I love this place. Their tamales are the greatest especially the one with Bean and cheese on plantain leaf. Their«canea coffee» is the best in town. Definitely will go here every morning.

I love it when I can walk into a business on short notice and get what I want when I need it. I was looking for tamales and the ones at Walmart were a joke — teeny tiny and half frozen and I wasn’t having it. I took a chance and went to the local Von’s near work, but they didn’t have tamales either. What to do? I found Flor De Mexicali No 1 in the same strip mall on the corner of Haster and Chapman. This place was b-u-s-y with customers before 7AM picking up freshly baked pan dulce y café like you wouldn’t believe. I saw their ad for tamales on the window and thought I’d give them a try. I wasn’t disappointed. They were ready for me and the rest of the customers seeking out their delicious tamales a few days before Christmas. Thank you-thank you to the ladies at the counter — you were great to the solamente gringa in your store this morning. I was able to pick up 4 pork and 8 chicken tamales for today’s pot luck.
