Our staff has been trained and factory certified to insure that we meet the highest level of compliance with industry standards. Plus our compliance department is focused solely on new and changing regulations affecting all California service station & fueling site owners and operators.

History

Established in 1949.

3^rd Generation family business, the Charles E. Thomas Company was founded by Charles (Jeff) E. Thomas and his wife, Theresa. The business originally focused on servicing & re-​building gas pump meters. Working from their home garage, Jeff and Theresa were the only two employees of the company. In 1955 Jeff and Theresa’s son Jerry joined the company. After a couple of years the business began to grow significantly. And moved into a building on Vermont in Los Angeles. In 1971 Jerry was named President, due to the continuous growth of the company additional employees were hired. All office and operations were moved to the Gardena location in 1973, where the company resides today. Jerry’s wife Ann joined the company full time in 1975. Son Greg Thomas joined the company in 1981 and was named President of the company in 2014. Now overseeing the Construction, Compliance, Service, and Carwash Divisions.

Since 1971, Mr. Thomas has directed the company’s growth and is actively involved in its continued success. Jerry is recognized nationally as an expert in the Petroleum Equipment Industry and has served on numerous vendor and industry advisory councils. Mr. Thomas is currently active in several local charity organizations as well.
