Target

This is the only Target in Gainesville, and hence the only place to get Target sales or items. This one is in Butler Plaza, which is the easiest large shopping center to get to from campus. As you might imagine, it’s crazy to get parking then get in or out at certain times, like beginnings of the semesters or on football game days (but during the game is actually easy). Not a Super Target, but good size and has what you’d expect.

guest services did not know what they were doing. Target store in Gainesville, FL was not helpful and had no clue what they were doing. I accidentally ordered the wrong diaper size and went to the store to exchange the diapers. Corina, the Target store customer service rep said they would not be able to exchange the item since it was a
item. They tried to return the two boxes of diapers minus the Target gift card amount since it was purchased during a promotion. I advised Corina that I brought the promotional gift card with me and wanted to return everything since I was not able to exchange the diapers for the correct size. They said they would not be able to return the promotional gift card. I corrected them because the promotional gift card I received came with a specific letter which stated that I needed to return the gift card for the full value return of the items or I could keep the gift card and receive a discounted value for the return value. I advised Corina that I was following exactly what the letter said and they were not fulfilling the instructions of the
letter. She said they had no idea and no possible way to return the gift card. Corina said the letter stated that I needed to «go to http://www/target.com/returns and follow the link to the online return center to print a store receipt for this gift card, as well as the item.» I advised her the link is only a FAQ link and has nothing to full out nor print out. I came to the store prepared with my order forms, my promotional gift card, the letter accompanying the Target promotional gift card, and all the items. Amy, another Target store customer service rep called the Target 800 number and requested assistance from the associate side. What a waste of time! Taylor, the Target 800 number associate rep told the store staff that he forced closed gift card so that they Target store staff could adjust the price to the full return value, but now I had to wait another two weeks for the new gift card to be mailed to me since I made the original purchase on a Target gift card which I received for my birthday. I told them, this is worse than what the store staff had propositioned. I was so aggravated at this point since I was there with my infant son who was fussing since I was there over an hour! I told them I will not wait another two weeks for a new gift card, which I had already had in my possession to be replaced! I told Amy, the store staff to advise Taylor, the Target 800 number associate rep to email me the gift card. He emailed me the gift card, and then Amy, the store staff transferred the balance to a Target gift card which I received for my birthday which I had in my possession. Neither the Target store staff, nor Target 800 number associate rep could fulfill my request. I then proceeded to call the Target customer service number to file a formal complaint of my horrific experience. I advised the first rep that I only wanted to speak with a supervisor, but he insisted he could help. I told him about my experience and he said «sorry, I will take a note and send it to the team as feedback.» I advised him that was not sufficient and that I wanted to speak with a supervisor to file a formal complaint… again, another Target employee wasting my time! He then transferred me to a supervisor, Sandra and I had to explain my situation again! She said sorry and said she has filed a formal complaint on the store, Corina and Amy, on the Target 800 associate rep, Taylor, on the Target promotional letter instructions which sent me to a link and said «Returns are fast and easy!», the Target customer rep who said he would help but only offered to submit my comments as «feedback» when I told him I wanted to file a formal complaint! She gave me a case number and then asked how she could remedy the situation. I advised her since this fiasco was a mistake on ordering the wrong size diapers, could she assist with fulfilling my correct order and still issue the promotional gift card which was offered during the original order. She said she was not part of the
office but that she would transfer the call to a supervisor in the
office to see if they could assist. I was transferred and the new rep was not advised of my situation and thus I had to go over and explain the whole fiasco AGAIN! Sandra did not tell the other staff whom she was transferring me to about my request, nor my complaint. I kept asking the current
rep if she was in the supervisor level and she said yes, but she did not have any idea what she was doing and was not helpful. She did not appear to be a supervisor. She kept telling me to repeat myself; she wasn’t following me when I was explaining my complaint and situation and request, almost as if she was doing something else.

