Salon Midori

I’ve been going to Salon Midori for many years, long before it was at its present location. After all, it’s not the location that makes the difference, it’s the team. As a guy, maybe I view the operation in a different way than the mostly female clientele: I don’t know much about color, tinting, and what-​all the ladies go through, but one thing that stands out for me is the absolute precision of the salon. Nothing is left to chance, appointments don’t get dropped; I don’t get stuck waiting past the time I opted for and there is never a feeling of being rushed.
Unlike other places I have gone, the staff at Midori are all professional in appearance, bearing and skill. And just as important they are friendly and good humored, making the experience something to look forward. Before I began going to Midori haircuts were a tedious chore (remember:…guy here) to be put off like a visit to the dentist. Now I sit back to enjoy the comradery and bantering of the «troops» while I get not only my haircut, but my massage and pedicure as well, one after the other. Massage and pedicure? Hey, I was skeptical too, but try it, guys … you won’t regret it!

Sara is the best. She has been doing my hair for years and I have followed her to each salon. She is the only one I trust to cut my hair properly. She does great color and she is a natural with styling. Weddings and up do are just one of her many talents. She teaches cosmetology as well so she is well educated on the basics in addition to natural talent. Most importantly, she has great passion for her work.

Sara is amazing! I went into the salon with extremely orange hair that I had done with box dye!!! I explained my situation and told her what my desired color was and she gave me serval options and made me feel comfortable and confident. Thanks to Sara I know have a natural blonde color and I am ready for my engagement picture :)
The atmosphere of the salon was very attractive and inviting. I look toward to continuing to go here for all of my hair care needs!!!

I received a haircut from Sara and was very disappointed. The main reason I was unhappy is that I left with a totally different haircut than I had asked for. She cut my hair without any regard to what I asked for. When she was finishing up I had to remind her that I wanted bangs. She gave me bangs on one side of my hair. The haircut is very sloppy. I left with an A line bob, which was not what I wanted. And it is uglier as it grows out. I was hoping to find a salon where I could be a repeat customer, but I did not find it here.

RACHAEL SMITH IS THE BEST!!! Typically I am so picky about my hair, but I just let Rachael do her thing. She always asks me what I want, I tell her, and then she makes me look 10X better then when I walked in!

First time coming here and had Lola work her magic! Turned my medium blonde hair to the granny hair (gray) look. A little darker in the front, but will lighten up in a couple of weeks. I really like it! Thank you Lola for such an amazing job. You have a new client and see you next month for more fun!

Priscilla cut my long hair into beautiful long layers and did a fantastic job. Very reasonable pricing and friendly staff.

Sega is absolutely phenomenal! I have been coming to her for the past 2 years and I will not go anywhere else. I decided to do an Ohmbre color and Sega did an amazing job, I cried tears of joy because I was so happy with her work and the transformation she was able to accomplish.

Jodie is seriously the best hair stylist I’ve ever had. She cares so much about my hair and her client base is stacked due to her professionalism, her skill and her relatable sense of humor. Believe me, she doesn’t need me to write her a review, but I just had to since she does such an excellent job. Every time I leave I feel fresh with a boost of confidence that every girl loves to walk away with. It’s the worst when you walk out of a hair salon dissatisfied with your haircut. I never am shocked by her haircuts with the typical story of «wow she cut off all my hair when I went in for a trim.» I appreciate her so much! Can’t wait for my next appointment with her.
Also the salon is super clean and upscale. Nice big waiting area, the staff is super friendly and helpful. Never an uncomfortable experience. Salon Midori is where it’s at!

Nicki is awesome! I have never been happy with the way anyone did my hair until I came to her. I go to her about every 5 – 6 weeks to get my roots done and each time I always look forward to it because she is super friendly and and I love watching everyone else around me getting their hair done and enjoying their time as well.

5 FREAKING HUGE STARS for SARAH! I was in town on vacation and was feeling the itch to cut my long hair. After reading Unilocal reviews, i gave them a call and they were able to schedule me for a haircut with Sarah. She was super sweet, took time to hear me out and see what i had in mind and had suggestions for my hair type. She gave me an amazing asymmetrical a-​line bob! If you want an awesome cut ask for Sarah. As a plus, the rest of the staff is really sweet and friendly.

