History

Established in 1982.

Dr Patrick J DeRosa, pioneer of Sports Medicine on Long Island started Long Island Sports 32 years ago. Former surgeon of the New York Islanders and many other professional sports teams and local schools, he devoted his time to putting all patients first to ensure quality care and speedy recovers from injuries. His daughter, Cristina, now manages the facility working closely with our doctors of physical therapy providing compassionate and professional care. We develop wellness and fitness programs geared towards each individual to promote after care and help patients that are being discharged to continue to live pain free. We also offer release techniques, kinesio taping, free screenings, personal training and gym memberships in addition to our Physical Therapy.
