CVS

Today the manager greeted us at the door and said WELCOME TO CVS, the staff was helpful while I was shopping in te cosmetics aisle asking if I needed any assistance and the cashier at checkout was incredibly kind! I had a CVS coupon for 25% off a skin care item that just wouldn’t scan. The manager came over right away and made sure it went through on my purchase. This was a 5-​star shopping experience!

I’ve been to this location a handful of times and have always been satisfied with my experience. (I’ve never used their pharmacy!) The store is clean and organized. They almost always have whatever I’ve been looking for in stock. The red coupon machine is a newer model, which lets you enter your phone number if you forget your ExtraCare card. Price checking items can be tricky so definitely be patient with it. I have a bad habit of forgetting to use my ExtraCare Bucks, and I’ve never had a problem using mine the day after it expires. I’m not sure if they’ll take them over a day late though.
My only gripe is how busy this location gets. Sometimes, the lot is tolerable and other times, it’s horrendous. On occasion, I park just behind it and walk down the little hill because I can’t deal with potentially being blocked in by the excess drive-​thru pharmacy customers. The lines inside can get pretty long at times, but they try to turn them over ASAP by calling for extra help whenever things start to look crazy.

When your day is sucking serious ass because you’ve just been diagnosed with Strep and you can’t stop coughing and you’re gasping for breath… come to this CVS pharmacy so that your day can be made into utter and perfect hell and you will actually pray to die from asphyxiation just so you don’t have to deal with the pharmacists here ever again.
Like I said, I’ve been diagnosed with Strep and I’m coughing so much that I’m gagging. The doc prescribed antibiotics and a cough suppressant and because I was so ill, I didn’t think to have the prescription called into the Village Pharmacy, I had them call it to CVS instead.
So, I come in, and I stand in line, but I’m coughing so much and so hard, that the others in line wave me in front of them because they took such pity on me. I finally get to the pharmacy counter, and he asks for my name. In-​between my gasps for air and my incessant cough, I proceed to spell it for him. THREE TIMES. Finally I hand him my ID (which I wished he just asked for in the beginning so that I could save my breath), and he realized that the system had my name slightly wrong. So rather than just fix it and get me my meds, he then asks me which version of my name do I want in the system and blah blah blah. SERIOUSLY DUDE? GET ME MY MEDS.
After I cough out «please get me my meds», he goes and gets them. And he proceeds to scan me in… when I notice that the charges that is being run up was WAY high. That’s when I realize that he doesn’t have my insurance info. So *I* had to ask *him* did he need my insurance info… to which he looked surprised and was like «oh…sure?». In an attempt to avoid the spelling my name three times while barely having breath fiasco, I pull out my insurance card, which he then tells me that he can’t enter my insurance info and that one of the pharmacists would need to… and looks at me expectantly. Um, OK? What exactly am I supposed to do now? I croak my question to him, and he looks confused for a moment before telling me that he needs to hand this all over to the pharmacist. Um, OK… please go do it?
He doesn’t give me more info — and when I ask where/​what I should do next, he tells me to go down the counter to where the pharmacist is. So I get there, and she tells me that I don’t need to do anything and he shouldn’t have sent me over, that she’ll be done in a moment and that I looked and sounded terrible and why don’t I sit down (thank you!!!).
When she’s done, the original guy calls me up to the register again, and AGAIN proceeds to ask me how to spell my name, etc… even though all that info is ON MY PRESCRIPTION BAG THAT IS IN FRONT OF HIM.
OH MY GOD.
He finally rings me up… but doesn’t ring up the water and the cough drops that I grabbed and PUT IN FRONT OF HIM (in an effort to ease the coughing while I was there).
When having strep is PREFERABLE to dealing with the pharmacy counter at CVS, you know it truly is hell.

This is the closest cvs to my home and it’s very easy to get to. The parking lot is a little small, and usually crowed. However, there is a variety of make up, food, cards, medicine and many other items.

This pharmacy doesn’t deserve to stay in business even for a day. The pharmacy dept don’t pickup calls, prescription is never ready even after calling two hours early, the drive through pickup takes forever etc etc. I can go on and on with finding faults here. customers never look happy because they suffer with long waiting periods and unresponsive staff behind the counter.
Don’t waste your time sending prescription at this location. they don’t respect customer time or urgency of any kind. they deliver prescription when they feel it’s right. I am really frustrated with these incompetent people.

This review is for the pharmacy. The store itself is fine but the pharmacy is awful. It is always chaotic no matter how many people are working behind the counter.
Specific instance: I moved recently and needed to transfer my prescription from Rite Aid to this CVS. I filled out a transfer form yesterday and received a call this morning that my prescription was ready. After work, I drove to the CVS and waited…
…and waited…
…and waited…
First I waited in the car line. There were three cars ahead of me and after we didn’t move for 10 minutes I decided to try my luck inside. The pick-​up line inside was about 10 people long and they had one register open. Finally they opened a second register and I made it to the front, only for the person to tell me that they had no record of my prescription and she didn’t even know what form I was referring to. I was sent to the Drop-​off line where I waited behind a few more people until I reached someone who confirmed that all I had in the system was a different prescription that I had asked them to cancel multiple times because the cost was $ 140. However, she was familiar with the transfer form and asked me to complete another one. All in all I spent about an hour at this place to fill out the same form that I did yesterday and still leave empty-​handed.
I don’t know what needs to be done about this place. They have several people back there and yet the pharmacy is always overwhelmed. The situation I experienced today was on par with what you could expect at the MVA. The worst part is that I have searched for other pharmacies in the area and they all have horrible reviews as well, so I guess I am stuck. Hopefully the form I filled out today won’t mysteriously disappear like the one I filled out yesterday.
