I got into an accident with a truck, my car became immobilized and I could not drive it without causing further harm to my vehicle. I called in around 7pm-​ish and i was glad I did. I forgot who I was talking to on the other line, but a tow truck was dispatched to my location. About 20 minutes later a tow truck showed up, Here I met Roger. Roger was professional with his job, and courteous and had a sense of humor. It was funny hearing the outrageous stories he had to share about his less compliant clients. Thanks again Roger, If I needed another tow to a body shop, chances are I will be calling Armstrong Towing again. +1

In short NEVER use this company!!!
The absolute WORST! Took almost two hours to get to me when the estimate was 40 minutes.
The car was being stored over the weekend there until body shops opened on Monday. I told my insurance where to have Armstrong take the car, but Armstrong called me Monday morning to confirm that they were going to take the car back to the intersection where the accident happened?! I told them no– and attempted to provide them with the correct address of the shop it needed to go to. The woman on the phone said that she couldn’t take that information from me, and that I needed to call my insurance company because they had not received a request telling them where to send the car. Well if that was true, then why did she call me in the first place? And why was she trying to take it back to the intersection where the accident happened, if they had not received a request telling them where to send it in the first place?
So I called my insurance company right away and told them the address that I wanted it sent to. The insurance company called them and gave them the address of the auto-​body shop. Later that afternoon I called to see why my car had not arrived at the shop yet. Somehow there was miscommunication and Armstrong towing was planning to take my car to a random address I never heard of in Los Angeles on Whittier Boulevard, instead of the auto shop in Whittier I had selected. On top of that they said that my car was not going to be moved now until Tuesday.
I again told them that they had the wrong address and that they needed to move the car today (Monday). She took the address information from me this time but then when I pressured her about moving the car today she said that I actually had to call my insurance company and have them call the towing company to get them to change the address to the right location again. So basically she was taking the information from me until I pushed to actually get something moving on my car today– then she decided to give me more red tape to go through. How can you not talk to the owner of the vehicle about where the vehicle needs to go?!
So I called the insurance company again and waited on hold while they called Armstrong and gave them the correct address.
Then I called Armstrong back to resume my discussion about getting my car moved the same day. She said that there was no way that my car could get moved today as it was now 3 o’clock– even though I talked to someone at Armstrong at 9AM that day and tried to give them the correct address.
The best that she could do was promise me it would get there early the next morning. As they had the keys to my car I told them not to take it before 7 AM because that’s when the shop opens. She said– oh no not that early– and that they would promise it would be there by 10 AM.
Well Tuesday at 12:30 on my lunch I called the shop to confirm that the car was there. Surprise surprise– it was not.
I called Armstrong again to figure out why my car still was not there when they promised me no later than 10 AM. The operator said– I don’t know I guess he must’ve gotten held up or something but he’s on his way there now. So basically– your promises mean nothing and I’m not priority– and you don’t care.
The car finally made it there around 1 PM. At 4 PM I arrived at the shop to sign the initial paperwork. The shop informed me that when the car arrived, it was on a dolly, not a flatbed as it should have been. In addition the car was filthy. It had something sticky all over it and a few new scratches– nowhere near the site of the accident.
So in short NEVER use this company!!!

The worst tow company I’ve ever dealt with!!! Rude, inexperienced, negligent, and unprofessional is what sums this sham company up. I called my insurance they sent out a tow and these idiots said I didn’t need it and I’m fine after I insisted on a tow. He left me abandoned and now my engine overheated after he said he would follow me to the dealership and turned half a block later to another call. $ 8,000 is what a new engine is going to cost me. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS «service provider» SAVE YOURSELF THE DRAMA. 2015 and after reading these Unilocal reviews I see I’m not the only one that paid the ultimate price by dealing with this company.

My battery may be shit but their service is stellar. Responded estimating they would jump my car in 45 min max, got here in 20 and finished before the expiration of the service window! Super nice guy named Yusef not only jump started my car but helped troubleshoot to confirm the battery is in fact the problem and not something worse. Thank you for putting a silver lining around what is otherwise a brown (doo-​doo colored, to be exact) situation

Called today for a tow. Quoted $ 95 for the 6 mile trip. Told it would be an hour. Waited 1:15, and called back. Told the truck broke down and another driver on the way. One more hour passes. Call them again. Told the new driver got stopped by the CHP but was 30 – 45 minutes away. Waited another hour and called another tow company who said 15 minutes. They showed up in 16 minutes. Right about then, ATS calls to say their driver is 7 minutes away. I said don’t bother, you’ve already taken 3 hours. They offered me a $ 15 discount for waiting so long. I said so long…
Bottom line: they obviously didn’t send a truck that broke down that got stopped by the CHP that was 7 minutes away. Never again!

