History

Established in 2011.

My approach to teaching kids art not only comes from my education and work experience through the years but also through my childhood experiences which are so ingrained and part of me.

I was born and grew up in the South Afican «bushveld» next to one of the largest safari parks in the world. I was always barefoot exploring and creating endless mud-​pies. My passion and belief that art is all about experimentation and a lot of self discovery probably stems from or is influenced by the very hot days exploring the rugged beauty of the African countryside. Creating with all the natural materials surrounding me.

The knowledge in child development (Bachelor of Science in neuro-​biology and physiology with focus on developmental and child psychology from University of Maryland), my experience with aiding and teaching discovery learning at the Lab School of Washington, my education and passion in art and for the arts as a full time artist (Bachelor in Fine Arts from the Corcoran School of Ar
