Love, love, love Carissa Woo Photography and her staff. Love them so much I flew them out to my Texas wedding! Photos were amazing and she delivered them faster than as promised which is ten times more than I can say for my videographer. You can really tell that Carissa loves her job and was meant to be a photographer. I have heard HORROR STORIES about photographers that charge thousands of dollars and don’t get the job done or wait months to get their product to their customer. My husband came across Carissa Woo via Unilocal and I am so thankful he did! We loved our photos and cannot get over how efficient, friendly, timely and inexpensive she was with our family photo session and how beautiful the photos were! We looked at about a dozen South Bay photographers who were priced so high or just didn’t quite know how to grasp good lighting for pictures (lighting is key!) and when we saw her work, we hoped she would be available for some super last minute Christmas pics.
We emailed her and scheduled a date for a family photo session in a matter of hours. When it came time to meet up, we took photos in three beautiful locations in the South Bay all in a matter of 45 minutes and in less than 24 hours, she sent us a couple hundred beautiful images! Usually it takes weeks to get proofs back from photographers. Carissa Woo is a magician and miracle worker quite frankly and I can’t wait to use her services again in the future!

After securing the venue for our wedding (we got married 11÷14÷15), the second most important vendor to me was our photographer. We interviewed about 7 photographers and out of all of them, we liked Carissa’s total package the best. The other photographers each had an aspect about them that we liked, but Carissa had it all. After working with her for our engagement session, we knew our wedding would be spectacular. Carissa is on the ball and gives you everything in a very timely manner. We booked Carissa for our engagement and wedding photographer (and boudoir too!) — Let me take you back: Our beautiful wedding was held on a Friday 12.12.14 in Long Beach CA (as the 1^st look location) and Westminster CA for the ceremony & reception. After meeting with several photographers, although their work was great but the in-​person energy connection wasn’t quite right. until I thought of Carissa Woo whom I met in 2010. She and I both participated the Miss LA Pageant together and since then she have launch her photography business. I have worked with a lot of photographers as an actress and frankly Carissa Woo is the best.
She is inventive, enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable regarding composition, the best angles and poses, color, light, exposure, etc.
I’ve never had more fun shooting than with her. She makes the day fly by and most importantly, I felt 100% comfortable with her. I felt truly beautiful and sexy and like my best self during her shoots. Who else can do that?

Our engagement shoot was absolutely perfect. We almost got in trouble by some security guard and she managed to sweet talk her way out of it, so if you want a certain shot she will get it. She is bubbly and makes you feel really comfortable in front of her lens. She gave great direction and really captured what my husband and I really feel for each other.
For our wedding day it happened to be the hottest day of the year. Literally it was like 110 degrees. It was pretty horrible and nobody was in the best of moods with that kind of heat. We all were troopers and got through it. Now that I have my photos back I can tell you that we look freaking amazing! I thought I would be disappointed with how melted we all felt, but I am so glad that it did not translate into the pictures. I will say that looking back I wish I had a few pictures that we didn’t attempt such as my husband and his sister by themselves or just me on my own, but it was just too hot to think so I blame no one but the sun.
I also used her for my photo booth. Her photo booth company is called Heart You Photo Booth and it is an open air one so lots of people fit in the shot. Everyone had a blast! Her backdrop was gorgeous and her props were lots of fun! I received the pictures in the online gallery a few weeks after and she even posted a picture a couple days after the wedding for us to share with our friends and family via social media.
It was a magical day and Carissa and her assistants stopped time with our love. I would recommend her to everyone because of her talent and efficiency. I gave my wedding party a pep talk before we took photos and I told them to pay attention to her direction because she’s fast. You will think she didn’t get the shot, but I promise you she did. It was true! She was super-​fast, but got every shot right. My photos are beautiful and I am really glad we found her. She truly is in love with love. We can’t wait to get our wedding album!

Our wedding planners recommended Carissa when we needed last minute engagement photos. She agreed to shoot us on Sunday and sent over instructions and tips. We spend the next few days scouring LA for various outfits and a location.
Finally Sunday arrived and my fiancée brought all the dresses she had bought; Carissa helped to choose which ones to wear and she began a two hour shoot that made us feel like models. Carissa was fun to chat with and gave us the pep necessary to keep us smiling.

I LOVE Carissa’s work! She did a family shoot for my three little boys (ages 5, 3, & 6months), my hubby & me. She got great shots of the boys, which is hard to do! We were fortunate to have Carissa shoot our family session on a glorious July afternoon at the Terranea resort. The resort was Carissa’s idea since she’s taken many pictures there before and seemed to know many cool hidden spots which came out wonderfully. I was impressed with how personable, professional, and artistic she was during our 1.5 hour session. She even brought props which was a great touch! Carissa was pretty bold in moving some of the resort chairs and love seats around so they could be used for the pictures.
It was reassuring that she was so flexible with the time, letting us know that we weren’t under any constraints. Our two-​year-​old daughter took a liking to her and she is so wonderful with kids.
The turnaround was super-​fast. We must’ve received the CD filled with way more photos than initially promised in just a matter of weeks. The design of the case and even the business cards wowed my wife. The pictures were astounding! All I can say is that they came out beautifully. The touch-​ups looked pristine and we immediately sent out an order for prints and posters.
