Jeff was very punctual. Looked at the issue and explained what it is and how much it is going to cost. No shocks or surprises for the cost of work being done. Excellent service. I am a satisfied customer.

Mallick is great! We were real concerned with several areas of our new home. Mallick provided great options that directly addressed the areas. Very happy with their availability, service, and prices are quite reasonable.

First off– they are the ONLY plumbing company that has ever come the next day (after calling them). We have had many issues over the years and have tried many different plumbers. This company comes when they say that they do — and on time!
re January 2016 work =Frank R. was very helpful. He fixed our two toilets and sinks. During the repairs, he noticed that our hot water heater was dying and causing other problems. He installed our new hot water heater the next week. Everything was efficient, perfect and without any issues. We have not had any problems with our plumbing since. He is a great asset to the company.

Jim F. checked my old heater that was leaking, measured heater and called a distributor to find a replacement as I had a lowboy heater which are not readily available. He found one after 2 calls. Then called his office to get estimate and see when they could do it as he needed someone else to help get it out as it was up 2 sets of steps. Said they could do next day. When he gave me the estimate I said yes and it was scheduled for the next morning. He called back the distributor and made plans to picks up early next morning. The removal of the old tank took some time to drain but after they did that they got it out and installed the new one with no issues. Put down rubberized sheets to protect the carpet on steps and on the first level as well as around the area they were working. Everything was back to new when they left. Very happy with their service. The woman who answers phones was wonderful too. She checked to see if they could find a model to replace the leaking one as it was no longer being manufactured. She called me back after finding some options and scheduled technician to come out that very afternoon to give me an estimate. Very impressed with the promptness of this company. Will definitely use them for future plumbing problems.

I’ve used Mallick Plumbing twice in the last two weeks and both were a great experience. They were on time, professional, knowledgeable, and respectful. Frank R. came to replace a pump tank, along with its surrounding pipes and fittings. The work was done efficiently and neatly. He’s a very nice guy. His expertise and enthusiasm is refreshing. Jeff F came to replace a jetted tub in a master bath and did an excellent job as well, being very careful to ensure that the installation was done correctly, in accordance with Bain Ultra’s guidelines. I appreciated his conscientious work ethic. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mallick Plumbing and I plan on continuing to use them as my «go to» plumber in the future.

I had a great service experience with Billy C from Mallick. He was focused on getting things done right. The materials costs seemed fair. For 4.75 hours of labor I was charged $ 820. This is my first time using a plumber as a homeowner, so I do not have enough data points to say if it is high or low for DC area. But the average rate, if you do the math is $ 172 per hour.
So in summary, great quality of work and professionalism, but as for pricing, you be the judge.

Their great reviews are well founded. Dale and Tyler came in and did a great and professional job. Afterwards I asked them if they could snake the laundry room sink and instead of doing the job and taking the money, dale offered me a better, cheaper alternative that made sense after he explained it.
From the initial phone call, all the way till when they left, These people care about doing the job right. I would recommend to all, hands down.

I had waited for my insurance company to send a plumber for over 24 hours to no avail.
I called these guys at 8p. I asked Jeff, who answered the phone, for an estimate which he told me $ 350 and what I thought was $ 60 per extra hour (but actually turned out to be $ 60 per extra quarter hour). I was told the plumber would show up within the next two hour window. Bobby showed up at 9p. I was quite happy it only took one hour for him to show up. He did a great job. He protected my floors and worked efficiently.
However after 1 hour of work to fix a main drain blockage, I was billed $ 540. With a mysterious $ 120 rental fee for the snake machine that Jeff forgot to mention when I asked for an estimate before dispatching the plumber.
So. Yes I was happy with the work done, and response time. But a simple snake for a drain all done within an hour and then billed $ 540? Ouch. Another thing is that they won’t work with your insurance company, that’s all on you.
I might use them again if I had to, but I would probably ask for a written estimate next time since I payed twice the amount I expected from our phone conversation.

