Apparently the hippest phở place in the OC. Open early and close late. Their food is on point and interior is very modern and hip. Cool place to come and hang out.

Once you walk in at 2AM on a Saturday night, you can smell the phở and it’s deliciously appetizing. I came here after a long day, not super hungry but once I walked in, I was starving. And you KNOW it’s good when it’s still packed with Asians of all ages at 2AM. I ordered the regular Phở Tai Filet Mignon and it arrived in maybe 5 minutes. The broth was hot and delicious. The beef was thin and tender. The noodles were very… slurpable, not clumpy. Also ordered the 3 Colored Drink — not sure what they call it because it seems it changes across restaurants but I think it’s Che 3 Banh Mau Lot(???). Tons of beans, but that’s pretty much what you’re asking for when you order it. I love the chewy green pandan pieces. Things move quickly here and just because you see a line of people outside doesn’t mean it will take very long for you to be seated and served. When you’re done, bring your bill up to pay.

I love late night Phở Lu!!! I have to learn how not to burn my mouth because I can’t wait to eat beef egg rolls wrapped in the lettuce they serve on the side dipped in the fish sauce. This is my favorite part of Phở Lu ironically. I’ve also had #19 with no meat and rice noodle as well as the rice noodle with well cooked beef. Everything I’ve had here has been so tasty and filling! The phở broth is very clean with no oil bubbles in there. Service is great, tables are set up ready for large parties, food is always tasty no matter what time of day or night. I love Phở Lu and would recommend it to anyone! You will not be disappointed.

Came here after running around Disneyland with a couple Unilocalers. Place was kinda crowded and a bit noisy. Service was quick as far bringing the food out but they hardly came back to check on us. Got one refill of water and never came back after that. The other downside they bring you a check you go to the counter and pay. We had 4 people and each of us were paying for our own and it seemed like they were having a hard time telling us how much we each owed I mean you see the dish just tell us the price it took forever I mean wouldn’t it be easier to print out what the table ordered like a normal table check but no the guy kept asking the lady at the register it was like they were confused geez I don’t know about their paying system I can definitely see many mistakes as far as over charging or under charging. Heck all I ordered was pork egg rolls at first they said 17 bucks I was like what are you serious and I said I only order one so it was 7 something what the heck and then our other party was paying theirs with credit card and he came back to us saying he under charged theirs should have been a dollar more it was a fiasco I don’t think I’ll come back here unless the paying system changes to a normal style restaurant with a table check with prices.

My dad said he use to eat phở for breakfast in Vietnam. I thought it was crazy because I only wanted it for lunch or dinner but not this time around. I dragged my mom outta bed and told her I wanted to try the oxtail phở for breakfast! They open at 8am-3pm! We were the only ones in there, ordered two medium bowls of oxtail phos and waters. As they came out, 4 bowls were on the table because the oxtails come on the side. My mom was stunned at how much protein they give you and said its about $ 8/lb and this is prob a lbs worth! The phở was aiiiight, my noodles were still clumped together and it didn’t seem like the broth was hot enough to make them wiggle apart. Although the oxtail was tender and it literally fell off the bones– there was so much– we shared a bowl of oxtail between the two of us and togo’d the other portion. It came out to be $ 17 total without tip. My mom said she’ll make it for me at home but if it’s an epic fail– yes, I would probably come again if I had a craving for oxtail but I hope my noodles aren’t all hard and clumpy next time around!

I absolutely love the oxtail phở here, not many restaurants offer it. I always call ahead to make sure they haven’t ran out before I get there. There were plenty of times when I came here and they said they were out :( The restaurant was renovated not too long ago and has a clean ambiance. Management is very friendly and service is great even when they have a full house. They are very generous with their portions and it always comes out steaming hot. The oxtail comes in a separate bowl from the broth and noodles. The broth is delicious and the oxtail is so tender it falls right off the bone. I highly recommend getting quail eggs with your phở! One order of quail eggs is $ 1 and it comes with 4 pieces. Y’all can thank me after. It’s definitely a game changer :)

3.5 stars because of the amazing customer service! I can’t really give it a full 4 stars because my bf got a tummy ache right after eating here– but it could be because he had the Avocado shake mixed with his hot filet min phở soup. And as a vegetarian the options are limited as most of the broth made here has chicken and beef broth so alls i can have was the rice noodle with vegetables and spring rolls. Boring! They def. are a lot more high tech where each server brought around there very own iPad menu and we are checked up on quite often. I really enjoyed that part, I also feel like my server had really kind eyes and genuinely cares about what I should eat. even though it wasn’t great! Customer service is truly key!

