Jeff’s Cab & Shuttle Service

Absolutely agree agree with other reviews. Beyond horrible. Called and gave them an address for pick up the person said «I don’t know where you at», and hung up. People like this shouldn’t be in business.

When no one else was willing or able to take my Girlfriend and I to the airport, he could. We made our flight on time due to this service when we would of missed it if spent looking for a service. They were ready to pick me the moment I called and only took a moment to get to our hotel. The ride was nice and we talked a majority of the time about life experiences and the driver even shared some personal life experiences and advice for us considering we are young (19 and 20). I will definitely recommend this service to anyone in the Galveston or Houston area. Other reviews stating negatives are just bad experiences. Rarely do people post good experiences and go out of their way like I do. So most you read are negative. So take a moment to consider this review and give them a call. I definitely am glad I did.

We used this taxi service last night. I would not use again. The driver was not friendly at all. The cab also was not the best. We used 3 different cab companies this weekend and this was our least favorite and the most expensive.

They are very rude and hung up the phone on me so I do not recommend this place they are horrible smh

Called two months before the trip and was told to call back just two weeks before, that it was too early. Was assured there would not be a problem when I insisted they take the reservation now but they refused. I did what they said, and was told they were all booked up! Do not trust what they say!!!

Worst. Place. Ever. We called and they said 10 minutes and and hour later still waiting. They hung up on us and was so incredibly rude. UNBELIEVABLE

If you call this cab company and get picked up by Israel, call another cab company. This guy has a horrible attitude!!! My friend and I got in his cab and I tried to close the door. He started screaming at me and telling me I was doing it wrong. (WTF! Is there a right way) I asked him to calm down and he said he was going to call the cops. (I thought I was getting punked) I asked him if he was serious and he told us to get out. It’s kinda funny now, but I would definitely not use this cab company again. You might get the wrath of Israel…

Hands down the best Cab service in Galveston. Our driver had us in stitches! Know where you’re at and where you’re going though! You have been warned!

Way overpriced!!! And when your taxi driver is on the phone talking and texting the entire drive it makes you wonder why it’s legal. Pathetic and if I ran the company I would be embarrassed. Hey there’s plenty of services pick one other then this bullshit. #realtalk

We attempted to get a cab with Jeff’s. We were told the wait would be 7 – 10 minutes. After waiting a very patient hour we gave up and made other arrangements.

This was hands-​down the worst cab experience we have ever had. My two friends and I got picked up by Israel on The Strand. We weren’t falling-​all-​over-​ourselves-​drunk, but we had been drinking and just wanted a safe ride back to the hotel.
My friend has a habit of using curse words in his every day vocabulary, and doesn’t think anything of it. He said, «Hey man, can you roll down the f*cking window?» When he used the F-​word, Israel pulled the cab over and turned back to face him and yelled, «What did you say to me?» Eddie repeated what he said because in his eyes, he didn’t see anything wrong with it. Israel went off on a rant about how «This is my house, you don’t curse in my house» and «God sees you cursing and He doesn’t like it» while the meter continued to run.
Finally, he starts moving again and Eddie starts asking me what he did wrong. Israel gets on the phone and starts acting like he’s calling the cops. Whether or not he really did, I’m not sure, but it was uncalled for. He started saying, «Yes, I’d like to report this. I have customers in my cab who are acting very weird…» Honestly, I don’t know who he was expecting to get, but if you pick up people off The Strand after midnight on the first Friday night of Spring Break, they’re probably going to be inebriated.
When he started acting like he was calling the cops, we told him to leave us where we were. He dropped us off almost 3 miles from the hotel and we walked back.
When I called the dispatcher to complain, he laughed at my situation and hung up the phone. I will NEVER use this company again, I don’t care if every other cab company in Galveston goes down in flames.

