Established in 1988.

T.L.C. Chiropractic was first established in Garden Grove in January 1988 by Dr. Kent Salholm, and has been a cornerstone of the community since that time. In 2013 TLC celebrated its 25th anniversary!

Dr. Kent Salholm graduated from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1986. After practicing as an Associate Doctor Dr. Salholm established T.L.C. Chiropractic in 1988, in order to allow the community to be served by a friendly and professional Chiropractor who would specialize in short-​term relief solutions to their pain, without being told to come in again and again for long term and often unneeded care.

Just visited TLC Chiropractic for the first time. It was my first experience with a chiropractor, and I left feeling amazing and my mind blown. I’m five months pregnant and have been experiencing pain and discomfort in my hips and lower back, and my OB recommended I see a chiropractor. So glad that I did! Dr. Johnny took the time to talk me through what he was doing, taught me some things about my body, and was incredibly considerate and easy to talk to. Bringing my daughter and husband back next week, still can’t believe how much better I feel.

I can see why everyone rates this clinic so highly! I came in to see if they could help with my neck, shoulder and lower back pain after a work injury. I was checked in right away by the receptionist. Dr. Athena was extremely friendly and welcoming. Her assessment was thorough and she listened to all of my concerns. She was able to adjust me and I quickly gained relief. Since then, I’ve been coming in every week to every week and a half. Slowly, my pain has been decreasing and my mobility has increased. I like coming to this location because they don’t force you to make future appointments, xrays or take medications. They tell you to come in when you need it. They aren’t shady like the other doctors.

T L C Chiropractic is fantastic! It’s $ 50 for each visit. There is no set amount of visits, you come as needed.
Dr. Athena worked on me yesterday and she is fabulous. She figured out why my knee had been hurting and got me up and moving again. :-) I’m so glad I found them. I can’t wait to bring the rest of my family here!!!

Today was my first experience at the chiropractor, and I must say it was a very good one.
First, the staff was very welcoming and informative concerning the process that I was going through. There were no feelings of being taken advantage of.
Secondly, their goal of trying to fix the problem the first time so that you do not need to come back was appealing. Even though that was their goal, I still want to come back because of their treatment.
Lastly, for this being my first adjustment, I feel 100 percent better than when I arrived. The dr. Was able to pin point the problem and then treat the area. I highly recommend them.

After receiving a back injury at work, I thought I would be in pain for quite a while.
I am happy to say, that is not the case. I ended up being very lucky in choosing Dr. Kent, him and his staff are both friendly and helpful. They are attentive to their patient’s needs and go out of their way to do whatever they can to help. I don’t think I can say enough to convey the gratitude I have for the help they have given me.
Even if he is a little out of the way, he and his staff are worth the drive. And you know he isn’t going anywhere, he just celebrated his 26th year.

Great staff, great service, great everything!
I love Dr. Kent and the other staff members (Linda and Lisa)! They really make you feel like home if that makes sense. I remember the first day I went there. They welcomed me warmly and talked to me like as if I was their friend! I felt really comfortable with them. After going here for a month (still continuing to go), I feel like I have known them for a long time! They give such a good atmosphere. They’re really great people. You don’t need to make an appointment with them; it’s a walk-​in. I highly recommend this place!

Dr. Kent D.C. and Linda C. A, are just amazing! I used to work there, for about a year as their Massage Therapist. Until Grad/​Doc School, I was unable to work the hours, in which I was needed to service.
I work now as a M.T. in a Newport Beach Location (while going to school), but I always, refer my clients in Newport Beach to Dr. Kent’s office in Garden Grove.
Yes, it’s a drive, but Dr. Kent and his staff will always provide the best, quality and make you feel you are Family… along with fixing you.
Being in the field, as a professional Massage Therapist, with 2 Degrees and along with working with other Chiro’s and along my Doctorate of Oriental Medicine, I can tell you… he is the best at what he does! Over 25years of experience should tell you something, along with a great smile!
I hope one day, I can be as good as of Doctor like him!

Been coming to TLC for MANY years. Since they were at the old location. Always had great time here, the staff is awesome, and I always leave feeling better than when I walk in. Unfortunately for me, my insurance covers less and less and my co pays go up and up or else I would go much more. Best part is I can walk in any time… I usually call in to see how their wait is, and this way too my paperwork is ready when I get in. I have never hesitated referring my friends of family members to come here. Thanx Dr Kent
