Basils Pizza

So I’m new to the area and I’ve already had their food a few times. It’s good value and good flavor. I’ve had the gyro, the meat was excellent. Tzatziki could’ve been better but I’m very picky about my Greek food. Hot peppers on the cheesesteak hit the spot every time.

Worst stay away wants to charge extra for toppings on subs. Come on. It’s not pizza

Why do I NEED to give this place one star!!! I placed an order online with a 45 – 60 minute wait time. I ordered two chicken filet sandwiches with fries. There were options to add lettuce, tomato, onion, etc. I did not check ANY of these boxes!!! The order arrives 75 minutes later cold and covered in toppings including sauce and cheese that can’t be removed. I called and they said if I didn’t want toppings I should have been more specific. How does not checking off any toppings leave room for confusion? And if they were confused, they had my cell and could have called. The guy on the phone was a jerk and could not have cared less about having an unhappy customer. I will NEVER order from these guys again.

Drivers are good people, food tastes great, but the order is never 100% right. Sometimes the hot wings have no sauce on them, sometimes the cheese fries don’t have enough cheese, sometimes you ask for things and they don’t come along for the ride.
I’m conflicted because I LOVE their food, but I just wish they’d put that little extra effort into making sure they’re taking care of their customers.

Dodged a bullet on this one. Ordered food via Eat24. The company could not get a hold of the restaurant and therefore contacted me asking if I wanted to cancel. I tried calling the restaurant and someone answered. After cutting me off halfway through my explanation I was put on hold for 20 mins. I finally hung up and called Eat24 to cancel. Thank goodness I did as I am now reading the other reviews and I am glad I won’t be getting cold, half assed food tonight!

This place was awful. They delivered our order– and it was soggy– and the wrong order!
I ordered a chicken Philly cheese steak– which was a cheese steak… not chicken– and a poorly cooked steak at that.
The other order we got was a chicken Cesar wrap– which had almost no dressing and was equally gross.
Will not order from here again.

I would prefer to give a negative if possible.
First, the food is good, the drivers are nice and the order comes in a reasonable amount of time.
The problem is the order often comes wrong. When i have complained the owner (he says he’s the owner) will say things like it’s mostly right which is annoying but since we like the food we put up with it. Things like missing peppers or no ketchup is not the end of the world. Annoying though, especially when the reply is like «so what».
Things that are wrong or missing items that i paid for is another story. The wrong salad with the wrong dressing means the order was wrong yet the «owner» sees it different. Paying for french fries and not receiving them is a mistake that should be corrected the next order, etc.
My last order we got blue cheese for the Caesar salad and when we called we were told eat it with that or dont have dressing and eat it plain. We paid for extra dressing and instead of saying sorry he would give us another salad to make up for it on another order he was rude and again said eat it plain.
I paid for fries and didn’t receive them and instead of saying sorry said dont order any more.
While the food may be good, the mistakes and the lack of care for their customers takes away anything good with this restaurant.
Not only does the owner seem to not care about service, it makes me wonder what other areas within the restaurant do they not care about.

I placed an order yesterday and let me tell you… The food was spot on!!! EXCELLENT!!! I usually cook, but there are times when I get home late from work and it’s too late to cook, this is the place to order from. Fresh ingredients, so so good!!!

Great pizza and wings! Always our go to for pizza delivery! Decently quick delivery as well.

On a busy Friday night I called and ordered Gyros for pickup. The food was ready when I arrived and quickly bagged (which I didn’t check:(Arriving home 20 minutes later I unloaded the sandwiches to discover no tzatziki and no feta. Ugh! We opened the fridge and dug out some toppings and made the best of it since my husband had to head back out. I called Basil’s to — I don’t know, perhaps get an apology, an excuse, an adjustment? They wanted to know why I didn’t get back in my car and come back? Really? Rush hour on Friday night? Almost and hour round trip? They put me on hold and came back and told me the chef remembered putting on the toppings, so I overlooked them… Huh? Overlooked white cheese and yogurt sauce? No, I insisted it was not on the sandwiches. Imagine my surprise when they called me a liar. Obviously, we will not be returning…

wow this place is such an amazing pizza joint. Clean and friendly service. Perfect for the whole family and literally choices of food for days! There’s something for everyone and the staff is friendly and welcoming and food is always on point. I will be coming back and I love the changes to the restaurant!

My wife went to Basil’s today to purchase the foods I asked for to celebrate father’s day. Two of the employees were fighting and she left without getting our order. She described an ugly scene with name calling and physical contact.
We will not be going to this establishment again.

was here on a work visit from jersey– ended up coming here twice and bringing the pizza back home! veggie pizza is a MUST try. amazing dough! hidden gem in the area!

Terrible, absolutely terrible. Do not waste your money. You might like the carrot cake but if you are not a retard and understand what good food tastes like please do not allow your tastebuds to be molested by this garbage.
Stranger danger!!!

This is our favorite late night place to get GREAT food! We discovered Basil’s on accident just driving past in the parking lot. It looked like an inviting place so we went in.
We were impressed with the huge variety and selection of meal options and said to each other we are going to have to try them all!
We started that night with the pizza and calzone– both of which were delicious!
We came back many times since then– it’s definitely our go-​to when we want something tasty and fast.
Every time we come it’s super busy with people dining in, carrying out, and the phone is always ringing. That’s a good sign– you know the food and service must be good if that’s the case.
Our other favorite thing about Basil’s is the owner– Shah! He is very warm, professional, and really cares for his customers! We have seen him so much he feels like family! (I do call him Uncle sometimes!!!)
If you are thinking of a great late night place, just want some good pizza, subs (steak and cheese is great!), authentic kabob, or finger foods, THIS is your place!
And don’t forget to say hi to Shah! :)

Great food, I can order online, got to my hotel quick, what’s there to dislike?
Website was super easy to order from, and we got free bread for spending $ 25. The pizza is pretty tasty but my personal favorite item it their Gaithersburger. 20 ounces of flame kissed goodness. My wife had the chicken sub, and it was really good as well. I highly recommend calling these guys up, or just go online.

One of my favorite halal restaurants in town. They have the BEST lamb gyros, BBQ chicken pizza & steak & cheese its not dripping in sauce like other places I’ve been to. My co workers & I always order from Basil’s because they cover deliveries in Gaithersburg & parts of Rockville.
They have a large variety of choices from burgers, pizzas, subs, wings, and pasta.
My food is always yummy.
I can always rely on Basil s to be open during a snow storm/​holiday

Me and ²⁄₃ friends agree, the steak sub is legit (the third friend opted for a calzone).

Best pizza and subs place I have ever been to and it is halal! Their steak and cheese is the bomb, and great customer service. Clean restaurant which is a plus and they also have icecream now yum :)
