OC Auto Exchange

I use to sell car’s for Mitsubishi so I know a thing or two about how things are supposed to work in the dealer ship business. Mitsubishi is a fairly large company so believe it or not we actually WANT our customers to buy cars and strive on customer service. This dealer this however does not. Matter of fact they could care less if you buy from them or not. I saw my dream car on their web site a 2009 Pontiac G8. I went to see it and took it for a test drive. Before driving over there over the phone I asked if it has all stock parts. I spoke to Nick and was told yes, it was in great condition and everything was stock. Before the test drive I looked under the hood of the car. What stuck out like a sore thumb was one of the parts on the engine which was obvious aftermarket because it has some type of (racing) label on it which I know for a fact was not originally part of the G8. Outside everything went well until we went inside to what I thought was to negotiate but I was wrong. We went inside and he ran my credit. I’m 23 and a first time buyer. It’s not like I’ve owned a house or multiple car loans throughout my life so my credit was around 670 or so. Not great but not bad and no reason to be bad like any red flags or anything. Please keep in mind this is a used 2009 vehicle with about 80k miles on it. With taxes and everything else included the total was going to be $ 35k and about $ 440 per month. I made it very clear that I used to sell cars so not to try and pull wool over my eyes. Come to find out without telling me until I caught him he added all the extra packages and add-​ons which jacked up the price higher. After confronting him about it and getting him to drop all the extra stuff, is when it went down to the $ 440 (yes it was about $ 100 + higher for the monthly payments). He said the reason he could not budge on the price is because «this is a hot selling car and it will be off of the market within a week» He said he could not do it without a cosigner. I told him I could call my dad and ask. Since Nick could see this was not going anywhere as I was about to make my phone call he excused himself and said he will be back. Except HE NEVER CAME BACK. I sat there like a dumb ass for about 15 min as I saw him running around doing other things. I stood up and walked right out without saying a word and even walked right passed him. No one ever said anything to me and I never got a call from them after I left. A SALESMAN LITERALLY WALKED OUT ON ME. In my few years of actually selling cars I have NEVER pulled that stunt and would probably catch hell if I did.
I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad that deal didn’t work out. Matter of fact, thank you Nick. You save me a lot of head ace with the lemons your selling. You know why. A few months after that. For the hell of it since I wasn’t getting anywhere with other used car dealers without a co-​buyer I drove down to a Kia dealer ship (Cerritos Kia) and took a look at the Optima’s. Which was not my dream car but I think the Optima’s are pretty nice looking cars. The salesman and lady over there were AWESOME!!! I got a brand new 2016 Kia Optima. Without a co-​buyer and for almost the same exact price that OC Auto Exchange was trying to sell me a 2009 80k miles car for!!! I got my Optima for around 35k give our take (that’s including taxes, registration, finance, and a 4 year warranty) and only $ 436 per month! Sure my Optima isn’t the supercharged, sports addition and all, but I have a touch screen, blue tooth, and a few more pretty cool options. It was so new it hadn’t even been test driven. They pulled it out of storage. It had only 5 miles on it. So it was NEW, NEW. Also I kept an eye on Oc Auto Exchanges website for the 2009 Pontiac. It stayed on their website for over a month. «Hot seller» MY ASS!!!

I just bought my first car Prius for a great deal. The sales man that helped me out was Chris C. Great guy that was friendly and helpful to answering all my questions about my hybrid Prius. If you go here ask for Chris C. and he will take good care of you

Chris told me that they do a tire check and made sure it was at a 55% but obviously it wasn’t
They refuse to give me a tire change and want to charge me for something they promised on the paper

Beware of OC Auto Exchange. They are not honest. They will not tell you that their cars have frame damage history. This place gave me a mickey mouse carfax, so i felt for it and I ended up buying the car. Next day, I bought a real experian auto check for $ 24.99 and when i got the report, i was super upset. The report showed that the car was in a serious rear ended car crash. As a result the this car crash, the car’s main frame was severe damage. As i keep reading the auto check report, i found out that there was a second car crash-​after the car was fixed from the first accident. To make the long story short, i went back to to OC Auto Exchange to return the car. DAVID-​manager– told me that the only way to return the car, I needed to pay $ 150.00 for canceling the contract and $ 500.00 for restocking fee and that it had to be paid in cash. Yes, I did paid the $ 650.00 and returned the vehicle. Before you buy a car from OC AUTO Exchange make sure you buy a real car report because their report is not accurate. MY ADVICE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. By the way, there are a couple of dealers OCautoexchange, LAautoexchange, Santa ANA Autoexchange.

his is the most scandalous BS dealership I’ve EVER bought from and you should RUN! Find one of those hole in the wall ghetto places in Los Angeles and you would not get as screwed or lied to as THIS piece of lying crap scandalous dealership. If you go ahead and buy from there, hit me up so I can sell you ocean front property in the Mojave desert. You’d be better off.

