Brian Purba went above and beyond his duty by personally emptying trash, bringing towels, bed covers and sheets and putting them on the beds although this is not his job.
The hotel staff had failed to service the room earlier today as was requested as there were food stains on my bed. There was no housekeeping staff on duty when I arrived at my hotel room at 1:20am…foods stains still on the sheets.

First stay at a Hampton and this one made a great impression. Very clean, comfortable bed, nice room for a reasonable price. Free shuttle to Shady Grove Metro, too!

I must admit this is one of the best places I have stayed in Rockville; this is my third trip here and I have stayed in a hilton, doubletree and now Hampton; very very clean rooms! Service with front desk is top quality; manager is very nice and easy to speak to when I was looking for a new by Starbucks; general service throughout the property is very nice; they do have a gym here! I will be making this my hotel when coming all the way from Orange County for work; the iron is also clean and easy to use, very important for me as I have a lot of suits to wear! Thanks Hampton!

Awesome hotel! Super clean and modern. I would definitely stay here again. Make sure to go to the breakfast early so you get there before the crowds! The food at breakfast was good, not amazing.

The place is comfortable but maybe because it’s still new. There are lots of TV channels so you’ll have fun channel surfing. The breakfast is your typical Hampton Inn. The location is good for a travel stop but it’s not good if you’re looking for a place where you can walk to places. The customer service is ok, but what I’ve noticed in some of the staff are greetings with no eye contact. Overall, for a place to sleep, shower, and go on with your day, this place is good.

Booked online through the Hilton website. Great rate at $ 109 and the hotel delivered on all fronts. A fairly new Hampton, this Hilton budget property did not disappoint. Just far enough outside the belt line to be affordable yet very accessible to DC and Baltimore by car or train. Highly recommended.

Brand new (a year old) and very clean! Fridge & microwave in every room. Breakfast in the morning and a pool with a lifeguard. It was def worth the $ 130 a night!

This hotel is very impressive for a Hampton Inn. The only disappointment is within the rates. They were very reasonable after they opened, but recently I’ve noticed quite an increase. It is beautiful and has a salt water pool, but I tend to look for more of a suite (kitchenette) for the recent rates.

I think the previous four star review was seriously skimping his hotel. Typically when you ask for something, you can get it.
I have only one thing to say about this hotel that was strange. The elevator was slow and the two were not tied into the same circuit (one was frequented as the housekeeping and maintenance elevator so it could be overrode being on the single circuit). Other than that, this hotel was phenomenal. By far the best Hampton Inn I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. Eric, one of the front desk personnel was flat out amazing. Very welcoming and very helpful when he needed to be. Asked for enough supplies at the time if check in and he delivered it to the room for us before I had a chance to go to the desk and get it. Throughout our stay (7 days), he was beyond helpful and accommodating. That doesn’t take away from the rest of the staff, every one was great, and welcomed us and the kids as if we were old friends.
I can’t really describe the rooms. They were excellent. Even our carpets were freshly shampooed prior to our arrival. The rest of the room was very clean and not a spec if dust to be found. Hard to believe, but I’m really not exaggerating. I saw the room service supervisor every day checking on rooms and quality. No doubt she runs a great crew.
The hotel is slightly off the beaten path to major destinations but 35 minutes from the national mall, 20 minutes to Bethesda, and honestly very little traffic headaches. Good food selections near by and shopping right around the corner.
All in all, after having eye surgery I needed a quiet, relaxing place to come back to. This hotel was be of the best and most comfortable I’ve ever been to and was much better than anything that I had anticipated.
Let’s not forget the price… $ 100 – 150 cheaper on average per night than the hotels only 10 miles south. It’s worth the extra drive for the price!

Stayed here for a week and was pretty happy with it. The staff is very friendly. This is a new hotel and therefore the rooms were quite bright and clean, not worn at all.
Breakfast is included and should be able to satisfy all diets. Fresh fruits, yogurt, waffle machine, hard boiled eggs every morning, a combination of egg and meat each morning in the warming pans. Since I had to be on the road by 6:15 am, I appreciated that they weren’t fussy about my taking hard boiled eggs and yogurt to go.
The rooms are pretty attractive and equipped with an HD tv with HBO channels. There is free wi-​fi in the rooms which I didn’t use because I carry a hotspot when traveling on business. The signal showed up as 4 bars on my laptop so it seemed strong enough.
The hallways are pretty quiet and walls are solid enough to block out kids running down the hall.
Coffee was so-​so.
There is a really nice heated pool. Towels can be worn back to your room.
An adequate fitness center (tip: the annoying muzak can be turned off using the wall switch). Nice touch that disposable ear buds are available.
I did not need the transportation provided by the hotel, so I can’t speak to it. I would imagine that it would drop off at the nearest red line Metro stop on Shady Grove road.
Visitors may not be aware that the Marc train has 3 nearby stops and takes one to Union Station in downtown DC.
Tiny cons: the stuff used to clean the bathroom floor is sticky for at least 24 hours. There was no bath soap the first couple of days — just face soap. It’s not obvious how to raise the shade on the window (An electric switch is located on the wall close to the door, but not close to the window) so a sign would be useful.