I recently used Jeff’s cabs after a real mess at the cruise port b/​c of an oil spill. It was less than a pleasant experience. I never expected to get a call from Jeff himself, after I got home. He didn’t try to sugarcoat the problem and even had suggestions for the entire port of Galveston to get together to solve transportation problems during extraordinary circumstances. He was extremely polite, listened to my views, gave me his opinion on the situation.
I’ve had even worse issues w/​Yellow Cab in the past and they didn’t seem to care at all that their driver was rude (and took off w/​my luggage for almost 3 hours). Jeff, on the other hand wanted to get to the bottom of the situation and was prepared to do what he could to improve service.
Next time I need a cab in Galveston, I will call Jeff’s cabs directly. I will use them again. Great service recovery.

Excellent service. We called from where we dropped off the rental car, the woman dispatcher said she did not have a cab close that it would be at least 15 minutes (this location is nowhere near The Strand or anything like that so this was understandable). After a couple of minutes she changed her mind, called some other cab company (it was Blue something) and called us back to tell us of this change. He came almost instantly.
Our total wait time from the initial call to pick up was just a few minutes.

Dispatcher is the absolute worse, she has no customer service abilities and laughs at you when you ask for her boss and then hangs up on you.

My wife and I had dinner reservations for 6:00 on our anniversary and called Jeff’s at 4:30 and asked for a taxi to pick us up at 5:30. We were told they would be there. At 5:45 we called back because no one showed and were told they don’t have anyone to send it was shift change. We called Busy Bee’s taxi and they came quickly and we arrived at our dinner only 6 minutes after or 6:00 reservations. I would never recommend Jeff’s!

Jeff picked me up early one night from my parents house in Galvestion. I was traveling and Jeff could see that my Mom and I love each other very much as we hugged good-​bye. After Jeff dropped me off at the airport he went out of his way to call my mom to let her know I had made it to the airport safely. He knows what it’s like to be a parent. This was so special to my mom that she now uses Jeff’s cabs frequently. Jeff is a pro and also a very kind person. I give him the highest rating and will use him next time I am in Galveston!

I really wanted to like this company but unfortunately I do not. The service was less than professional, the van was beat down and dirty, the ride was double what Yellow Cab charged for the same trip.

I think Sean (above) may have had an unusual experience with Jeff’s Cab. While my family was on the Island for a short weekend trip, we decided to leave our vehicle parked at our hotel and use cab service instead of driving to our evening’s destination. From the call to dispatch to pick up was timely and we were pleasantly surprised at the local knowledge of our driver. He recommended a few restaurants for us to try in the area and offered to come back for us when the performance was over! Kudo’s to Jeff’s Cab for providing such personalized attention!

I just tried to call Jeff’s Cab to get a van to take 8 people from one location on the island to another location on the island. I asked the dispatcher if the van could pick me up at 5:30 PM. I was told by the dispatcher that they could not make reservations on a busy weekend (Mardi Gras) that I would have to call back when I was ready.
I asked if they could not make a reservation then could they send the van now and I was told that it was off the island and would not be back until 5 PM. So I told her that was fine it would be perfect timing and to go ahead and send it to us. She said that she could not make a reservation and that I would have to call back at 5 to get the van! I tried to explain that I was not making a reservation that I wanted it now and obviously it would not be available until 5 PM and I was fine with that. She responded that she could not make a reservation and that I would have to call back at 5 PM.
I asked to speak with her supervisor and was told that her supervisor was not there. I asked for her name and she said «I am the dispatcher». I said if you will not give me your name what is your dispatcher number and she stated that she did not have one.
I don’t think this was friendly service at all. I hung up the phone and called Yellow Cab. The dispatcher I spoke with at Yellow Cab was VERY polite and accommodating. She said it was perfectly fine for me to make a reservation for a specific time and that the cab driver would call me ahead of time to let me know that they were on their way. I explained that I tried to call her first and the phone just rang and rang. She stated that he was the only dispatcher for Galveston and appreciated that I called back and got through to her. In my opinion that is the kind of service you should give your customers.
I plan to call Jeff’s Cab this coming week to speak with a supervisor and explain what occurred. I will make sure to post the response I receive. As for now Yellow Cab will be the only cab company that I use on the island.
