We off a the best pizza on the island along Italian Cream Sodas, Frappes Coffee bar, cold domestic and craft beers and a great selection of wines along with sandwiches and paninis.

History

Established in 2013.

It was started 2013 at 213 23rd street just ½ block off the historical Strand in Galveston. Board Game Island resides in the 1870 Rice Baulard Company Building.

The original concept came from Canada and has been evolved from a modest gaming café to a full service family café that offers natural and organic foods and drinks.

Ward W.

Business Owner

Ward has been in Computer Industry, Defense Industry and most recently retired from the Oil and Gas Industry in Project Management.

A long time goal was to open a small café upon retirement and that goal was met May 1, 2015 when he stumbled upon Board Game Island. (BGI)

He started cooking at 7 and has been a foodie studying techniques, processes styles for more than 35 years.

He loves to experiment with different types of foods and incorporates what he has learned from around the world into BGI’s menu.
