History

Established in 2012.

Call The Ninja was started by a member of the ninja high council dedicated to bringing reasonably priced awesome computer services to the South Bay and greater Los Angeles. Not much is known about him, except that his name is Alex and he’s extremely personable. And did we mention he knows more about computer security than your average «security professional?»

This business was started by somebody who spends their spare time volunteering and recycling computers, somebody who sees something more than dollar signs when they shake a new client’s hand, and somebody who fits the image of the hard-​working small business owner.

My name is Alex, I’m the founder of Call The Ninja Computer Repair. When you call our number, I’m the one who answers and guides your computer through every step of the repair process. I’m a real person and my goal is to make sure you’re 100% satisfied with our services. I take my work seriously and if the people around me are of any merit, I take it way too seriously. Don’t believe me? Throw an IT challenge at me you think is unsolvable — I wake up in the morning to tackle them and slash through the competition’s market-​share. I get that warm fuzzy feeling when I find out that a spammer or virus creator gets shut down. Some call me personable and some call me ruthless. I guess to be honest, they’re both completely right.

I highly recommend Call the Ninja for computer repair services.
I had to replace the fan and battery of our church’s MacBook Pro Retina Display due to a liquid spill. It was a nightmare having to head over to an Apple Store and wait through a long line. They gave me an estimate of $ 700 in repairs and then even forget to send me a copy of the estimate.
Working with Alex was a breeze, who kept clear communication with me every step of the way. The repair price was nearly a third of what Apple was asking from me, plus a discount for non-​profit organizations!
Eventually, we ran into complications. The shipment of one of the parts came in late, but Alex offered a generous discount for the tardiness, despite the fact that the shipment was beyond his own control. Later, we discovered that the battery replacement we received was not what we were expecting. It was difficult to get the correct battery for such a new model.
Despite the difficulties, Alex kept his cool and walked me through what steps I could take from there. He replaced my fan and returned my laptop to me, together with a refund.
It’s one thing to be able to provide services when things go smoothly, but it’s also another thing to still provide customer satisfaction even when things don’t go as planned.
Alex delivers friendly customer service, effective communication and generous pricing together with his consistency. He is able to outline the situation as they are and even recommended me to another company.
I would definitely recommend Call the Ninja to others and come here again.

I can only recommend!!! I had trouble installing Linux and Alex helped me out even though it was particularly hard to get Linux to work on my laptop. The pick-​up/​drop-​off-​at-​home service is awesome and Alex is super nice and knowledgeable. So if you are looking for somebody who can help you with computer-​related stuff, DON’T LOOK ANYMORE!!! I have had a positive experience with these guys. I had an issue with my external hard drive & wanted to get it fixed.
I spoke with Alex over the phone & he offered to collect the drive from my place to test it at their shop.
The only reason i could not get the hard drive fixed eventually is because of the high cost to get it fixed. But thats perfectly understandable. It would have been the same in any shop.
These guys are thoroughly professional. They pick your stuff & drop it back at your place in case you are not able to make it to their shop.
The best part, they dont charge you a single penny until they give you a quote on the price it would take for them to resolve your problem.
If the deal doesn’t go through, they still would drop the stuff back at your place.
I would highly recommend them for any of your computer related issues just cause for their professionalism.

Just like everyone else Alex is amazing! He is one of the nicest guys i have talked to even tho i never saw him in person. I found that a little odd but whatevers. My computer is fixed and is running better than before. The reason why I took my computer to the ninja is because my monitor display driver blew and the CD tray was terrible. After he diagnosed my comp he called and told me about the parts I need and I asked him about making my computer faster. He said no need to do it. Alex is honest and the prices are great. I’m a photographer. I own a little studio in South Redondo. Most of the time when someone walks in trying to sell me something — it’s a waste of time with a less than mediocre product. This was not the case with this young Entrepreneur. He is the real deal. Something told me to give him a chance — so I put him to work that very minute. He not only fixed my networking issues but he had a sense of humor and was willing to share his expertise so I understood (as best I could) what he was doing to fix the problem. Skip the long lines and ridiculous prices at the apple store, geek squad and macmall. Alex was able to fix my crashed mac hard-​drive within just two days and at an amazing price. After making at least a dozen phone calls to various computer repair shops telling me my computer was as good as dead and that I need to pay upwards of $ 100 for a diagnosis, it was a huge relief to finally find an honest and decent person who didn’t try to make me buy new hard-​ware or soft-​ware that I didn’t need, or charge me an arm and a leg just to find out what was wrong with my computer.
Not only was my hard-​drive up and running better than before, but all of my files were recovered and Alex had updated all of my software.
I received honest, straight-​forward, and quality customer service at the BEST price and will definitely call back in the future if any computer related issue were to arise — thanks Alex!

Having computer issues when you travel is awful. You are away from your regular tech support, and whether you are on business, or vacationing, your computer is your vital link to the world. Recently when I was visiting in the LA area, my computer simply refused to turn on. I had a presentation the next day and not only did my computer not work for that purpose, I couldn’t even get the files off of it! I looked on Unilocal to try and find some computer help nearby. I phoned Call the Ninja and explained my problem and my need for immediate help. I am not that computer literate, but the guy I talked to on the phone was really good at ascertaining what the issue might be, and got my laptop fixed by the next morning. What incredible customer service! The price also amazed me. Given my emergency situation, I thought it would be really high, but I was desperate! It was only $ 100. It is great to have a contact like this for when I visit again. I wish he could be cloned and work in my area.

I «Called the Ninja» last week about an issue with my Dell laptop. Alex answered the phone and asked me to describe the problem (my laptop was taking too long to boot and was super slow). He gave me reasonable estimate on the phone and came over the next day to fix it with some computer software, explaining to me everything he was doing. I would definitely call again, but I feel much more educated now so hopefully won’t have to!