They sold me a car and kept talking about the low mileage and clean title. Both were true, but what they DIDN’T tell me is that it had been in a serious accident with many replaced parts, but most importantly, it had a damaged frame. So any accident and I’m a lot more likely to fold. Anyone with car knowledge knows how dangerous a damaged frame is. I don’t understand how money is more important than safety to people.
Had they told me then yes, if I bought it anyway, that would be on me. But that’s not what happened.

Avoid this place at all costs I bought a car from them a year and a half ago they sold me a bs warranty on the car which was 1200 so when anything happened to the car this «warranty» never covered any of it i. e (sensor malfunction, window motor breakdown, antifreeze hose breaking) I paid all out of pocket, so anyway I trade the car in to the Chevy dealer and buy it off me. They tell me that the OC auto exchange has to refund you the remaining years on this «warranty» I only had the car 1 ½ years they have to give me back the 3 ½ years worth of this «warranty» value. So I go in person to ask for it, I can already tell the guy is giving me the run around when he tells me that I have to call the warranty company and that everything is done online, he actually goes on Google on his iPhone to give the warranty companies number wtf I could of done that I went to get back on what’s left of the remaining value of the warranty since I don’t owe the car anymore and the Chevy dealer told me it is by law that these crooks have to refund you, just save yourself a headache and stress don’t give these crooks business. Oh and it would of been 0 stars but Unilocal required one.

Zero stars. And a report to the better business bureau is to follow. This place needs to be SHUT DOWN. I honestly don’t know how these people sleep at night. To be so rude, incompetent and dishonest over and over. I don’t understand how they’re still open. My situation is similar to all the others on this review page except they also managed to screw me over with my old vehicle as well! I traded it in and they never switched the title out of my name! So far I’ve received a total of 3 different parking citations by mail that I am NOT responsible for! So I have to go to the DMV on my own time submit forms THEY should have submitted months ago and prove to the city of long beach that I’m not responsible for these parking tickets I keep receiving. And of course my calls and emails to the manager DAVID have been worthless. The man hasn’t lifted a finger or responded to my emails and has no customer service manner AT ALL. So I’m stuck doing they’re work for them! WHAT A JOKE!!!

If there was a way to give less than one, I would. Bought a Ford F150 05 from here. First they screwed up all the paper work. Not part of it but all of it! The DMV papers, the. Finance papers and the warrenty papers. After having the truck for 3 months, driving it very little because I was waiting for DMV stuff to be straightened out, I have now taken to dealer for repair once…2500 $ and now back again… Needs transmission !! Who knows how much now !! Terrible terrible experience service and product !!

Almost purchased a vehicle from these scammers. Luckily, a deal that is too good probably is. Come to find out the car had major FRAME damage that somehow was not reported to CarFax. Had we not kept digging & had a friend that sells cars run the VIN we would bought a car that was worth nothing. Don’t trust the Carfax, pay for the Experian car check on your own. I would avoid this place & go to a reputable dealership. Don’t buy any cars that the Carfax shows was purchased out of state at an auction. You will no doubt end up buying a car that is damaged & you won’t know it until it’s too late.

Stopped by on our way home to see a car my husband was looking for. Saw the vehicle online for a great price. Upon arriving we noticed that the car was boxed in near the very back of the lot right smack in the middle. First thought was no way they would pull it out for a test drive since there were about 6 cars in front of it. but much to our surprise, Christian came out and offered to bring it out. within a few minutes we were taking it for a spin. my husband fell in love with it and the rest was history. Christian was very polite and in no rush to get us out of there (even tho it was already after hours) he took the time to explain everything thoroughly so we weren’t left confused. We are very happy with our purchase and will definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a car. As an added bonus they offer a full wash and detail with our purchase! Thank you Christian for your help and the great experience!

