremely friendly and helpful from the the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. As people have been saying, you do get what you pay for, and with Dr. Yen, it is worth every penny. Dr. Yen proceeded to follow-​up with me that same night to check in on me and offer me his number in the event I had questions about anything. Honestly, I am so glad I was able to have Dr. Yen extract my wisdom teeth.

Never did I intend to replace a tooth I had lost years ago, thinking that I had learn to hide the toothless gap with a crooked smile, so why bother? And of course there was the issue of dealing with my holistic side that rejected the thought of foreign metal in my tissue. And of course the biggie: cost. Well,…to hell with all that because after so many years, I just want my tooth back!
Dr. Yen is not the cheapest, but if there’s one lesson I’ve learned in my 33 years of existence, it is that (in most cases) you truly get what you pay for.
I have never met a doctor who was so un-​intimidating, patient, caring, and attentive to my needs. He was the most academically qualified in the 4 different surgeons I visited-​and I have to warn you that you should never let a regular DDS put in a dental implant as most have only attended a weekend implant seminar b4 performing implants on unsuspecting clients (am I reminding you of those $ 1200 implant + crown ads in the newspaper?).
Dr. Yen and his staff continue to impress me with their professional and friendly service. I am never afraid to ask questions, never afraid to send him an email or give him a call if I have any concern.
My implant process has been very successful and Dr. Yen has always been there to help with any concerns I had.
I urge anyone looking for a doctor of any kind, to look for one that you are not intimidated by, one that you have access to if you have concerns or just general questions, and most importantly, one that is patient and doesn’t make you feel like they are so busy, they don’t have time to deal with you.
Dr. Yen has really changed how I choose doctors of any kind in the future. He is truly one-​of – a-​kind. I recommend anyone interested in implants to at least give him a chance at a consultation, once you meet him, you will understand why I give him such high props!
My poor toothless gap has been restored after 8 long years… no more crooked smile or covering my mouth when I burst out laughing!
