Tip Top Tattoo Parlor

Tip Top is hands down one of the best shops I’ve had the pleasure of going in to.
My best friend and I wanted to get vacation tattoos so we called Dre a couple days before, and he set everything up immediately!
I was tattooed by Kirk, and he was WONDERFUL!
I couldn’t have picked a more passionate artist to put something on my body forever.
I’ll always come back when I’m in California.

I had my second ever tattoo done by Dre yesterday which turned out very lovely and caused little distress.
I was a little nervous since my first tattoo done at a shop in New Orleans didn’t turn out so great and throughout the entire process I felt very uneasy.
To my astonishment, I had no such feelings during the session with Dre. I felt completely comfortable with hardly any agitation!
I would highly recommend him and the other tattoo artist present, Kirk, who tattooed my friend. Overall, I had a great experience and no longer fear being tattooed.

Tip Top Parlor is the best of the best. Everyone is so welcoming and makes you feel right at home. I have been getting tattooed by Dre for many years now. His traditional style is one of a kind. Thick lines and bold colors. Keeps me coming back for more. Honestly you won’t regret getting work done here these guys are a whole other level of artist.

I found this location on Unilocal when I wasn’t able to meet with my usual artist for a good amount of time and wanted something simple to commemorate an important life event asap. I was impressed by the reviews and pictures so I gave them a call. I don’t remember who I spoke with, but they were helpful with suggesting good artists for what I wanted and good times to drop by.
The next day I went to Tip Top, spoke with Mikey who helped me figure out exactly what I wanted and volunteered to draw it on the spot and tattoo right then. I was getting tattooed an hour after I had walked in the door.
Mikey had great suggestions, made me feel comfortable and gave me an awesome tattoo.

When making any decision, I tend to go with how I feel about something. A few months back, I began searching for the right tattoo shop to get my first tattoo. I based this decision off the artists’ work AND how comfortable and welcomed I felt when I first walked through the doors.
I then decided that Tip Top was the place to go. Fast forward a few months later, to this weekend, and I finally set up an appointment and was tattooed by Mikey. His confidence in his work helped me feel more at ease with getting my first tattoo. His artwork is amazing and his attention to detail was more than I expected. I am so in love with what he created! I will be back for more :) Thank you so much, Mikey, for my first, and very beautiful, tattoo!

Mikey is a fun guy to get a tat from. On top of that he has good workmanship and clean lines. He’s patient with placement, he wants to get the tat just right. The first time I went in i got a piece that my friend had drawn, and he did a great job on it. The second time I wanted an american traditional style eye, which he did beautifully. He has great ideas for his pieces, but doesn’t push them on the client. He has a vision, but ultimately wants the client to be happy. I love the vibe of the shop, and I will definitely be going back for years to come.

Got my first tattoo here and what an amazing experience! I’ve been with other friends to get their tattoos and this shop definitely exceeded my expectations.
All of the artists were friendly and from what I could tell their artwork looked really good. Louie takes the cake though. His artwork is one in a million.
This was a very clean shop with a very nice and respectful staff. Should I be getting any tattoos in the future, I’ll definitely keep this place in mind!

I absolutely love this shop. It doesn’t have that stuck up vibe that a lot of shops have. I’ve gotten tattooed by both Kirk and Mikey, both turned out super bold and healed perfectly.
I’d totally keep getting tattooed here if I wasn’t moving away.

I just got my first ever tattoo today by Mike and overall it was a great experience. Kirk is the one who originally helped me out and made me feel comfortable from the start and was really patient with designing my tattoo although it was a pretty difficult tattoo to grasp being in hebrew and all. I even ended up changing my design last second and Kirk was a phenomenal help. During the stenciling process Mike was really cool about it even when we re did it about 5 or 6 times and took the harder route just so my tattoo would be exactly how I wanted it to be, he was really helpful and patient during this entire time. The process of getting the actual tattoo was awesome too, Kirk and Mike are really chill, funny guys and without them I know my first tattoo experience wouldn’t have been as great as it was. Also I got a reasonably good price for my tattoo and the outcome of the tattoo was amazing, it looked even better than I wanted it too, you can really tell Mike and Kirk know what they are doing. I absolutely love my tattoo and its all thanks to these guys! Thank you Kirk and Mike!

Really awesome shop with some awesome workers. Mike did my tattoo and he did an amazing job. Both Mike and Kirk were awesome chill guys but very professional at the same time. I’ll be returning and spreading the word.

This place truly has everything a great tattoo shop should have: great ownership, top class tattooers and a clean/​sterile environment. Plus it’s located in the heart of Downtown Fullerton which offers its own perks.
I’ve had the pleasure of being tattooed by both Mikey Tay and Kirk and have nothing but good things to say about them. They know their craft and have the knowledge to take your idea and bring it to the next level. While I have not got tattooed by Dre, the owner, his work speaks for itself. You really can’t go wrong with any of the tattooers here.
If you are looking to get work done by experienced and quality tattooers in a fun and sterile environment then you owe it to yourself to check this place out.

Not only is this place Tip Top, but it’s Top Notch. I’ve been getting tattoos from Dre Perales for 10+ years, and Tip Top Tattoo Parlor is the real deal. Clean, Friendly, and always keeping it classy. Downright bad ass place to get your first of many tattoos. I’ve been to a few tattoo parlors where they made you feel like you were stupid for asking questions. Not this place, I highly recommend it to family, and friends. Best work in town.

This is a little tattoo shop in Fullerton and by far the best one. The guys are super cool, welcoming, and amazingly talented. Iv been tattooed by Kirk 4 times now and I’m always blown away by his work. I would recommend this shop to anyone, nothing but the highest quality of work from these guys! Bright and bold will hold.

A great place to get American Traditional Tattoos. I’ve gotten several tattoos here from Kirk Fagan and am always impressed by the quality.
The shop has a clean feel to it and the guys there are more than welcoming. If your looking for a place to get great American Tattoos with down to earth artists I suggest giving this place a try.

I’ve been coming here for a year now and have received five tattoos from Kirk. My latest one was the biggest I’ve gotten so far and it came out amazing. I would recommend anyone to this parlor! And I can’t wait to go back!

Tip top tattoo parlor is a local shop in the heart of downtown Fullerton. The shop is quaint and full of personality. The guys that work there are super talented and friendly. I’ve been getting work done done by the owner Dre Perales for years. When you connect with your artist you will always stay loyal. For any of you that are looking to get some nice clean traditional work done stop on in and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

The Tip Top brand means quality. I got a nice traditional American piece by Dre Perales. Very pleased with the work and design. Staff is super friendly and professional. These guys aren’t rockstar tattooer either. They will custom draw the piece until you are happy with it. I’m glad Tip Top has taken over this old tattoo spot