I have used Mallick twice. The first time my water main shut-​off valve had developed a leak and had to be fixed quickly. I found Mallick online and gave them a call. It was Sunday night, so I was transferred to their after-​hours support. The support person tried to walk me through the process of fixing the leak instead of having to pay for an onsite visit, which was very kind of him. Eventually I scheduled an appointment for next morning. The scheduling process was efficient and everything went smoothly. The onsite visit was uneventful and the leak was fixed quickly.
My second encounter with Mallick was when I hired them to replace some older plumbing fixtures which were at the end of their life cycle (valves, hoses, etc). The scheduling process was smooth, the plumber was on time and capable, and everything worked out as expected.
Overall I would recommend Mallick: good customer service, timely arrival, good working knowledge of their field, good attention to detail.

Mallick and Frank was great! They came highly recommended and didn’t disappoint!

First, the front office support is great. They set my expectations by giving an accurate dispatch/​arrival time and when Mike S came out to sort out a number of issues, he was done in about 2 hours. That is fast and efficient for the 3 issues I had. Mike (and anyone from Mallick — I always use them) is friendly, easy to work with and knows his stuff!

I have used Mallick for several «emergenices» over the past 5 – 6 years, and they have been fantastic every time! They are responsive, prompt, and helpful. They always explain the problem and work with me to find the best solution, and the cost is reasonable.

Mallick is the only plumber I will call or recommend. I’ve been a customer for years and every technician they have sent has been great! The office team is terrific as well and the products they have recommended have always been exactly right. Today Dale L. installed a new kitchen faucet that Sam recommended for me. Dale L. was polite and professional, worked quickly, did a great job and cleaned up before he left. I’ve had the same experience with other technicians over the years. They even helped me solve a hot water problem by adding a diverter so that I could get enough hot water with the small hot water heater that fits under my kitchen counter. In addition to basic repairs and today’s job they have installed two new toilets, a hot water heater, and replaced my tub and associated plumbing.

I had a sewer backup flood my basement — Mallick got someone out to me first thing in the morning, and Michael was awesome. They are a little pricey but you do get what you pay for. $ 500 to snake out my line and remove the tree roots that had blocked it. He also tidied up the shower where the backup occurred before he left — rinsing away sewage remnants. He then provided me with a free assessment of the plumbing for the house for me to submit to my insurance (I’ve had 3 floods this year alone — though the other 2 came from appliances).
Mallick and Michael were responsive, courteous, answered all my questions… service could not have been any better. While I hope to not need to deal with plumbers again for a while, it is good to know who you can call when a problem arises. They also held my check for a few days until I got paid again — I appreciate the flexibility!

Michael S at Mallick plumbing did an excellent job replacing my hot water heater. He showed up at the agreed upon time and worked diligently until the job was completed. He also explained to me how the tank will work to supply more hot water. Mallick has excellent customer serve and Shannon emailed me asap and answered all my questions. The prices are very competitive. The customer service is very professional and first — class.

Dale was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions clearly, and pointed out things that even my home inspector missed. I’m very thankful for the help.

in a nutshell:
1. After reading a few different Unilocal reviews, I called Mallick at 10:00am as I decided I didn’t have time to finish a project at my sister’s house as I was visiting from out of town (replace sink/​new pipe configuration).
2. I received incredibly courteous and approachable service, noting they could have someone here today between 12−3pm and their hourly rate.
3. FRANK showed up at 1:45pm and I instantly knew I made the right call.
Firstly — he noted that he had to redo my piping as the drainage wasn’t appropriate any longer with the deeper sink. he also noted he was fast, which was an understatement.
Secondly — FRANK created a personal connection with me right off the bat, which in my opinion, is the best way to create trust and relationships.
Thirdly — I don’t have enough room here to note what above and beyond service I received. Frank was quick, clean, professional, and to say I was pleased is an understatement.
Mallick has a great employee in Frank, along with the customer service rep I scheduled with this morning. Sometimes you just have a great win and calling Mallick was just that.
