Great Gym !! clean floors and awesome decals. Every basketball court has a sponsor, whether its Wells Fargo, Sprite, or Power Ade! I come here every Monday to get my sweat on!

The layout here is excellent. The overhead courts and spacing in between keeps the courts safe and efficient for athletes and spectators.
Tournament fees vary per event, and they can be high, but remember, those are charged by the clubs hosting the event, not by MAP.

I’m so sick of sport facilities that are in California and have NO AIR CONDITIONING. I pay $ 10 entrance and $ 7 to park and it smells so bad in here and the parents are sweating like that are playing basketball too. Is it too much to ask that there be some AIR circulation? Two days we spend $ 40 admission $ 14 parking and then the tournament fee.

Is ridiculous that they charge you $ 7 to park per day then charge you to get into a tournament that you already paid to have your kid play in! Taking advantage of parents who want to see their kids play knowing they will pay. $ hungry & greedy! The inside of the faculty is nice though but needs better A/​C! Just FYI I wouldn’t mind paying maybe $ 3 parking or $ 7 for the weekend.

What a rip-​off. Kids had a basketball tournament here. $ 7 for parking, $ 10 admission for adults, $ 8 admission for kids 5 and up. $ 50 to get my whole family into this dump of a facility. On top of the $ 50 entry fee. Are you kidding me? This place is awful. Last tournament I attend at this place.

My husband plays in a league here during the week, I really enjoy watching him play here. Score boards are visible, plenty of seating, and love that they have a snack bar. Parking is good, other than the people who don’t know how to park within the lines.

Awesome sports facility for all ages.
Courts are always clean and the concession stand provides a variety of snacks and drinks.

Great facility, clean courts, great lighting. In the summer, it can get stuffy since they don’t have AC, but the courts are affordable to rent.
Some courts have benches for guests to sit on, and there is a couple main courts with score boards. Small snack area with junk food and drinks. Plentiful parking in the lot, though it does get busy.

Came here for a friends basketball game. The place was packed and there was a fee to park your car as well as get into the arena. It was $ 7 for cars and $ 10 per person to go into the arena. There were a lot of courts… I think there were like 12. They had all different kinds of age groups and the games were very intense because it was club level. The seating were just fold out chairs but they were nicely set up. Also I liked the fact that there was a walkway around the court rather than having to step into the court to move through it. I really liked this place. It was very clean also.

Great facility. My son plays here during the week and weekends. Expect fees for parking and entry for adults. My son is eight so they offer a variety of leagues and training. Everything available from the beginner to the travel teams

Fake advertisement with the free hot dog. They don’t even sell hot dogs. I’ll quit whining now and get straight to the point. This facility is great. It’s a huge industrial building with tons of courts. I like how they have refs, scoreboards, and a sitting area for those who aren’t playing a game.

Our basketball league was moved to the MAP Sports Facility, so upon arrival the first thing noticeable was lack of parking. I wouldn’t recommend coming there less than 15 min before game time because you may still be waiting on your car for a spot. Inside the gym there are an ample amount of courts, clean, and good finish.

Great facility for basketball tournaments, but the parking is horrible. Come early, if you want to park close; otherwise, you’ll end up walking for ten minutes or more.

this place is really nice. my son and his basketball team had a tournament here this weekend and i was pleasantly surprised with this place. eight courts under one roof, with enough room for team benches and fans. electronic scoreboards for each court. it has a indoor picnic area with snack bar and a couple of tv’s. its clean and well run facility, with a friendly staff. the one downfall is the parking, but it wasnt too much of a problem. just plan for the worst and expect the best. there are many places that have parking issues. cant wait to come back next year!