Best massage I’ve ever had and I’m not exaggerating (my husband says I exaggerate a lot, but I’m not!). So my sister in law works at the salon and had been telling me for over a year to try their massage therapist because she is «amazing». So finally not being able to handle the pain in my neck and shoulders I made a Saturday appt and omgeeee the 1 hour massage flew by and my pain went away. The therapist was super friendly, asked about my pain, applied the perfect amount of pressure, would ask throughout the appt if pressure was good and the room ambiance was great. She was so knowledgeable whenever I asked questions about certain areas that hurt more than others. Needless to say I’m coming back. Make sure you make your appt with Prima. She’s the therapist that worked on me. I think they have another therapist but Prima was the one my sister in law recommended and who I recommend! Going back next month for sure.

I got a facial with Molly this morning at salon Madori. It was amazing! So relaxing and she explained everything she was doing so that I am able to continue with care at home. I even got a a FREE peal with my facial as part of the holiday special. She mentioned that they have different specials throughout the year as well. It was very reasonably priced! She was very sweet and easy to talk to… and she knew her stuff! I will definitely be coming back to see her soon! She also waxed my brows and I am loving the shape and also that it was convenient that it was in the same place! I will be coming to her for a Brazilian soon (check back for another review).

I came for a haircut and the stylist didn’t really care and asked what style she can style for me. She gave me a blunt cut and i wasn’t really happy. I feel that she really didn’t want to work on my hair after I asked her a few questions regarding the price. The other stylist in the salon was staring at me after I asked her how much was the cost of the haircut. When I went to check out, the receptionist asked me do I need to put anything on it. She meant am i going to tips the stylist. i feel like I was forced to do what i don’t want to do. The haircut was a blunt cut, she didn’t even give me any style and it cost $ 50. I also tip her $ 20 which I felt that I shouldn’t. I was just in a rush because she wanted to rush and go home herself. I wasn’t happy with the haircut at all. I will never return here again.

Ask for Sega she is the best Hair stylist i have ever met you show her a color and she will make it happen and she will go above and beyond by telling you which makeup would work with that color as well. I went Red head and she recommended a bronzer and naked lip stick. She also gave me good tips on keeping my hair healthy and maintaining the color. Loving my new look. Sega Is awesome :)

After losing my hair girl a few years ago (lost custody in my divorce, haha), I had a hard time finding someone that was an acceptable replacement. I needed someone wonderful to stick with. I tried someone here and someone there and after some pretty decent and pretty awful experiences, I was recommended to Salon Midori and Kellie. HALLELUIAH!!! I walked out after my first appointment SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited!!! Didn’t want to review until I’d at least gone back and made sure that it was not a fluke… it wasn’t. She’s amazing! I’ve never in my entire life been happier with my hair. I have very fine baby hair that doesn’t want to do anything that I tell it to do. I also want to stick with my natural born color (just helping Mother Nature since my hair isn’t following the rules) and just one picture and discussion with Kellie and BAM, I walked out with the perfect color and plenty of ideas and product recommendations.
Not only does she rock the highlights and trim, she’s honest and fairly priced. It’s love!
The salon itself is in great condition with a wide open relaxing feel to it. Every stylist seems extremely pleasant and they all get along great (from my observation anyway). They offer nails, manis, pedis and body massage too. It’s definitely a spa. I haven’t tried all that the salon has to offer, but I’m so very, VERY pleased that I was pointed in the right direction finally. From the looks of reviews, it seems everyone is happy with their experience here. I’ve found a new home.

Every so often I try a different salon and hairdresser… how dumb am I. I have been going to Catalina Aguirre at Salon Midori for many years and she works wonders both in cut, styling and coloring. I can give her four pictures of hairstyles taking a bit from each and she manages to combine them all and give me the look I want. Everyone in the salon is nice and I don’t think in the years I have gone there have I seen any bad haircuts walk out the door. If you are looking for a quality salon with reasonable prices look no further.

My stylist was SEGA Gonzalez and she did amazing! First of all I was a walk in and she accepted me even as her shift was ending. she asked how I wanted my cut and she did exactly what I asked for but better! She is very nice and friendly and keeps conversation but not over doing it or making it awkward like some stylist do. she asks questions on how I want it but also gave her opinion when I asked. I always like the stylist opinion since I feel they do know more than me lol I am so glad she squeezed me in! The location is also way bigger than it looks from the outside. It’s very clean and everyone is nice. They don’t only do hair but also do facials and massages. I will definitely be going back to her again.

I am beyond picky with who I let touch my hair and Vicky is officially hired for life!
After so many fails with other stylist in different salons she’s a keeper everybody lol I first went to her to fix what somebody else had done and now my second time around I decides to add highlights to my trim and it’s exactly what I wanted =)
The cherry on top is the salon. Everyone is so friendly and it’s so clean. Wish I could rave some more but I feel like enjoying my hair and day lol
