St. Jude Surgery Center

I could not have been happier with our experience here. Neither my husband nor I have ever had surgery before — thank goodness our first experience with it was here. First of all, this is a new building that opened about three or four years ago. So, everything is new, modern, and clean. Second of all, this is not part of the hospital, so no sick people here or any sort of emergency situations taking place. This is where people go for the types of surgeries that can be scheduled in advance. It is calm, quiet, and peaceful.
The surgery prep area was clean, modern, and comfortable. The nurses who attended to my husband were very warm, friendly, and helpful. In fact, every nurse I saw (whether they were helping us or talking with someone else) was super nice. After my husband’s procedure was done, someone came out to find me in the very nice waiting room and took me back to see him. The nurses were super sweet and actually made the experience light-​hearted and fun. My husband, while admittedly still a little sedated, was having a great time joking around and laughing with them. I, on the other hand, got all of my questions answered and appreciated their thoroughness.
Everyone here, from the doctors to the nurses to the staff, were so professional and nice to us. I couldn’t believe how quickly the whole situation flew by — we were out of there hours before I expected. And the $ 3 valet parking is a great deal! Everything combined made this the best possible experience for us — I can’t believe how pleasant it was!
