Have had multiple procedures done over the past several years: extractions, implants, crowns, restorative work, cleanings, etc.
Everyone with whom I had contact was highly professional and skilled, I highly recommend this practice.

Both me and my wife had really bad experiences at the Quince Orchard Location.
Seems like they can’t even do an extraction right.
The owner, Dr Kelly is rude indeed and his big thing is to sell implants, even if your tooth is restore-​able.
I found a wonderful Dentist on Russel Ave. in Gaithersburg where all the work they have performed so far has been top quality.
If you need a dentist: do your homework, there are plenty of good dentists around, just stay away from this one.

The team of Dr Kelly DDS & Associates are one of a kind. I found out a week before I had to relocate to another state that I needed two root canals. Although I did not think it was realistic that a week’s worth of time was enough for receiving two root canals and crowns. Dr Tomashevsky and his team made it happen! They had actually rush ordered the crowns, which normally takes two weeks or sometimes longer. Robert Kelly & Associates also made payment arrangements with me. This was absolutely convenient and appreciated taken all the other expenses that one goes through with moving to another state. The staff was knowledgeable and professional and knew me by my first name not by a chart. I highly recommend Robert Kelly DDS & Associates for all of your dental needs. The entire process was seamless and high caliber. The best in the business!

Please do not use this organization particularly if you have complex work. I was subjected to unnecessary work and the overall work was substandard. My next specialist said that he had another patient from there and he was trying to correct the problems. It is a money making factory with little thought, planning or review of complex issues. Be aware.

I must have gotten lucky — or perhaps people only post negative reviews? I avoided the dentist for about 12 years. Had had really negative experiences growing up with dentists: generally the stereotypically mean, no chair-​side manner, way more pain than necessary. And 4 years ago I went in for a root canal and was way overcharged and poorly treated (emotionally and medically) so I continued to avoid…
My husband really pushed me to go, and I was recommended here by a trusted friend. I was up front about my fears and was treated so great by the hygienist (Kelly? Colleen?) and Dr. Lefkowitz (sp?). I had a thorough painless cleaning, an honest talk about next steps and how much it would cost and what we would do based on my insurance. I did not feel upsold by any means.
Really I had a great experience and am so relieved.

I had veneers put on my teeth 6 years ago because they led me to believe it was necessary after chipping my tooth when I was younger. it seemed to me like they just wanted to make the money off me. They did a horrible job. From day 1 of having them on I told them that I wasn’t happy with the color of the veneers. Their response, «It’s the whitest shade we have.» If that’s the case they wouldn’t have been yellow. Secondly, after they were put on 2 months later one broke off while I was eating pizza. It shouldn’t have come off so easily. Thirdly, they began staining early on… veneers aren’t really supposed to stain. Esp not on someone that is very good about taking care of their teeth. I had to keep these ugly things on for 5 years before insurance would allow me to replace them… I no longer am a patient at Robert J Kelly DDS & Associates

I had a bad experience with this office in Kentlands and Quince Orchard.
At this point I wont Unilocal about it because in the end I received my refund.
But lets just say I wont return.

Mike P’s experience from 2009 mirrors almost precisely ours from the same period: sloppy work, use of inappropriate anesthesia despite it being recorded clearly on the chart, neighboring teeth ground down to match a mis-​sized crown or cracked leading to other work (by others), rotating staff so the same doctors/​technicians were rarely seen in a row, and an attitude of talking down to the patient. Most significantly, several dentists have subsequently told us that my wife’s implant and crown are barely standard, led to the need for other work, and will have to be redone sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, none of them will go «on the record» with our insurance and the insurance will not cover a re-​do until 7 years have passed. Corry O’s post from July 2011 suggests not much has changed. Stay away!

My wife went here since it was close to her work. She needed some extensive dental work performed and nothing went well at this dentist. She did find the staff and Dr. Weedon to be friendly, but that was about the only nice thing I can say about this place. Initally, she needed 5 teeth extracted (4 wisdom and 1 infected). Though she was supposed to be under sedation, I could hear her moaning from the waiting room so badly I got up and nearly walked in to see what was going wrong (she doesn’t remember anything, however). They accidentally left a mercury filling from her extracted tooth in the bone and it grew around it. Further, they had to re-​enter the same tooth 3 times in order to complete a root canal. They could never numb her teeth properly, and after poking her in 10 different places to administer the local anesthetic, they performed most fillings/​root canals without her teeth being numb (whereas her new dentist is able to numb her teeth in one shot). She was constantly passed around from dentist to dentist to specialist to surgeon when nobody seemed to know why she was still experiencing pain in a tooth, without anyone giving her any real advice except: «Come back in 2 weeks and talk to this person». She even met with Robert Kelly himself, who was downright rude and disrespectful to her. Ultimately, I forced her to collect her files and move on to a dentist our friend recommended, and has been extremely happy since (though admittedly she still has a bit of a phobia with dentists). Bottom-​line: I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DENTIST!!!