Lack in skills and service.
I called first to confirm if a vehicle was still available before driving from Riverside.
I find out a car that was supposedly available… all of a sudden «just sold» when we walked in. A sale processed within 45 minutes. Hmmm
Seems more like a bait vehicle to get people in there. Immediately left… I was there for a whole 2 minutes.
Will not even consider time energy or my money to this dealership.
Not to mention the guy as you just walk in was rude and restless (strung out).
Gave 1 star because Unilocal requires at least one.

Alright, let’s get to the review:
I am not an easy person to deal with. I have an attitude and demand quality. I was also buying this car out of desperation for reliable transportation. Regardless of the attitude I gave them, everyone was still professional in person (over the phone they can be somewhat vague, confusing, and kinda rude, so I recommend going in person to ask for questions). This is the first time I purchased a car off a dealership.
I paid cash for a 2004 Nissan Sedan. The car runs well. It had some stain damage and upholstery rips, but they gave me paperwork that guarantees they will fix this whenever I want to bring it back for the upgrade-​no charge.
We worked with Christian for most of the deal. Chris and Nick also helped with the contact work. And their main owner/​manager took us on a test drive. This is a base pay lot, so you may start with one guy but end up with someone else. Yes this is confusing but they are all helpful and work with each other to help you out with any questions you may have (or accusations).
The car started to smoke when we got on the freeway after we purchased and signed all the contracts. We brought it back immediately and they stayed after hours to see why this may be happening. They explained the coating or finisher they sprayed can cause that, but encouraged us to get a second opinion for our own verification. The next morning the car wouldn’t start and we called the dealership. They had called us earlier that morning to recontract because apparently something on the former contract was done wrong. Obviously we got upset and told them that we would be missing class to do all this but that we weren’t paying more for the car in the recontract, especially because the battery was dead. Christian and my husband were not communicating well over the phone, so Christian insisted the conversation be finished in person. We asked him for an email to send to our professors and he delivered that.
We recontracted with no additional charged and they replaced the battery too. Overall, while we feared that we would end up with a lemon, they made sure we didn’t. They were very helpful after all. As first time buyers, we can’t tell you if it was the best experience of our lives (and it wasn’t because there were scares), but I would purchase a car from them in the future and send friends there too.
Oh, okay so one thing is that the first time the contract said one price and the dealer was asking for 20 that weren’t on the contract. We pulled out our calculator and showed them, and they apologized and made sure we only paid what the contract stated. They are a little messy with their customer service, but as they helped us understand, we as car buyers also have to keep them on check and be demanding of information if we want to make sure that the deal went well. After all, we are responsible for what we ask or don’t ask for. And with that, I agree with them. I am a satisfied customer and a new car owner to an amazing used car. I got it for a little over 3500! Can y’all believe that! I’m so happy!

This place is an absolute scam. Avoid at all costs, and don’t be drawn in by the prices they falsely advertise.
I was shopping around for a car for my Fiancée and we ended up seeing a potential «deal» on this dealer’s website. The pictures looked attractive, and they provide a free Carfax, so we assume the dealer was on the up and up. Big mistake.
First thing I noticed when I arrived on their lot was how crammed it is. They have a roughly 10×10 grid of cars parked bumper to bumper and side to side in their parking lot. The car we were looking at happened to be right in the middle. Already a turn off, we were going to be waiting awhile to test drive while they pulled the car out. Not a huge problem though, the deal was decent so we went inside and got someone to grab the keys so we could check the car out. A 20 something year old who seemed pleasant enough grabbed them and we went to take a look.
That’s when things started to really go south. Immediately when we saw the car we noticed a major crack in the windshield. Note that the car was listed on their site as being on «special» for a couple hundred dollars off what they normally charge, and the Carfax showed that they had possession of the car for a few weeks. More than enough time to fix this issue.
I immediately balked at the idea of buying the car but was reassured by the salesman that it would be fixed before we took possession of the car and that we would have that in writing. He was really pushing the test drive. We went with it, because if the issue was fixed, who cares?
When we opened the door the shifter was missing the shift knob. The young salesman said something along the lines of «no worries, we keep them inside.»
Uh, okay. Weird but whatever. Can you get it?
He went to look for it and came out a few minutes later empty handed, said he would need to order one.
Things were really starting to get annoying at this point but again, the price was right and he promised to fix the issue before the sale was made. I noticed the TPMS light was on and that prompted me to check the tires. All four needed to be replaced, 2 were at ~10% tread, 2 were at ~30% tread. I brought this up. Salesman agreed to pay to replace the two front tires (at 10% tread) if we bought the car.
We went for the test drive. Car drove well. Then we sat down to discuss numbers.
That lasted all of three minutes. He quoted a number way above what the car was advertised for, claiming that the difference was taxes/​fees/​registration. I asked for an itemized list of what the charges were. I knew exactly what the taxes and fees would cost on this car before we even walked in.
They were charging hundreds of dollars for «accessories,» among other unscrupulous and misleading things. I asked if the «accessories» charge was for the fixes we requested (the windshield, tires and missing shift knob) and he proceeded to give me some ridiculous spiel about theft prevention garbage that had to be included with the car. My response — if you’re going to force me to pay hundreds extra for something you’re making me buy with the car, even though I’m paying cash up front and NOT financing, you need to advertise that in the price before wasting an hour of my time. His number was about $ 700 higher than what the cost should have been, based on the advertised price of the car and the taxes/​fees based on the DMV website.
We wasted an hour listening to their shady promises and waiting for them to pull the car out, only to find out they lied about the advertised price because they include ridiculous «accessory» charges that they force you to pay. They also misled us about the condition of the car with their description on their website. This dealer reeks of shady business practices. Avoid at all costs.

