The UPS Store

quickly and efficiently helped me package my laptop up for shipping. Reasonably priced too.

I have had a box at this store since 2006. The store changed owners a few years back. The old owners kept the same folks on staff for years. They were a pleasure to deal with. It was Miquel and Blanca. They ran the store correctly and the owners stood out of the way.
A few years back that changed. Now I have no clue of the names of the people that work there and they seem to turnover weekly. Fortuantely, it does not take much for a UPS Store employee to put your mail in your box and to get your packages when you come in for them. I do get other box owners’ mail occassionally and it sometimes takes a while to get a delivered package as there are times they have difficulty finding your packages amongst the many.
The thing I don’t like now is that the employees take the mail out of the back of your box when they see you coming in from your car. I don’t need them to do that. I have a key and can take it out myself. Plus, many times they hand it to you in a big pile and there may be a notice for a package pick-​up stuck between your mail. It is easier for me to pull the mail out of my box individually, and find my pick-​up notices, rather than take the pile they hand me and then find a notice when I get home (and thus a unnecessary return visit).
Overall, this UPS Store serves its purpose — I don’t have to have packages delivered to my home while I am at work. Saves me the worrying that some a##hole might walk off with them. Overall, the current staff is fine, but they are not close to the days of Miquel and Blanca. They took the job seriously and were extremely professional. Finally, the price of a monthly box rental has doubled over the ten years I have had the box. To the point that when my current box lease expires, I will probably look elsewhere.

I called on Friday night to ask what time they open and what time they do notary for the next day. They open at 9:30 on Saturday, and notary apparently is from 10−5pm. So I show up at 10am and the store isn’t opened yet, the sign clearly says they open at 930am. Meanwhile a line of people starts forming, waiting on some irresponsible person to open the store. At almost 10:45 a girl shows up. Rushes around to open up everything, then let’s us all in. I paid 6 $ for notary, I regret giving them my business, had I known I would have gone elsewhere for cheaper. The girl that opened the store looked hungover, and she is supposedly the manager. The other late associate looked hungover and as if he didn’t care to be there. Overall, I’d much rather take my business elsewhere to a different location with more professional people.

) these people get the job done. It’s a UPS Store. Yeah, how hard can it be? I know. It’s a UPS Store. Well, let me tell you a story.
I needed a package sent away. No, it wasn’t to Amazon. I needed my box sealed/​taped with a packaging label affixed. I could of taped it myself and printed and affixed the label to the box ahead of time, but I was being lazy. Took the open box to the representative at a USPS and the rep said I needed to buy the tape from her first in order for her to help me seal the cardboard box. Wow, really? U kitten meh? It was another 4 dollars and something for a roll of small packaging tape. Pressed for time, I just paid it. She weighed it and printed the label then stuck it on the box. I paid then left. I wasted money. Don’t tell my wife (she’ll find out when she reads this). Now I compare it to this UPS Store.
It’s a UPS Store. Same deal today. I had my unsealed box with no label affixed. Granted that I did print it out, but it wasn’t affixed. Rep asked what I needed and I said, «I need this shipped». Gave him the label, which wasn’t even cut and was still a full 8.5“x11″ piece of paper, and he took it and folded it along the perforations and placed it in a clear label holder thing then stuck it on the box. He also taped the thang up without saying a word. He printed my receipt and I was on my way after a thanks and a goodbye.
It’s a UPS Store. It gets 5 Stars because it did its job and the rep was damn satisfied that he helped me. What else is there to say? It’s a UPS Store. Oh, I can say one other thing, «USPS is dumb.»

UnFriendly staff
They are always demanding your phone number and address even for a prepaid package. They claim it is a «regulation. I checked around — it is not!

UPS SUCKS!!! They promise your package will arrive overnight, they charge double for overnight service then your package sits in the warehouse for 2 days so now it’s 4 day delivery instead of overnight and if the contents of your package is perishable and spoils due to their negligence their response is its not their problem irregardless of how valuable the contents were.

Conveniently located just off Shady Grove Road.
Easy parking.
Very friendly staff.
Easy to drop off a return that is return postage paid.
Rarely a line and if there is, it moves very quickly.

I’ve only been to this place once but I just had to give them a 5 stars. The lady that helped me out, went above and beyond her duties to help me out. She was a life saver.

Needed to print something out for the MVA. The girl working there was really nice, but it cost me $ 9 to print out 16 pages. Something is wrong with that picture… I know it’s not the franchise’s fault, but still it’s worth noting that it costs this much to print. I think she said .55 a page. Ridiculous.

I have had a mailbox at this location for a couple of years now. The family run operation treats me like family and keeps staff turn over to a minimum. They need to make money somehow and UPS dictates rates not the franchisee store owner. So if you don’t like the rates call UPS. Easy access location in a strip-​mall