This is a wonderful towing company if anyone needs a tow!!! I am pleased about the time they arrived to tow my car. I’m very satisfied with the customer service there. Karie who showed up to tow me (yes a woman) was Absolutley wonderful. She is very professional and very friendly. I highly recommend Armstrong towing company!

Good customer service. They were fast and friendly! I was told by another tow company 55 minutes so I gave them a call and they told me 15 minutes. My day for sure got better.

To be honest I have not used theirs services. However is was on Garden Grove blvd and the tow truck driver kept changing lanes so he could ride my behind for what reason I do not know. When we got on the highway he ignored the red light for his lane to get on the highway and tried to squeeze me off the road.
The driver kept changing lanes and was driving too close to me, especially for a large truck. He runs a red light and tried to push a car off the road. Is this the type of tow service you want taking care of you?

USAA sent Armstrong Towing over to help after our extremely low-​slung Fiero broke down. John’s expert knowledge and professional attitude turned an unpleasant situation into a mild inconvenience. They were on time.

Jon was a friendly and helpful tow truck driver. He helped me to get all of my stuff out the car and up to my apartment, when someone else might have left me to carry all the stuff ¼ mile or more.

We recently had the misfortune of needing a tow after an auto accident over near Downtown Disney. Our roadside assistance contacted Armstrong Towing & Service and within an hour, on a Friday night, Fox arrived with his flatbed. Like others here have said, he’s a nice, friendly guy who met me with a handshake and quickly got my car loaded up on the flatbed.
In addition to his friendly nature the thing I appreciated most was that he showed genuine care for our well being, asking if there was anyone he could call for us or anything else we needed. Fortunately we had a family member near by who was able to come meet us and pick us up but this isn’t a guy who would just leave someone in need stranded after he finished loading up a car.
It’s never much fun to need a tow truck or roadside assistance but it’s nice to know there are professionals like Fox out there who seem to have a real desire to help and make things easier when problems arise.

Geico dispatched them to tow my car, was given a 1 hour eta, after an hour and fifteen minutes called to see where the driver was. The girl at dispatch took my info then I was transferred to the manager, who argued with me that it hadn’t been an hour yet. He then said he could have a driver to me in 30 minutes and hung up on me. Terrible customer service, I’m having Geico send me a different tow truck and I hope these guys lose there contract with them

This towing company is probably the best roadside assistant company that I’ve dealt with ever! Expected time was 35 minutes and they were there under 10 minutes. Tech (Fox #18) was professional, knowledgeable and helped me out and I was able to make my meeting on time! Will definitely use them again!

I locked myself out of my car this morning. Called my insurance for roadside assistance. They said they’d have someone out in about 30 mins. Within 15mins Fox from Armstrong towing came out. Mind you it was raining outside so I was more then happy to see him. He was engaging, friendly immediately introduced himself with his name and a handshake. He worked quickly even with the tight squeeze in the parking lot and weather. Honestly wish more guys would be sent out like Fox in these situations,. Already having a tuff time … Don’t need it to be worse. I think this company understands that. Thanks Fox and Armstrong towing!

Outstanding service!
When you call for a tow truck you are usually at your most vulnerable and a good guy towing tech is about as rare these days as a full service gas station but Fox from Armstrong showed up like the cavalry.
He was fast, efficient and an all around nice guy who makes you feel like he’s not going anywhere until your problem is solved. If your wife or daughter found themselves stranded on the road, THIS is the guy you want to show up when they call.

Highly recommended. While on vacation, a light was left on in our car and drained the battery. My insurance company sent Fox from Armstrong Towing. Fox arrived much sooner than anticipated and went above and beyond the expected service. Very fair and helpful!

This is Louie E. From Anaheim. Armstrong Towing of Garden Grove has at leaast one great employee, his name is Steven (Fox) not only is he helpful, he is also friendly. While he worked on my car, put gas and check my battery, showed me it might be the battery.
He told me Barrett needed and I opened the battery and put water then my car worked. He knows cars.
