Dr. Maulik Shah, MD, PhD is an Internist and Medical Geneticist and the Director of the Genetic Medicine Clinic, and an Adjunct Faculty Member at the University of Florida

Medical School — Dr. Shah is a graduate of the Medical College of Virginia

Dr Shah completed his Internal Medicine and Clinical Genetics training at the Baylor College of

Medicine in Houston, Texas. Among genetics departments at U.S.medical schools, the department ranks highest in both grants and funding from the National Institutes of Health.

Dr. Shah completed his PhD at the Medical College of Virginia conducting his research in Gene Therapy at the prestigious Clinical Gene Therapy Branch of the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Shah worked in the laboratories of R. Michael Blaese, French Anderson and Kenneth Culver who are credited with conducting the very first human Gene Therapy Experiment
