Okay, so it wasn’t what we were looking for. We were looking for a place with ambience & waiters & full service… What we got was a take-out type of place with tables, plastic utensils, a fridge to pick up drinks… But here’s the good part: the place was packed with people devouring their food, we got fresh, hot, house-baked bread, & delicious mast & torshi. The kitchen was very busy, the food is fresh. We ordered Koobideh, Chicken barg & Joojeh kabob. Koobideh was okay, Chicken barg was good, Joojeh got a thumbs up. I think this place is great for take-out.

Love this place! Big portions and lots of selection. The wait staff at the registers are a little quiet and hard to hear, but polite. They serve Pepsi instead if Coke, which I prefer. I wish there were more locations…

I love you Moby Dick. Where else can you get a big salad with nice big juicy, hot chunks of meat at this price? Why can’t there be more of these restaurants around? Although I try to avoid eating too many carbs, that rice. UNNNG. SOGOOD. And that free bread. Sooo gooood and yogurt dip. Even the dressing is marvelous– a light vinegar and olive oil mix that is just perfectly zesty, cold, and seasoned. In my photo I obviously indulged in a less than healthy item on their menu, but you can’t blame me, it as really good.

Friendly service and very helpful. Yesterday I stopped by for some lunch before a movie and it was such a pleasure meeting the staff. It was my first time at Moby Dicks and I wasn’t sure what to order. The staff was super friendly and they recommended several dishes. Any who, I ordered the chicken and beef with half rice, half salad. When the the order came out, I was surprised of how much they were able to fit on the plate. You def get what you pay for, that’s for sure! Sigh, don’t even get me started on their Jalapeño salsa… Oh my goodness. I had to take some home! It was that delicious! I will be retuning and I will be ordering a lot more!

The pita bread is fresh and airy. The hummus is tasty! I love the joojeh(chicken) platter and kubideh(beef) platter. They give a very generous portion of rice. Don’t forget to order the green sauce for the chicken!

This place has great food, but the customer service is so bad that it ruins the whole restaurant. They constantly make you wait, despite ordering well in advance. The workers have no respect to costumers and are unbelievably lazy. Would not recommend eating at this establishment.

Moby Dick’s is our«go to» take-out dinner when we want a treat. We’ve never had an issue ordering by phone, and the food is ready after the estimated time(usually 10 – 15 minutes). We typically avoid ordering and picking up during the busiest times and have noticed that our orders are much better constructed as a result. Highly recommend.

This is a chain. This particular location in Gaithersburg is not the best. Our order got screwed up, we waited over 20 minutes because our order never made it from the register to the kitchen! Don’t know who screwed up. When we asked about status after 15 minutes this is fast food kabobs, not a restaurant) we got a nasty look from the staff. Another five minutes we asked again. «It’s coming,» we were told. Clearly this is a bungled order. No one knows what happened. No apology, no explanation, no nothing after 30 minutes. This is a Charlie Foxtrot! Never coming to this one again!

Best Kabobs! There kubideh is my favorite! Ask for juicy and it won’t be well done. There rice is amazing. Ask for daily specials.

I’ve been going to Moby Dicks since this place first opened in Bethesda and you know what. The quality in service has just gone down a tad but the food is still solid. Fan of the Super Combo with rice but I remember when the chop salad was free.

Hey, how about you stop sneaking in the bag surcharge at the end of the order and at least ask if we want a bag. Bad enough Montgomery County has this bullshit tax, doesn’t mean you have to capitalize off of it by doing so automatically.

I love this Moby Dick, down the st from my job. When the manager is there everything runs smooth. His very friend and fast. The food is amazing. I’m Hispanic but would rather eat there than any Hispanic restaurant. I love there chicken and Rice, the bread always fresh, o ve the yogurt they sever with the food. Let’s not talk about the rice. The rice is so good I like ve it. I turned my daughter on to Moby’s food. She gets the spicy ground chicken platter its small and perfect for her brings chicken, rice, bread, and a salad its perfect and so good. I will continue to go there, best food and friendly manager.

Let me start by saying I love gyro sandwiches and my favorite local restaurant(Vasilli’s) makes a great one. Unfortunately last week when I was craving a gyro, Vasilli’s was closed for its annual August vacation week. So, I thought I would give Moby’s a try. Alas it did not live up to my high expectations nor satisfy my hankering for this middle eastern treat. The sandwich, while overly large, was bland and comprised mostly of bread and low-cost vegetables rather than tasty gyro meat and feta. The tatziki, served in a small side cup, was also bland and a bit slimy. With a price of around $ 8, I will forgo my hankering for a gyro next time I can’t get one at Vasilli’s.

Easily the best kabobs in the area that I have come across. Their naan is out of this world and the perfect amount of toughness to it. It tastes great dipped in their awesome yogurt sauce. The rice is so good and perfectly seasoned. I love the chicken kabobs but my absolute favorite is the Chenjeh. The steak filet pieces are always tender and so full of flavor. I get the Chenjeh platter which comes with kabob meat, rice, naan, salad, and sauce for less than $ 10 including tax. It is a total steal. I have visited many Moby Dick locations and they have all proven to be 5-star worthy. This one is no exception!

I hit up this Moby Dick once in a while when I’m in the Kentlands area. First, I *love* Moby Dick’s chicken kabob. Second, the guy who regularly works at the counter here is friendly and efficient. Yes, your food will take a while — but it is because they are preparing it JUSTFORYOU!

I always order the spinach salad with chicken. I’d get this for lunch every day if I could. The veggies are always fresh and the chicken is tender, juicy, and seasoned beautifully. It can get busy around lunchtime; expect at least a 10 – 15 minute wait.
