Been awhile since I’ve had lunch here. i ordered my usual takeout dish, Sechuan Chicken. What I noticed is that the portions are about 30 percent less for the main dish and 50 percent less rice Somewhat surprised Quality is still good, portion size a disappointment

Something has changed here, recently. This place has always been very decent food/price. However, it almost appears that the place is under new management except that it still appears to be the same folks running the joint. Here’s the deal, they have increased their menu prices — NOTICEABLY and at the same time decreased portion size by ½ what it used to be. Small portion for big bucks. The food here has always been pretty good but not tonight. I ordered chicken w/garlic sauce. I thought it was me so I had each or the 3 others in my party try it — Not one ounce of garlic anything in it. It was sweet — not quite sweet & sour chicken but some sort of sweet sauce. It was«ok» but I was in the mood for garlic sauce. It had more water chestnuts then chicken and the chicken was mere slivers and tiny bits of chicken and not much of it at all. Honestly it was about 75−80% water chestnuts the rest chicken. I ate the entire dish and was still hungry which had never been the case here before. If the dinner portions have been reduced to this I cant imagine what the lunch portions look like now. I found the other dishes we ordered to be somewhat bland not flavorful as in the past. And there was something weird with the 2 beef dishes, both were very dark — Much more so then usual. Tasted ok but looked weird. Looked like it had been soaked in soy sauce over night — real dark. The waitress was as friendly as could be which hasn’t changed(for this particular waitress) . Because it is so expensive now and considering the small portions I’d probably go elsewhere — nothing attracting me back here now…

The food here is not as good as other Chinese restaurants in the area. I ordered out Kung Pao chicken and fried rice: the Kung Pao chicken had a ton of broccoli stems in it as filler instead of actual vegetables. Who does that!!! It makes Panda Express look gourmet. And the fried rice was dry, maybe overcooked, and flavorless. Would not eat there again.

This is off delivery thru Eat24. Free delivery with $ 15 minimum. Delivery was fast and food was the correct temperature. I got sesame chicken lunch special a white tuna roll, and an eel cucumber roll. All of the food was delucious. The chicken wasn’t too dry or chewy and the fried rice which typically us dry and flavorless had a great flavor. The rolls were both well prepared and reasonably priced at $ 5 each. The lunch special was $ 6. Enough food for 2 people or 2 meals for $ 20 and good quality is hard to do but this place does it.

Really a 3.5. I think their egg rolls are outstanding and the general tso’s better than most chinese restaurants. The fried rice is not the best I have had. My main issue is the temperature it was served. Everything tasted like it had been sitting out at room temp for a while. but overall, if I lived closer I would probably eat here at least once a month.

Don’t come here looking for or expecting spectacular Chinese. Make sure you keep in mind the people here will most likely be rude. Keep expectations low and you’ll be ok. We ordered: — Chicken & Corn Soup — Was still super hot when eaten 10 min later — Crispy Beef Schezuan Style — Crispy and mildly spicy, as it’s supposed to taste. It was a bit soft/soggy from the moisture of closed-lid containers from carry-out. Being that everything was carry-out, I was impressed by the quality(that the food was still decent when it arrived back at our friends). $ 20 for 2 items. You Are in Kentlands. If you just can’t be bothered to travel outside of Kentlands for Chinese, this is a place to visit to get a Chinese fix.

Not good. Don’t do it! After reading reviews I was optimistic and decided to try this place since its in our neighborhood. Ordered the orange chicken and crispy beef which was highly recommended by the person who took my order. Both dishes were greasy. The combination fried rice was decent which is why I gave this place 2 stars. After eating our meal, both my son and I had sore stomachs. If you’re looking for good Chinese food, skip this place and look elsewhere.

Very good and fresh. The small dumplings are a treat. We got tofu with veggies, eggplant with pork and green beans. The eggplant was cooked very well and cut perfect bite size.

Pretty solid delivery Chinese. Their lo mein could have a little bit more taste, but all of their vegetarian items have been good(love the General Tso’s Vegetarian Chicken) and the sushi is surprisingly solid(I’ve gotten a couple things, but usually just stand-bys like the Spicy Tuna Roll), especially given that I have paid way more at other places and gotten sushi that is nowhere near as good! They also do free delivery with a minimum of $ 15. Definitely going to become my go-to place.

Not impressed with this place at all. I can’t seem to find a good Chinese place around the Gaithersburg area. Delivery was quick but food lacked in quality in my opinion. Please someone tell me about a good Chinese takeout place around here.

minus one: asked regarding tempura; there was an appetizer so I wanted that; never got it; waitress had a hard time communicating in general. Got hot and sour soup that was good except the dining experience was sabotaged by a noisy family; I asked for sweet /sour pork so when it came as to take it to go; asked re: spring rolls coupon; of course I didn’t spend enough to have them; she said, «next time» THEREWILLNOTBE A NEXTTIME” the pork was awful hard and bris sly inside. there wasn’t even a fortune inside the fortune cookie.

Bubble tea was okay, but nothing to write home about. Good stop for a quick bite or if you don’t know what to eat.

Another great work lunch from Good Fortune. Best part of Good Fortune is that they always deliver unlike some of its competitors who don’t deliver till 5pm on Sat & most days. Thanks for taking care of us at work Good Fortune!!!

*** This review is for the egg drop soup! *** You know how every once in a while, on a cold day, a bowl of egg drop soup sounds ammmaazing? And then you go to the local Chinese restaurant for said soup — you get home, so happy and excited… But then end up being disappointed that you wasted those calories for nothing? Well not here — behold the world’s BEST egg drop soup! So delicious and the crispy things were large and plentiful. Savory, delicious broth and totally satisfying! The yearly crave that I have for this dish may now be more frequent, thank you Good Fortune Café! And the front desk ladies are always a pleasure! Bonus tip; get the coconut bubble tea — also amazing and a rare find in these parts :)

I dined here the other night with my sister and cannot believe I have never been here(considering I have lived in this area my entire life)! The shrimp tempura sushi, egg drop soup, egg rolls and kung pao chicken were excellent! We used to go to Taipei Tokyo in Fallsgrove or Tony Lin’s in Rockville, however this is definitely our«new» spot! The prices were really reasonable as well. We will be back soon!

Nothing special. Typical Chinese food. Has beef with broccoli. They do give you slices of oranges and fortune cookies when you pay your bill though.

Decent and inexpensive sushi, delivers for free. I’ve never been here in person — I’ve only ever gotten delivery. This joint is good if you are craving sushi, want it fairly fast, and don’t want to leave the house. I like their inari pouches and their avocado cream cheese rolls(not on the menu — you have to ask for them special order). The tamago sushi is okay, so is the fried rice. The spring rolls are also pretty standard fare. I would NOT recommend their noodle dishes however, they never seem to cook them properly, and they have a weird aftertaste. Ditto on the tofu dishes. Overall I would recommend checking them out if you live in the area. This place has standard fare — don’t expect the most amazing food ever, but it’s cheap.

Nice fresh well prepared Chinese food. Schezwan peppercorns had great strong flavor! Restaurant is nicely decorated. Lunch menu is really inexpensive!