Worst car buying experience ever. 0 stars
I looked around OC for months looking for a specific car, found one with relatively low miles at OC auto exchange, so I went to check it out.
The car was packed in like a sardine and wouldn’t start, battery was dead, so they jump started it and bumped and scratched the side of the car and 3 other cars with their jumpstarter cart. Then took about 20 minute to move the other cars so I could take it for a test drive.
Jacob told me he would put a new battery in it and detail it if i bought it.
When I was trying to negotiate just a little they got aggressive and complained that they needed to replace the batter in the car already and that they just did an oil change on it… and he tild me they knew someone would eventually pay full asking price on it because it was an amg? haha
They would not budge on the price at all, I mean at all. Despite my serious interest and my 2 visits to try and work a deal. They actually eventually offered me 20 dollars off on a $ 30k used mercedes that sells private at the time for 5k less plus no tax haha insulting!
I decided to buy the car anyway because It was exact color combo I wanted, had lowish miles, and I was tired of looking around.
Then after I signed the financial papers and was now into the «if you back out there is a restock fee» which means a few hundred dollars to park it back in the lot 20ft away, they pull out the frame damage waiver for you to sign after he convinced you it didnt have any. Sneaky sneaky,
Then I noticed the battery they put in was already 3 yrs old, and I never got my car detailed either because it was going to take all day.
And yes while you are waiting around in the office after calling to confirm they had time, people will stare at you from their desks instead of asking if they can help or who u are waiting for, they will eat fast food while working on your papers etc etc.
By far the least professional and most rude and crooked used car dealer I’ve ever exerienced. A serious contributor to the bad name used car dealers get.
Don’t go there, don’t let your friends go there, feel free to spit on the building if you are walking by.
In all fairness I bought my car there over a year ago. New staff and management could make a big difference.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences every time I come to buy or sell my vehicles. The prices are reasonable and the Sales are really knowledgable about the vehicles and products they are selling.
The vehicles that I’ve purchased have been in good condition even long after the purchase.

I just called to inquire about a vehicle, Never thought just a phone call would make me decide on taking my business elsewhere. Didn’t get the person’s name but dude was rude, didn’t really answer any of my questions gave me vague answers and rushed the call like he had to leave or something. judging by these other reviews I Would say there is a Cultural problem at OC auto exchange. Damn shame, they had the exact car I wanted too.

I was checking their website for a particular vehicle and I saw that there was a price drop. I called them to inquire and they said the car was still available. I checked their website the following day for that same car and I noticed an increase in price. Just because I asked about the car they increase the listed price? Lol. I guess all the reviews about this place is true.