I am a long time youth basketball coach and a parent of three boys who have played many tournaments at American Sports Center in Anaheim, MAPS in Garden Grove, and Next Level in Garden Grove.
I am writing the same review for all three facilities. As I read through the other low star reviews it makes me laugh. Yes, the parking is horrible at all 3 but keep in mind that they are all industrial warehouses with parking lots intended for employees not tons of fans. So they charge for the small amount of spaces they have as any business would. I went to the Rose Bowl last year and paid $ 40 to park about ½ a mile away but nobody seemed to care about that.
The next thing that I noticed in the negative reviews is Unilocalers complaining about the admission fees. The admission fees are charged by the organizations holding the tournaments and not the facilities. Gate fees are charged by the various clubs that are holding the tournaments so they can cover their costs. Those clubs pay MAPS, Next Level, and ASC to use the courts then charge the teams a fee to be in the tournament. Gate fees are charged to make additional money. I don’t like paying them either but the facilities are not to blame.
The funniest one is the complaints about the referees. I completely agree that there are some horrible referees but again, they are hired by the clubs hosting the tournaments and usually not by the facilities. And I will add that the facility staff members are constantly treated like crap by coaches, parents, and fans in general so I try to cut them a little slack. It is a high stress job to make sure everything runs smoothly.
The only gripe I have and will agree with other negative reviews is the scorekeeping. 9 – 10 times it is awful and in many cases the facilities do provide the scorekeepers. There should be a no cell phone rule for the scorekeepers and they are getting paid to push buttons and watch the game. They constantly forget to stop the clock in the already short games and they do get the scores wrong quite often. Parents take their kid’s games seriously (especially with all of the money we spend) and the scorekeepers need to realize this. But do not complain to the table of or the referee. Go find a facility manager or supervisor. They are there you just have to find them.
Just realize how blessed we all are to have all of these facilities to use. I come from Las Vegas where there are very limited facilities. And those of you complaining about AC and heat… you have to be kidding me, right? We live in Orange County and even on a really hot day it is not that bad. Bring extra water (I have been to all of these facilities dozens of times carrying a soft bag cooler and I have never been stopped and checked). And I would certainly rather be inside a warm gym than standing on a soccer or baseball field with absolutely no shade.

One thing about this place that blows… PARKING! Small lot with most of the parking in the back.
Everything else about this place is great. High quality flooring, high quality glass/​rims. Think a total of 8 courts?
I play Hoops Unlimited here and it has a pretty good setup. Keep track of stats such as FTA, 3PA, etc. The also start on time and will start running the clock if you’re not on the court.

This place is good as it gets when it comes to playing basketball indoor! Its inside a huge facility that was once a warehouse! They have well maintained courts, and the place has top quality flooring and basketball hoops!
I like the huge lounge area in the front, and they have reasonable prices to rent out a court to play with your good friends, like we did for my friend’s b’day or you could play/​watch their many amateur league games that they have going on all day, everyday!
I recommend this place to anyone that loves to play & watch BASKETBALL!

Decided to check out this new place to watch the VFW tournament and had to park about 2 blocks away in a residential area. All of the regular lots were towing cars. I was yelled at after parking my car that if «I left my car there it would be towed».
The guy behind the counter at MAP basically said it was my call and didn’t really want to be bothered. Didn’t really care for the attitude.

Went here for my sons basketball tournament and while the facility is new, they missed the mark when it comes to parking and bathrooms. The parking lot is small, which is probably why they charge so much, and doesn’t seem to be appropriate for a facility of this size. I had to park around the corner at a different lot and I talked to a few other parents who had to do the same. From the amount of people that were inside the facility I don’t know where everyone parks. They must have a lot of off-​site parking.
The facility was packed the day we went and it was hot inside and they don’t have A/​C. There wasn’t any seating so we all had to stand the entire time, which wasn’t fun as it must have been 95 degrees inside. My wife had to wait 10 minutes just to use the restroom, which again, seems like they are not setup for the amount of people they have inside the facility.
Bottom line– they aren’t setup to accommodate the number of people that attend a typical basketball tournament.

MAP Sports Facility, I have recently been playing my basketball games here on Sunday with the ABA league. I reallly like this sports facility, all the courts are still looking new, with great grip for your basketball shoes. Bleachers are on the side of each court, compared to behind the back board like other places. It is a huge plus that they have scoreboards for each court, and they work too!!! Another huge plus, even though I have yet to purchase anything is they have their own snack bar.
One reason I only gave it three stars, was the separation of the courts, it has walks ways, but its carpet! I mean really?!? What if you are going full speed to save the ball from going outta bounds, you’re gonna face plant the moment u try to stop on the carpet, as it is a surface change compared to the hardwood. Just imagine a dive or getting fouled and flying outside the hardwood, Hello floor burn (much more annoying than burns you get from the hard wood).
The other star deduction is the entrance and the parking, first off the parking it is a pretty big parking lot, but its like a flip sided L, not once have I got to park near the entrance, I always had to park behind the building and walk all the way around to the entrance. I would at least open a door or an entrance in the back as well. Speaking of the entrance, I shake my head at it. There is a walk way with railings, I can see the intention that it is handicap ready, but sometimes when games are over, and other people are coming to play, there is so much people traffic. I may be getting technical but hey that’s what our reviews are for, and I would be cheating MAP Sports Facility if I didn’t give them my honest opinion! =)
Ssp’s Final Thoughts:
In other words, MAP Sports Facility is a great sports complex, and a great place to play some basketball. I don’t think they have air conditioning, but each court is complemented with a giant fan which help’s a lot. I love that they have their own snack bar, and also you can tell they really take care of their basketball courts. My team has requested to have our basketball games here instead of the Anaheim Sports Complex, so I am hoping we get to play at MAP.
