Serious Guys! What a disappointment. I wanted to get a trim. So I found this base on my fellow Unilocalers, but this was not good at all!!! I checked in and the guy (I believe it was Mario), got my hair washed and sat in his chair. No, how are you, no what brings you in. Nothing. Just want do you want done. I told him I need to cut off about 2−3inches and keep my layers. Simple. Boy was it simple. He just did that, just cut off 2 – 3 inches. Didn’t bother to add layers or bother to check to see if it was event, nothing. Did not say one word to me the whole time. Quickly dried my hair (at this point all I wanted to do was run out, but I was hoping he could redeem himself) the used the curling iron on my hair and just did such a bad job. After everything was done, normally all of my past hair dresser would give me a mirror and showed me the back and asked if I liked it. Nothing!!! He just took the cape off me and headed toward the front desk. Look I know this was not some fancy expensive place, but come on. Do business right, I told him this was my first time to his place so wouldn’t you want to give a nice experience? All in all, I was in and out hair washed and cut and blow dried and curled in 20mins. So, I like quick service but this is just not how to win a new customer over.

Quality and affordable! If you’re looking for an amazing (not just good) haircut, look no further. I have been to sooo many hair salons, even the fancy schmancy ones, and none compare to this location. I’ve had both Mario and Fernando style, cut, and color my hair. Both stylists are passionate about their art and have years of experience. They take their time and make sure the end product it to your liking. Haircut, wash, and style all for $ 20 (don’t forget to tip). If you’re looking for hair coloring, they are experts in that too! All of their hair products are top of the line and prepared in front of you (no burning scalp from cheap products). Save yourself the wait and DO make an appointment ahead of time. Parking is in the back of salon and is tiny, but I usually manage to find a spot without much trouble. Enjoy your beauty transformation!

Just got back from my appointment. I was blessed because when I arrived there wSn’t any clients so I got to be assisted first. I got my haircut and hair blow dried by Fernando the older gentleman. Right now my hair is styled and it looks good. He took his time with me. I wanted a short hair cut and I showed him a pic and he said that hair cut would only look good if I heat style it since I have puffy hair so I’m glad he told me. My experience was good thank God. I hope to have another good experience here again.

I’ve been coming here for over 8 years now and I just love their work. I always get my hair colored and cut by Fernando. He’s amazing. Ever since I started getting my hair cuts with him I’ve noticed such a difference in my hair. It looks much healthier and it grows faster. Fernando always helps me out in deciding what color or style of haircut I should go with if I’m undecided.
I was recommended to him by an acquaintance and now I recommend everyone that’s looking for a hair stylist. Fernando and Mario are very professional and honest. They are awesome! Check them out. You will not be disappointed.

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! They’re not kidding with the long wait times. They pretty much won’t take you without one. With the exception of my friend and I, it looked like every other appointment was there for color.
My BFF and I hadn’t had a haircut in a while and didn’t have a regular place that either of us went to. We both decided to come here because 1) it was recommended in the area by two acquaintances, 2) Unilocal reviews. We were not disappointed. The older of the two gentleman cut, blow dried, and styled both of us in an hour. ONE HOUR. And we both LOVE OUR HAIR! Definitely worth the adventure, and the price! We’re making this our go-​to place.

I love this salon. I miss Javier does anyone know where Javier has gone? To a certain salon please please any info?

I hate to write bad reviews but I have to say that I’ve been coming here for about 8 years now and it seems that in the past year I’ve noticed that both Fernando and Mario have gotten a little lazy. The last couple of dye jobs did not come out good, I had to go buy a box of dye to fix my hair because I was too embarrassed to say anything. The last time I’ve been there I got a haircut and Fernando literally took 7 min in cutting my hair, he seemed to have rushed me out of there. I’m just disappointed that I have to look for another salon now.

I love these guys. They know what they are doing, are very professional but also friendly and welcoming. My hair has never been so healthy and pretty!

After moving to California, I tried several salons and was not happy with the results, not to mention the high cost. Was recommended by a friend and haven’t had a need to look elsewhere.
Mario does my hair and can’t say enough good things. He knows what he is doing in both cutting hair and coloring.
I suggest you make an appt, otherwise, you will wait a long time as they are super busy, can’t blame them, they do great work.
I 100% recommend this Salon… oh and price… is just right!!!

I have Been coming here for years. Fernando does my hair all the time. I came to him because I had my hair jet black and decided to remove it at home, big mistake. I came to him and showed him my result, my hair was orange cooper red. Who knows but as soon i I told him, he and Mario looked at it and gave hope. Omg love love them. I really recommend them other than having a good hand when it comes to cutting hair, their personality is so nice. From the lady that washed my hair to both Fernando and Mario are very gifted. I can go on and on, oh and to style hair the best.

Let me preface this review with the disclaimer that I am a monster client when it comes to my hair. I am super picky and have had a hell of a time finding a good hair stylist. With favorable Unilocal reviews I decided to try this place out. Hallelujah… a super clean, nice friendly atmosphere and more importantly, experience with dealing with monster hair clients. I couldn’t be happier with the service and fabulous hair coloring and style. The prices are very affordable and I have found my hair haven. Get pampered and love your new «do»!

My last time i was here was over ¹²⁄₁₃ yrs ago. Loved it back then, but I moved. Recently Re-​married and moved back to Hawthorne, and drove by here from Guliano’s… boy am I glad. I was so excited to see that they were still here. Called same day to get in, and Fernando colored my Hair. I LOVE it!!! I will be back because they are both AWESOME!!!