Let me first start off by saying that I’ve been in commission sales /​customer service for nearly a decade now for 2 fortune 500 companies. I’ve also studied Business Management in college and in the many years in school and career, I’ve learned one key ingredient for success of a business… Providing Extraordinary Customer Service. It is truly one thing that money cannot buy, and 100% comes from happy employees who are truly dedicated to their work and their customers. It is my pleasure to write this review for this dealership who has exceeded my expectations.
I cannot speak for others but I will speak in regards to my purchase back in Sep. In contrary to negative reviews, I have to say I’ve had the BEST car buying experience from Christian and Ian from this dealership and here’s why.
Christian approached me on the car lot very casually and made me feel more like a friend versus just another customer. He didn’t pressure me to purchase the vehicle, rather, allowed me as much time as I needed and answered all my questions.
Christian was honest and did not sugar coat anything. He told me exactly how everything was and I purchased the vehicle the same day. There were some flaws on the vehicle that he agreed to have repaired for me and when I returned a few days later, the vehicle looked NEW again. I was impressed.
At this point, Ian came into the picture. He helped me out with the rest of the paperworks, work orders, etc. He was very friendly despite the fact that I didn’t buy the vehicle from him. He wasn’t the manager, he was another sales associate so he had no obligation to treat me well or to build any rapport with me, but he did. I had some questions regarding my contracts and he went over everything with me from the beginning to end. Explained everything and answered all my questions and never once tried to pawn me off or brush me off for the next customer. True teamwork and extraordinary customer service exhibits in this dealership.
Seems like a paid review doesn’t it? Well its not and it doesn’t end here.
A week later I noticed that there was a small crack in the center high mount tail light. I was preparing for the worst because its something that I did not address prior to purchasing the vehicle. I was expecting Christian to tell me «No I cannot cover that,» but when I called him to see how much it would cost to replace it, he told me he’d find out and call me back. At this point, anyone of you thats been in this same situation would say, «great, they won’t call me back.» WRONG! He called me back 2 mins later and said, «Scott, we ordered the part for you from Toyota and it will be in first thing tomorrow morning. When can you bring the car in so we can replace it for you?» I stated as a joke, «wait, how much is it?» because the part was going for over $ 100 -$ 300 online…
BEST PART: He said… «No Charge.»
You should have seen the look on my face in disbelief. I have to admit I had my doubts about purchasing a vehicle from a smaller used card lot with a 2 star rating on Unilocal… However, Christian and Ian has surpassed my expectations! The negative comments on this page don’t do justice for this dealership.
I waited to write this review so I can put couple thousand miles on my vehicle and know everything’s all good and guess what… IT IS. I LOVE MY CAR! RUNS GREAT, GOT A GREAT DEAL, GREAT FINANCING, GREAT RATE, AND FOREMOST, GREAT SERVICE! Totally took my by surprise. I would 100% recommend everyone to go to this dealership specifically and see either Christian or Ian for their next car.

Once you are in the process of buying the car they are so friendly. Once the purchase of the car is completed they will give you the worse costumer service ever. The reason why i said this is because I put 200 down for them to put the car on the side for me and they suppose return the money back to me when they receive the check from my credit union. In fact they did received the check and for me to get the 200 dollars back was a pain you know where. I had to spoke to 5 different persons to get the money back.
Besides that they are eating MC Donald’s in front of you processing all the paper work. Not professional at all.

Take it from a from a buyer who made the mistake of doing business here. The place is run by a bunch of stuck up young guys who will lie through their grinning teeth to get the sale then once you purchase they give you the run around by saying they will talk to someone and call you back.
They won’t call you back, you will have to hassle them until they do find a guy who will be willing to talk to another angry customer because they will have to tell you about why they can’t help you fix the car with the warranty THEY sold you doesn’t cover it.
And since they know they can’t help you and don’t really seem to want to help you they will give you a hard time and smart ass comments. So much for costumer service. I wish I would have Unilocaled before buying here. Be warned this business is the prime example of what a typical dirty used car salesman is!!!
We started noticing things the week we purchased the car. We had to come in to get them to talk to us. They said they would fix the first few things we noticed like an inoperative headlight and a rear window that doesn’t roll down. We got the car back and nothing had been done after 2 hours of waiting there. They said they would call us back about getting the motor on the window fixed, we have yet to hear from them. They also included in our contract ordering a shift knob for the broken one that was in the car. 6 months later and they still don’t have it. We have had to get new shocks because the ones that are on the car were shot, we had to get someone to weld a muffler back on correctly as it was being held up by a single screw and from what we are told was going to fall off at any moment… along with a laundry list of other things.
Their cars are auction cars that are pieced together and sold with «clean titles». Save yourself the time and trouble!
Their cars are guaranteed a lemon! Anyone who gives the place five stars is a friend of a sales guy or was paid to help get their ratings up.

I drop by here 2times with my hubby.
My experience is perfectly nagative.
When we r looking for a car, nobody care of us even if sales man pass us.
Nobody want to help us so we cannot wait it.
Finally we went to a office.
Two people was doing something n both saw us but they ignore us.
I never ever saw as this kind of dealer.
Today, their act is the same as before.
Nobody concern abut us.
When we visited the office, two dealer are talking each other. thats it…
