Very low key place… in a great way! Beers were surprisingly good and the atmosphere was clean… and still smells new. The owner/Brewer was super engaging and knows his beer. Awesome logo… great place. Ask why they named it fainting goat.

My husband and I enjoy trying out new breweries. Saturday afternoon we stop in, this place is on the edge of downtown Fuquay Varina on Main St with private parking lot. The building has been renovated and much cleaner/finished than most breweries we have been visited. There were two women behind the bar. We ordered and learned that one of them did not know what she was doing at all, from pouring beer to using the square card reader, to knowing what type of beer was what. My husband got the pale ale, which was more of a fruit flavored amber. I tried to sampler and shared with him as well. All of their beers were sweet, fruity, and had a very ‘odd’ after taste. If I had to say one positive is that they had peanuts on the table and this would be a good place to take a girl that doesn’t like ‘standard’ beer.

I am so excited for the owners of Fainting Goat. My husband and I have been to this place nearly every weekend since they opened. We have not tried a beer that we didn’t like. My favorite is the Horny Honey Pomegranate Witbier, and my husband’s is the Stiff Leg Tripel. They do small batches of beer, which allows them to switch things up frequently. The owners are present and always make customers feel welcome. The peanuts and popcorn are a plus, and go great with the beers. We like sitting on the patio and also like the fact that we have the option of bringing our dogs. Last but not least, they have CLEAN restrooms. I have nothing bad to say about this place, and really hope that the business does well!

My wife and I went to the fainting goat this past Saturday. I went to check in and come to find out the business wasn’t in Unilocal yet. So I had the privilege of compiling the the about the fainting goat. So to my surprise I was beaten to writing the first review? It’s a laid back atmosphere. Its not pretensions, very casual. There are no TV playing sports, its a more of sit back with friends play a board game, cards and enjoy the«Honey Pom beer or the Pale Ale» My wife and i started with the pale ale. She actually enjoyed it. Which was a surprise to me. She’s not the biggest supporter of the micro beer scene. I than decided to get the Honey Pom wit beer, wow it was really good! My wife actually stopped drinking her beer and took over the Honey beer. For a red wine lover that to me was a big deal. So if you want a excellent beer that produces small batches of beer weekly, this is the place for you. Bring a few friends and hang out and enjoy what they have to offer.

I never knew fainting goats existed until tonight, YouTube it! Favs — Stiff Leg Tripel weighing in at 7.7%, it is easy to drink and delicious! I also liked the Horny Honey Pomegranate Honey Witbier. I have to say that all of the beers were good, I can’t wait to see what they are brewing up next! The floors, tables and bathrooms were nice(yes, another bathroom shoutout)! I can’t wait to try this place out again.