Wash, cut and blow out was $ 20 only!!! I used to pay three times or more at other salons and end up not satisfied with the results.
Fernando was very helpful. He helped with figuring out the best cut for my fine, flat hair with badly damaged (from coloring) ends, I walked out of the salon feeling like a million bucks!
I’ve been trying out different salons over the years because I couldn’t find one that really works for me. The search is over. Fernando, you got yourself a new regular.
And btw, my girlfriend swears by this salon.

These guys… wow. I walked in with no appointment during the weekday and requested a haircut in layers. Frankly, I had no idea what I wanted but I knew I wanted layers and did not want my hair cut so short. The guy that styled my hair knew exactly what I was talking about and gave me a haircut that was so nice that I got repeated compliments by different people: coworkers, friends, family and complete strangers. He gave me three layers and managed to keep my hair length long. My hair was washed, cut, styled and all for $ 20!!! I found the price to be ridiculously low so much I had to repeat to the stylist charging me…’$ 20…you sure?’ Lol. Regardless, I was very happy with the overall service and recommend them!

I was looking for a last minute hair cut on a Thursday for the next day and found this place on Unilocal. I called and to my surprise got one for the next day. There were a lot of openings available however when I got to my appointment there were a lot of people in there with just two stylists and one wash person. It was my first time in there so I didn’t know how they worked. I guess they take on a lot of clients at one time. I got there at my time and was in the chair getting washed 20 min later. The two stylists went back and forth and who was going to cut my hair because I didn’t ask for a specific person.
Wash: The wash lady is gentle on the hair and got it feeling my head feeling nice and fresh.
Cut: I wanted a trim of my existing layers which had a 4 month grow out and were a little uneven. Fernando I think, asked how much, I said 2 inches. There wasn’t a lot of talking till the end. He cut my hair so effortlessly I was worried. Just grabbing and snipping. Mind you I have damaged ends from a double process I got in July (still growing it out) .
At the end he did what BACK in the day stylists used to do to my thick hair (without asking) and (thinned) it out. I don’t really like that because it leaves it uneven and choppy from the ends. But was hoping for the best. He curled it and styled it super cute and was LOVING it so I didn’t notice till I washed my hair the next day how uneven it was. I’m still trying to find how to style my shoulder length hair even thinking of getting it recut (BUT) I’ll give it another week or so.
(as others have said I think you need to be BLUNT on what you want or maybe on what you DONT want)
I found out I had a coworker who gets her hair done there and has been going there for yearrrrrrrrrrrs. Her hair is curly and she likes this place.
Price: I’m believe the price was about $ 20 but since I bought other things that they sell there, shampoo, leave in, and a serum (for damaged hair) I spent about $ 100.00 (not including tip).
Location: They are right on Normandie, I passed it and had to turn back around and parked on Normandie, I think they have parking in the back but It’s hard to turn in there coming from Torrance since its right at the beginning of the turning lane.

Tried getting an hair cut by them several of times and they always turn me done. I always call in advance just to see if they’re busy when they respond they always tell me to come on in, so I do but once I’m in and tell them that I want my hair dyed and trimmed to a short bob they always tell me that Mario doesn’t know how to cut bobs and the other guy always says he has to many people waiting when you see about 2 people sitting down. I’ve heard so many good reviews about them but never going back there again

$ 15 for wash, cut and blow out? Unheard of! I gave a $ 5 tip for a total of $ 20 for everything. The service was nice but I don’t remember if I got my hair cut by Mario or Fernando… I believe it was Fernando. He was quite tall and very friendly and not awkward at all to talk to.
Only thing is I wish I would have gotten long layers in my hair but he suggested not to since my hair is so thin and it would make it look thinner and not full of body. Other than that, I like the place!
Next time I want to try layers and straight choppy bangs.

Javier has been my hairstylist since I was in college! I am 45 now! He has magic hands! I live in San Luis Obispo and every time I am i the L.A. area I get my hair cut with Javier!
I think they are amazing! AND the price is so reasonable that it’s worth it for me to go to Gardena to get my hair cut! They do a GREAT job and you will not be disappointed. They are also very nice.

My best friend gets her hair cut here, and she has simple/​natural taste. So when my sister needed/​wanted a haircut, I thought that this would be a suitable place for her because the two share similar tastes in beauty – if we can call it that ;)
I called ahead and Mario told me to arrive half an hour early. They’re really nice, though I would argue that Mario comes off as nicer because he has such a sweet voice (the tall one with the spiky hair) – I hope that I do not have the two confused.
My sister loved her haircut, and the two speak fluent English (in case you need to take your teenager). They’re so nice and sweet. I was glad that someone so caring was cutting my baby sister’s hair.
I love the work that they do because it is beautiful and natural – they seem to give everybody the same haircut because they give latina women what suits them. I love how they blowdry everybody’s hair, perfection. You will feel so confident and in charge. I think it was $ 15 or so for cut, wash, and dry – love latino salon prices.
I was really weary about getting my hair done here because I’d graduated from latina salons already – girlfriend, I am tired of copetes that I have to fix as soon as I get out of there. So, I was a real test. I didn’t mind the hairwasher who went about complaining to her friend, lol – it’s authentic :) Reminds me that I am with fellow latinos.
I noticed that these guys are accustomed to telling women how they will cut their hair. So, I was quick to tell Fernando what I wanted – I’m in control. He understood and told me what he would do, and then he did it. I like it when they respect your wishes and go about it nicely. This is the best natural-​ish haircut that I have ever gotten. I loved my haircut, and felt as pretty with short hair as when I used to be so thin :) I will never get my hair done elsewhere. I swear by these guys now. Go, if you want to be a natural you and beautiful.
