I went to see Dr. Tran about my stress headaches to see if perhaps medication would help. She seemed nice and I thought I would go back. Let me say that I did reschedule the next appt to a later date and it was fine, no questions asked like one would expect. Then when I called (24 hours ahead of time) to reschedule that next appt due to a vomiting child, I was told that I would be charged $ 70 missed-​appt fee. When I asked that this be treated as a special exception since I couldn’t ask anyone else to watch a stomach virus child, I was told no and that she needed a Dr. s note. I wasn’t dragging my vomiting child into the doctor just to collect a note for this appt. (Everyone knows that all that is needed is time and rest to heal from a stomach virus). So I called back again to reason with the front desk who sounded very sorry but the answer from Dr. Tran was still no and that Dr. Tran herself «couldn’t» come to the phone. I called 3 or 4 times to try and make it clear that I wasn’t being one of «those» patients, I just had a difficult situation and could come at a later date no problem… but no.
Then when I got the bill for the missed appt. in the mail it had gone up to $ 90. I couldn’t bare, just on the principal of it, to pay the bill and figured if I let it go that she would too… since it was just too mean to charge someone for missing an appt (that I TRIED to reschedule) because their child was sick. Then the next bill came with the total now being $ 100 and a threat for sending it to collections. So all I have to say now is shame on Dr. Susan Tran. What a disgrace. I’m sure I signed somewhere on the endless pile of forms that I would pay a fee if I missed an appt. But when signing these papers you figure those things are for people who are trying to take advantage of the system and put in place to protect the doctor from bad situations or from patients who don’t call and just miss an appt. You don’t think they are put in place so the Dr. can basically rip you off. Sometimes you think that people are nice and human and understand that life isn’t always cut and dry… especially a psychiatrist. But apparently not here. So I don’t recommend her I will be sending in my $ 100 next week with a heavy, disgusted heart.
BTW, my stress headaches are much better now thanks to a different doctor… one who occasionally reschedules appointments as if it were no big deal… because it isn’t.

Dr. Tran is ridiculous. I made the mistake of going to see her. She really doesn’t give to craps about her patients. Starters. She was over charging my co payments. I’m not sure how she can accurately do her job in 20 min sessions. She put a you medication for anxiety, panic attack and depression with out any one to call if there is a problems. I called her office for 4 days. I left messages being it said there were after hours doctors on call if there was a problem. Which I have recorded. I finally got in touch with her secretary and the secretary’s response is she never calls her patients. That she does. The secretary. I told them that I most likely won’t be coming back for an appointment and would be looking for a new doc. They charged me $ 200 for 2 no shows that I signed agreement for. I wish the best of luck to who ever sees her. I will be filing complaints against her.

The business then had the audacity to send my parents a «no show» bill which they won’t be paying after they refused to see me. And they still won’t refund the credit on my account for copays that they required as a new patient deposit

Dr. Susan Tran at Haile Psychiatry has been providing me with professional, caring service for the last 3 years (give or take). She is intuitive, prompt, compassionate, and amazing at finding the perfect balance with medication and council. I am ever thankful for her service.
