Sheesh! Don’t bother, sad excuse for a wine/​beer place in comparison to DCWB in Rockville. The guy behind the counter treated me like crap from the moment I walked in, giving me the stink-​eye like i was a Jihadi or something. Made me feel like crap. What was more crappy was the selection and prices and vibe. What else can I say, nothing was working for me about this place. Sorry. Great location, parking and access to other stores in Kentlands area. Maybe under new management it will bring people in.

my go-​to place for beer shopping. i love trying new craft beers and this place always has a great selection of new brews to try. the main draw for me, however, is the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. there is a beer i love (allagash black — a great bottle conditioned belgian style stout) that they didn’t carry but james asked me to write down the name of it along with my phone number. within a week i received a call that a case of it had arrived and that i had first dibs to it plus they would start stocking it as a regular item. if you’re looking for a warm atmosphere to peruse your next choice of imbibement with the availability of an attentive staff to answer any of your questions and meet your needs, look no further!

It’s a liquor store. It’s fine. Nothing crazy, but the beer selection was quite decent. The prices were shockingly average and nothing jumped out as good or bad. But they have me a box to carry my alcohol in, so that was nice.

Fantastic beer/​wine store! I’m always looking for «different» beers, and this place delivers. I travel a lot for a living and come across all kinds of cool local beers. Unfortunately most Maryland stores don’t carry those brands. This one was a hit though. Purple Haze and Big Wave? Cool. Very friendly staff, organized and clean store with ample parking next to the Safeway. Prices are on par with other beer/​wine stores in the area.

This place has a good selection of some not-​so-​common brews. They also have a build your own sixpack rack that’s relatively well priced. There’s a bunch of wine, but I haven’t checked any of it out.
The staff seems nice too, dude had a penguin shirt on, shot the crap with him about it, they also recommended some beers for next time. Will be back.

One of the best Bottle shops in Montgomery County. Excellent, knowledgeable. It’s like you are talking to old friends when it comes to recommendations. They were the first to get my First Snow this year. Prices are as expected in a alcohol controlled county.

Oh how I miss you! This place was my heaven for wine and beer. The staff was beyond excellent when asking them to help pick out amazing wines at a reasonable price… they were never wrong. I really recommend asking them for help if you are new to wine.
The always carry those hard to find favorites and their beer is always cold! The only downside is the place is a little small so their limited to a lot of variety and sometimes can run out of stock.
Though I know, whenever I’m in this area, I’ll be making a quick stop here!

Hard to find in MD, so I was very happy to come across Grape Expectations. They also carry a lot of other awesome imported beverages.

This is my go-​to place for wine and beer, that may have something to do with the fact that it is around the corner from my house so it is über-​convenient for me. BUT wait there are merits for my 4-​stars, the staff is really friendly, the beer is really cold and EVERY Saturday they have a free wine tasting from 1 – 4 and the wine that is featured is 10% off during the tasting. I go virtually every Saturday, and am never disappointed!

Grape Expectations carries a large selection of beers, including some of the more popular microbrews and imports. As the name implies, they also have a lot of wine, but that is not my forte. The store is well kept and the staff have always been friendly. The prices are inline with my expectations. This is the best spot for picking up beer that I’ve found in the Flower Hill/​Montgomery Village area.