It’s always nice to know there’s someplace I can park easily, sit comfortably, and enjoy a cup of joe while waiting to pick up BGE from LAX. No matter which CBATL I frequent, I can always count on a great consistent cup of nicely prepared coffee. Why CBATL vs SB? It truly boils down to bean roasting: CBATL does not burn their beans. Unlike SB, CBATL does not have that charred burnt bitterness that can be found in every cup of SB coffee. That said, I will be back to this location for sure. Great ambiance. Happy workers. All g!

This was my 2nd time coming here, the last time was not spectacular but this time was a total disaster, I don’t understand how could anybody rate this a 4 stars? It was Impossible for the following reasons: 1) Phở Tai nam gan: the broth was tasteless, the meat was tougher than my shoe leather, the tendons were however good n tender. 2) Banh hoi with egg roll, shrimp paste n grilled pork was not at all edible, 1st of all, everything tastes stale as if they were cooked and reheated, the egg roll had so much garlic n it’s not fresh garlic, it’s the frozen chopped garlic that smelled awful n tasted bitter. Needless to say I could not eat it then to make it worse they only take debit card even the sign on the door said VISA N master card ! I had just spent almost $ 100 cash for hair salon, pedicure n manicure I now had to spend my last $ 20. I rarely go to any restaurant that don’t take credit cards, It’s inconvenient for me. I’m not coming back here, fortunately I’m close to Fu riwa so I was able to buy some take out.

Do you like meat? Do you like the tail of oxen? Brave the streets of Westminster and Garden Grove. My car has been bumped, side mirrors knocked aside, and I’ve personally been threatened in Vietnamese while crossing the street. It’s all worth it. Get the large oxtail phở. It will change your stupid, little life. P. S. take pictures of the cars parked next to you before going into the restaurant. You’ll never know if that BMW or Mercedez side-swipes you on their way out the parking lot :/

I have been coming I this spot for years. It started off as a late night meal after some dancing and drinks. I thought it was delicious and would bring my friends who came to visit Orange County to this spot. It soon turned into the only phở place that I go to. Delicious phở ga(see photo) and pretty much anything to else I’ve ever tried. About the phở ga. Rich and well seasoned broth make this phở a number one in my book. No sauces necessary. The service is always fast and food is always hot. This is a must try if you’re in the area as it never disappoints.

Solid phở. Flavorful broth. We always come here during the day at around 3PM and find the place is mostly empty. Because of this, our food usually comes out very fast. I’ve never had a bad experience here. They only accept cash and debit! For debit, minimum 15 $.

FOOD: — Com Tam Thit Nuong, Tom, Cha Gio: broken rice with grilled pork, grilled shrimp, and egg rolls. We came in at 3pm on a Tuesday afternoon. I wanted to try their Phở Oxtail but they ran out, so I opted for a rice plate instead. The meat was tender and flavorful. The shrimp was good, slightly overcooked. The egg rolls were decent. Comes with a sliced cucumbers, pickled cabbage, and a small bowl of soup. The soup wasn’t good. It had an off-putting aftertaste. 4⁄5 SERVICE — We were greeted and seated immediately. The male server was friendly and helpful. The female server seemed like she hated her job. No one checked on us after our meals were served. Payment options were a little confusing. The sign says cash and debit only but had credit card logos. 3⁄5 FINALTHOUGHTS Good food, decent pricing. I would come back.

This place has pretty good late night phở and the broth here is on point. A lot of the staff here doesn’t speak English much because I asked for a water and they brought me bean sprouts but that’s not anything I’m too worried about because it is in the middle of Vietnam town and I should be ordering in Vietnamese anyway. Phở here is good, service is alright but don’t expect to be dropped off the check. You’ll have to go up to the register to pay and remember the table number you’re sitting at too.