I love to use my target red card there because of the 5% discounts-​plus! There are chances you receive coupons depending on which items you purchased. Cashiers are super friendly. :)

Target is one of my fav stores, second to Walgreens. It’s always so clean and organized with trendy clothes and nice home goods. There is literally no comparison between Target and Walmart. H*ll, the ppl who shop at target are usually working class ppl looking for affordable quality stuff; whereas, Walmart on the other hand… You know where I’m going with this??? I’ll spend a little more for good customer service and quality goods.
Cons: limited parking and lines can get long.
Pros: located right off the freeway near food and shopping.

We have been coming here since we moved here 8 years ago and only ever had once issue. The staff is always very helpful and they actually take the time to walk you to the item you are looking for and not just point and say that way. Deals are usually pretty good especially when it comes to new release DVDS. All in all not a bad place.

Ok I would say the photo printing machine sucks but the stuff was nice.

I have been coming to this Target for years, and it never disappoints. The staff is usually very friendly/​helpful, and they usually have pretty good deals.

It has everything you need!

This Target is on Archer Road in GAINESVILLE the biggest road in GAINESVILLE and is in a plaza with an old navy and an Ale House right in front of it. This Target is great but the only problem is the bathroom it was dirty blah. But the staff is friendly.

Target is in a nice location in GNV off of Archer Rd. It also has a large parking lot and lots of stores and restaurants surrounding it. This location is your adequate size for the store with a smaller section of grocery. They usually have great selection of sales and markdowns that change daily, so you have to get there early if you want the best selection. They also have a greater selection of college/​dorm supplies than most regular targets. Since they over-​order dorm stuff, you can usually find these items on clearance pretty fast.
Generally, this store is clean and well organized. I have come across shelves at times that are empty or out of stock, probably due to excessive couponing. This store is very coupon friendly, and they have never given me a hard time about saving money.
Only suggestion I would have is to visit during the weekdays. This store definitely gets crazy upon move-​in weekends and Gator games.

My son and I came in here to grab some batteries and have a snack. Pretty cluttered electronics and men’s section made the shopping suck and the food bar was dirty and unkempt. The bathrooms were clean however.

Customer Service Fail. When I did a juice fast and they wouldn’t help me at all when the juicer I bought from them broke in the middle of my fast.
I know, I still go there. And it’s still way better than Walmart. But they certainly aren’t winning any customer service awards.
The other night I was there and they literally shut the lights off at 10 for their closing. After ZERO closing announcements. It was very shocking and unprofessional.

Same old story… Target is still the best place to go, to buy what you do not need.
It doesn’t make me feel like trash and the people who shop there seem an upgrade from the usual discount clientele. Limited in inventory compared to Walmart, but worth it and good enough.

Targets better than Walmart, at least better service, but not the prices.

It’s Target. There is not much to say. The store is clean, the prices are fair (better when things go on sale or clearance), and it never seems to be overly crowded. I like that they added a few groceries into the store. The selection is limited though so don’t go expecting to find so obscure food.
The pharmacy is great. They generally have your meds ready within 15 minutes if you just drop it off. If you call it in then it is generally ready in 45 minutes to an hour. They are very good about transferring prescriptions from other pharmacies and take care of everything for you as long as you tell them the prescription and what pharmacy you want to transfer it from.
Overall it is your basic everything store that is clean and not overly busy.

i found a tiny kitten in the engine of a car parked at target and took her home.
the store could be in flames or a terrorist organization. based on the cat, i’d still give it five stars.

Target is always reliable… this location recently added the super-​market section which is a bit weird… I like target clothes and their deals on other household items, but I’m not sure how I feel about buying food from them! If you need something and aren’t sure where to buy it, try target first. :)

I gave Frank a Valentine’s Day card thanking him for being great and we had aforementioned Sweet Dreams ice cream and Frank got creepy.
Now the Target Pharmacy is just my pharmacy :(

Its a middle of the road basic Target. 4 steps up from WalMart, two up from KMart and (since Federated destroyed Burdines) only a step or two down from Macy’s.
Food items are fine, and their store brand stuff seems to be a cut above most store brands. Selection is average for this type store.
The parking lot can be a cluster**** at times, and the door/​drive relationship is pretty bad. That is really the only truly lame part of this particular big box place.
