Horrible service, food was excellent. Keep in mind you’ll easily spend $ 200 – 300.00 dollars for two people.

So this review is solely for the afternoon tea service on Saturdays.
The reason for 3 and not 2 stars is the atmosphere and service. Its beautiful and the wait staff is very professional.
I was so disappointed in this tea service. It was overpriced and not tasty. The sandwiches were all open faced and tiny. They also were lacking in flavor. The scones were flavored and too crumbly. The «tea bread» was just very heavy lemon pound cake. They give you a lot of desserts, but they are not good at all. The cakes are dry and the filling in the tarts was not tasty. They give you a dessert in a shooter glass made with apple cider. disgusting. It tasted like medicine.
Overall I left with a sugar rush and 60 bucks poorer.

The Dry Aged Steak at the Polo Steakhouse at The Garden City Hotel will have to be my favorite. What an excellent choice of meat that is cooked to your specific perfection. Once you enter the Steakhouse, you are greeted by professional and well mannered hostesses who direct you to a sophisticated yet comfortable environment with an ambience of excellence and class. The staff is well dressed and responsive to your needs by providing world class service with poise. The wine selection is extensive and premier including favorites from Rhone, Bordeaux, and Bourgogne. The manager, Mr. Berge, makes the stay worthwhile by personally attending to you and assisting with wine pairings that are spot on. My visit was pleasant and enjoyable which began with the warm greeting by the hostess Samantha. Go to the Polo Steakhouse for succulent meats, excellent wines, a classy environment, and friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Made to feel special from the moment we came in to the moment we left. Celebrated a birthday and bartender made it a point to make it extra special. Atmosphere is fun and lively. Three piece band playing great tunes. Try the Managua Old Fashioned!!! Died and went to heaven!!! Will be back!

Came here last week for happy hour. Atmosphere was very relaxing and welcoming but yet upscale. Great cocktail menu, and the calamari was to die for! The wings were not your typical upstate wing, they were grilled and blasting with flavor. Service was impeccable and I will definitely be back. Recommend to all!

If you are looking for an upbeat restaurant, look no further than the Polo Lounge. I dined there on a Friday nite with some friends and it was happening! Amazing food, friendly and attentive staff. Great experience and looks of fun

We stayed here and the room service comes from Polo. The food is incredibly bad. The veggie burger was wet and only sort of cooked, falling apart if you tried to eat it. The nachos were a sad mess with few toppings.

Something has changed in the past year. As a past frequent guest for Saturday afternoon tea, the scones and pastries used to taste like they were freshly taken out of the oven. During my latest visit, everything tasted like it was brought in from a bakery. While the server was as accommodating as he could be, the chef refused to accommodate our request for a few extra sandwiches: a request that would have always been accommodated in the past.
As the adage goes, you are only as good as your last meal. This was definitely my last time dining at the polo lounge-​at least for what is supposed to be afternoon tea.

The ambiance is wonderful. The service is excellent. The food was great and well priced but the steaks although excellent were very very expensive. More than New York City prices. I had the fish dish. It was very richly covered in a butter sauce. It was very good. My husband had steak which was excellent. I would go again but I think I would reserve for a special occasion. You will have a great evening if you go there but you will also spend a lot of money.
