It’s rare for a store to really know what athletic shoe lends itself to what activity. Being new to crossfit, I had an idea of what I was looking for but the comparison of available styles and fit made me feel like I was getting true value for my money, not just a shot in the dark based on an online review.

Great, knowledgeable staff! Found fabulous shoes that I probably would not have picked out on my own without their expertise.

I like the extra attention given to make sure the customer is leaning towards or at the least, will be maintaining optimum health. I once had a problem with plantar faphaceitis, and the customer service rep taped my foot before fitting me into the shoe that would better improve my overall health. It’s been a few months now, and I’m practically pain free! I keep coming back to renew my sneakers at Feet Fleet, Gaithersburg, because I want to stay that way. I have recommended this store to my friends and colleagues who may be experiencing foot issues.

this is a great store that specializes in running shoes, clothing, gear, and nutrition. they also feature a weekly run club that is free to join. runners and walkers of all abilities, ages, and sizes meet at the store, every thurs @ 1830 and sat @ 0930.
i joined their weekly thurs group once and unfortunately, was very late since i got lost finding the store, but upon arrival, was greeted by a friendly staff member and given directions for that evening’s route. i cut the run short so that i could arrive back at the store in time to meet fellow runners and was able to meet some of the regular locals who run with this group.
on another occasion, i came here to shop with a girlfriend of mine and we were given top notch assistance from the staff member. we learned a lot about their gear and accessories while browsing and my friend ended up making several purchases that day.
great running store for runners of all levels and abilities. i’ll be sure to return again the next time i’m in town!

This is my go-​to store. I never feel rushed or pressured to buy when I’m here. It’s refreshing to be listened to when I say I’m *just* here for shoes, and not be given an additional product plug or followed around the store to make additional purchases.

I love going to Fleet Fleet. The sneakers fit great and someone finds me the right shoes for my feet and fits the insert correctly. They also always have my size.

Since I was early to my dinner reservation at Not Your Average Joe’s, I decided to stop in Fleet Feet Sports to get longer shoe laces for my Mizuno’s, more running socks, and snacks for an upcoming race. For longer shoe laces, they have colorful lock laces and boring colored (white, black, tan) long shoe laces. They have the largest selection of running socks — Balega, DryMax, Features, Nike, SmartWool, and SwiftMax. My favorite running socks are Balega’s Hidden Comfort and Blister Resist. For snacks, I bought a variety to try — Honey Stinger Pomegranate Passion and Cherry Cola Energy Chews, Honey Stinger honey and lemon waffles, and Jelly Belly’s Fruit Punch Sport Beans. It’s time to see what works the best for me.

My favorite thing about Fleet Feet is that the staff are all runners who are clearly educated on the science of standing, walking, and running in order to recommend shoes, inserts, and other products. I’ll never buy shoes without the help of Fleet Feet again!

Employees know the inventory and what is likely to work for your individual requirements. They are patient and will keep at it until you have the best possible fit.
The community run (I went to my first tonight) was welcoming and accommodated range of abilities and speeds. The experience motivated me to go on more group runs with the store.
The store has a point system that saves repeat customers money. When you spend you earn points that you can use toward your next purchase.

Warm and welcoming staff! Owners schedule multiple events free and some for a fee to keep the community involved. Store hosts weekly runs and offers a great meeting point with a changing room, bathroom, place to store your keys and rewards for participating.
Small store with a great shoe collection. Some of the other accessories are less varied.
Reward dollars for purchases are convenient and easy to use. They are really helpful for frequent buyers and free to enroll in.

You can’t get better than Fleet Feet in the Kentlands so your running shoe needs. The great thing about a store like this is that if you shoes are not working for you they will let you return them and try something else. Other running stores I’ve done gone to will not let you do this.

I’m not really into the whole running scene, so it surprised me that this store has such a great community feel to it. I walked in on a day when they were getting ready for their weekly fun run so the place was packed. It took a while for someone to become available to fit me with a shoe, but I just walked in at a busier time.
I needed a pair of good shoes that I could take on a 3-​day hiking tour. I have plantar fasciitis so it was important to me that the person who helped me really understood the kind of shoe that could work best for me. The guy was super knowledgeable! He eventually fitted me in a pair of Asics, and also used a tool to massage my calf. After that short massage, my foot immediately hurt less!
I was a little reluctant about the prices of everything (I never spend more than $ 100 on a pair of shoes in general), but I figured that these people would know what’s best for me and my feet, and that I couldn’t place a value on good shoes, especially with my injuries.
This store has great products, wonderful service, and an overwhelming welcoming community feel.

I moved to the Mid Atlantic from Denver six years ago.
The quality of life in Denver evolves around outdoor activity. Running, cycling, skiing, climbing, if you can do it out of doors, Colorado is the place to do it so I was a little apprehensive about finding resources that accommodated running.
I’d read good reviews in «Runner’s World» about Fleet Feet and since I worked close by, decided I’d give them a try.
I’ve been a loyal customer since my first visit.
The staff is always helpful, always knowledgable and always willing to help.
I’ll be a customer till the day I find my way back to the Rocky Mountains.

How can a simple shoe retailer excel in customer service? I introduce Fleet Feet, a running shoe store that is more than a mere store. You, a plain and unsuspecting customer, will walk into this store and leave entranced over the outstanding service, mind racing with your newfound knowledge about your own body’s mechanics, and, undoubtedly, carrying a bag with a pair or two of brand-​spanking new and colorful shoes.
Okay, I confess that I was that plain and unsuspecting customer. But I’m sure others can identify with my experience.
All these years, I’ve wasted my time and my opportunities for education and growth by shopping at sporting good giants whose employees can barely explain the difference between a stability shoe from a neutral shoe, and how one’s degree of pronation can help identify the most suitable one. At Fleet Feet, I was greeted warmly by an employee right away (no waiting 15 minutes or hunting down someone working in a completely different section). I told him what I was looking for and asked him some basic questions about the type of shoe that would best suit me. He answered my questions rapid-​fire (almost) and seemed to know the running shoes inside and out, including the nuances of different shoe models of the same brand. He recommended a few shoes for me to try, and encouraged me to go for a short job up and down the sidewalk right outside the store. After experimenting with a few pairs, I thanked him and walked out with a pair of brand-​spanking new and colorful shoes.
When I am back in the area, I will definitely stop by again. This store has become my go-​to store for all that has to do with running.
By the way, the store also offers fitness classes for those whose experiences with running range from «How do I run?» to «I’ve been running 30 – 50 miles a week with no problem.» I haven’t joined any, but it looks like a very good way to introduce yourself to running and/​or keep up your level of fitness in the company of other runners.
