We believe that quality after school education is essential in reaching academic success. It is our mission to partner with parents, and to provide our scholars a safe, loving environment where they receive academic assistance as well as enrichment in all subject matters in compliance with the Common Core State Standards. The mission of Cherry Blossom Academy is to assist in producing a community of scholars who desire to be lifelong learners. The scholar-​centered environment will create an atmosphere for critical thinking, challenging learning activities, curricular competency, self-​motivation, and artistic expression. The VISION of Cherry Blossom Academy is to foster an environment that values family, treasures children, respects diversity, values scholarship, and appreciates creativity.

History

Established in 2014.

Cherry Blossom Academy was established by two Credentialed Teachers with the passion to provide the best quality enrichment education to all students. We believe that every child has the potential to achieve great academic success when provided with the right learning tools and a strong supportive system.

Cherry Blossom Academy will integrate a variety of instructional approaches and methods in order to serve as a strong curricular support to the national movement for the Common Core State Standards in English Language Arts and Mathematics and Content Standards for Science, Social Science and Visual Arts.

Meet the Business Owner

Melissa N.

Business Owner

Ms. Melissa earned her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in 2010 from Cal State University Dominguez Hills and Bachelor of Arts in IDS in 2009.

While working towards her Credential, Ms. Melissa worked at a Charter School in L.A. as their intervention teacher and substitute teacher for 3 years. Ms. Melissa also taught in two Preschools in Garden Grove, where she applied her elementary teaching techniques to further challenge the Preschoolers academically. She also worked as an office manager for 2 years at Expectations of Educational Excellence Charter School in Los Angeles where she gained valuable experiences of administration and leadership skills.

Ms. Melissa is a dedicated teacher whose goal is to help students reach academic success.