A very SOLID phở option in the heart of Little Saigon, but this isn’t the place for you if you are looking for the cheapest phở in town. Phở Lu shares the same plaza as Tastea and parking situation is a hit-and-miss depending on what time you come here. This place does NOT accept credit card and you must purchase more than $ 15 in order to use debit cards(no split checks). Once you are done with your meal, then you’ll need to walk up to cashier counter to pay(pretty weird for a dine-in restaurant). IMPORTANT: Their signature oxtail phở is ONLY available after 6PM. *** #1 Rice Noodle Soup with Rare Filet Mignon(regular, $ 8): Clean broth(not too heavy) + good filet mignon(silky and smooth), but noodle could have been better and there were only two pieces of jalapeño.(4⁄5) #35 Egg Rolls(3 rolls, $ 6.50): Lacked strong flavors, but overall excellent quality egg rolls with great crust and good dipping sauce. Just wrap each egg roll up with lettuce and you’ll be ready to dig in!(4⁄5) ***. The overall logistic(pay at the counter, no split checks, etc) was a bit of a hassle, but I am still a fan here and this place closes at late night! P. S. — The guy who sat next to my table kept complaining about a hair in his bowl and he was looking for either free meal or future discounts in return. Main takeaway message — always check your bowl first.

Late night vietnamese spot to grab food that’s pretty popular in the late hours too! —jackfruit smoothie: not bad, tangy and good for those are aren’t looking for something too sweet or too creamy —shrimp spring roll: nothing special —phở: the soup was pretty tasty, i tried a spoonful of my friend’s according to my friends, it’s not the best around but it does the job when it’s late at night

My family came here after a full fun day at Disneyland. We came in a party of 6, it was around 9pm, it was still crowded and busy. We waited about 15 minutes before we were seated. We ordered phở oxtail, phở dac biet, beef fried rice, and shrimp fried rice. I had the phở oxtail, which I thought was really good! The broth flavor was so good, I felt like the oxtail was cooked in the broth for hours for it to become so delicious. My boyfriend and his sister had the phở dac biet, they said it was good and flavorful. They have been here a few times already and they said that the broth are consistently good. His other brother and nephew had the beef fried rice and shrimp fried rice. He said the fried rice was good, but the beef and shrimp were dry. They would not recommend these two dishes. I would definitely come back again for the phở oxtail!

Came here a little before midnight on Saturday because we got caught up at the car dealership for hours… I stopped by tastea before because I love my tea. I didn’t expect so many people to be there that late but it was like a full house! Luckily we got a seat right away. SERVICE: Pretty prompt considering how busy they were. They took orders through an iPad, which was interesting to see at a phở shop. FOOD: Oxtail Phở — the oxtail was fall off the bone tender!!! The broth was also tasty. There was a good amount of noodles for my small bowl. If you’re hungry, get medium or large. I normally eat Phở in the valley(phở 999 or phở so 1) so this was a nice change. We normally get different food when we are in the OC. Vermicelli bowl — I actually didn’t get a taste but it must have been very good because my bf ate it so fast! He normally offers me a bite but I guess he was too hungry haha. Price — pretty good. Not really expensive(on what we ordered).

Love coming here for late night phở(any time is good for phở, though). The soup is very cleansing and the entire bowl of phở always makes me feel good after an exhausting day. The meats are very good quality. We always get #6 because it’s consistently good. It contains beef and tripe. Just add some hoisin sauce and sriracha and you’re good to go! As with many Vietnamese eateries here, you get a ticket after you order, and when you are done you pay at the front. The service is very fast so this is my favorite place to go for phở!

So I am never really ever in Garden Grove but I do like eating phở and one of my friends suggested trying this place out for their Ox Tail Phở. I have to say I have never had that dish before but once I did I have been back here twice in literally two weeks. It’s pretty much a far drive from us but we came here for lunch and dinner. During lunch it was pretty empty maybe because it was around 3:00PM. For dinner time it was more busy and there were plenty of families eating here. Our orders were same both times which was the Ox Tail Phở. They bring the noodles in a separate bowl and the Ox Tail in another. The meat is pretty good with a lot of flavor *totally would recommend this dish*. Parking is easy they are sharing with plenty of other local businesses but it wasn’t hard to find parking. The place is super clean and they got our order right so I have no complaints and probably be back here soon for sure!
