Was trying to print 25 color invites!

I recently had my wedding invitations done here and it came out exactly as I wanted. I worked with the owner, Tom (not too crazy about the employees there) throughout the whole process. I had to make many changes and Tom was on top of it each time. I am very persistent and big on customer service and he was able to fulfill my needs. Tom is very patient and will work with you and will give you his opinion if they are able to provide you the service you are looking for. IF you know what you are looking for and on a budget, I would definitely recommend this place. This place needs alittle grooming, but the prices will make up for it.

Never ever go here! They are extremely unprofessional and doesn’t keep their words! They wasted a whole month of our time, when it come to communication and getting our invitation done. In the end we got a crappy product and a «take your money and go do it somewhere else because we can’t do it». We picked out the paper, show them the invitation design and they said it wouldn’t work because the ink will bleed on that paper. We changed it and sent it to them to ask if the revised design will work. They take over a week to respond every single time. When they finally responded it’s a yes it’s fine just come and put a deposit down and we did. Due to the history of being unresponsive I called to check if the paper were ordered and the day before pickup I called to confirm and they lied and said yes it’s being printed. Half an hr hour later we get an email saying oh they can’t print because they file and format doesn’t work with how they need to do the printing. They can’t break out the different color layers. Mind you we’ve sent the file 2 wks ago and ask them if it was ok and was told it was fine. Back and forth it got delayed till 3 days later after the agreed upon due date. I came to pickup and the printing job was crap. The ink was spotty and uneven, and the color didn’t even match what we picked out!!! By now we’ve wasted over a month with them. We demanded a reprint, we were back and forth for a little while and Tom finally agreed. When I came to show them exactly the color we wanted, their extremely rude printing guy had to nerve to tell me that nobody would care it’s just an invite, it’s fine so I should just take it and if we don’t like then take it elsewhere to get it printed. The day after I talked to the owner Tom and he said it’s our fault for going to their place, it’s cheaper so that’s what we get and we should just go somewhere else because they can’t do it. I’m sorry to say if you are going to run a business, do what you promised to do and not go back on your words. If you know you can’t do it, don’t accept the job. Don’t take my money and in the end tell me oh well go somewhere else because you can’t deliver. A couple of hundreds might not mean much to them, but it’s the principle! They constantly make promises they can’t keep from agreeing to a job they can’t do to agreeing to a reprint for a messed up job and going back on it all.

My invitations were beautiful, on that alone i would give 5 stars but not in the process. I did my homework and compared w 2 other shops, since i was referred to Tom by a friend and his prices were great we went with him. First appt on sat at 12pm, showed up and no one was there… Called left vm and went to get some food, came back and shop was still empty, checked my phone no vm regarding cancellation… Hmmm… Finally met him a few days later. store is small and cluttered and he was definitely preoccupied, gave us an amazing price and we started the process. Proofs never came on time and would have to be reminded to be sent. voicemails were never returned (after a couple of messages because no one picked up I am not sure if they even checked it), edits that were missed time around… I got nervous see. Because before i put down the deposit i spoke to both Tom and Anh An regarding all these issues and was assured that it was only because people were going on vacation and staff was short. Uh not really because it continued to happen, and they were a couple days late on delivering the end products… Thank goodness this is over, but i hope if you choose them you get a bit of an easier process then i did. (My friend on the other hand had a «smooth» process) just my luck right?

From the looks of the shop you think ok, no way they have invitations. I went in and so glad I did! Tom had a bunch of wedding invite samples and it was easy to choose and mix and match what we liked and didn’t like. I was very skeptical about him doing them they way id like but he was extremely helpful and helped us pick the colors in the same shades as the others. The pricing was great compared to other printing places almost half the «American» shops! The invites came our beautiful.

Highly recommend State Printing. We had our wedding invitations done here and they turned out very nice. Different from all other print shops and he was very quick with communication and edits prior to final print.
Prints turned out better than expected and he made process very easy.

Bad service! Very unprofessional. They told me they don’t want to waste time setting up the machine for laminating, so they wanted to charge me a ridiculous price. Sounds like laziness to me. This is not how you run a business!

Tom from State Printing is the BEST!
I’m just about the pickiest bride out there, I know exactly what I wanted for my invitation but other places i went to where quoting me an arm and a leg. I was referred to Tom by a friend, he was very responsive with text and email.
When I met him at his shop I have to admit I was scared, it was messy! But I knew what I wanted and so I didn’t need to look at samples, which they have a ton of. He guided me to the paper that I wanted, the colors and the scripts, even wording it right. I would say, «I want blush paper“and he shows me his recommendation, and was very on point with all his recommendations, it’s like he read my mind! We worked really well together, he was very efficient, detailed and organized. He really knew his papers, as soon as I mention a color he was able to find the exact color, texture etc. He’s one of the most helpful vendor I worked with. He also did our seating chart and table numbers last minute, we got tons of compliments. Everything looked very high end, they have very high quality papers and raised ink. I highly recommend him for any type of printing you need!

Good print shop. It helps to speak Vietnamese here but you can still get by with English when spoken slowly.
They do good work and are in tune with what their customers want. The shop uses high quality paper for letterhead and business cards and do a good shop of translating art into the final product.
Their rates are reasonable to cheap for the type of quality you get. I highly recommend.

From first appearance, one would think that this place was the messiest place ever. Two motorcycles chilling in the front, piles and piles of boxes, everything scattered about, and almost every place seemed like a death trap. I came here from a friend who got his wedding invitations done here and told me that the price was right. I just needed some color laser prints for my invitations on some card stock that I already purchased, so I figured why not.
So I come in and meet a guy named Tom. I tell him that I have the image for my wedding invitation and asked if he could use my metallic paper and thick card stock to print the invitations on them. He says he can and tells me to drop them off and to just pick it up later that day. Because we’re late on doing our invitations, I ask him if he can do it for me right away. He’s like sure why not. So that was awesome.
The whole time as he’s doing it we’re chatting about school, realty and each other’s family. Truly a a great stand up guy and seems almost like the fatherly figure type.
All in all, my invitations came out great with nice color and fast. Literally, he spent like 20 minutes to print and even offered to cut them for free for me. Even when I had to leave to make some changes to the prints that I wanted him to make, he was okay with me leaving without paying even though I had taken some of the copies with me. I would totally recommend this guy for good work, fast, and definitely cheap.

I was referred to State Printing by a cousin who used them for her wedding invitations.
I worked with Tom and he was so patient and accommodating. He was able to print our wedding invites in 2 languages: Vietnamese & Chinese. He provided us with a template where you can just fill out your personal information. The quality was there and pricing was much cheaper than competitors in the area.
Will definately use again when I have the need for printing services.
