Long Beach Yellow Cab

Today driver was prompt and courteous. The ride was short, to the transit center in Long beach, and he dropped me off right next to where LAX Fryawy bus stop was! It’s a relief to know that a ride is only a phone call away. I think the cab took less time in getting to me than me making a call to reserve the cab!

I’ve had good experiences with this company in the past but this last ride soured me completely on using them. I tried to use my Amex card (it was business travel and my company prefers us to use our corporate card whenever possible for expense reporting purposes). The system was down and I spent a very frustrating 10 or more minutes waiting first for the card to go through, only to get an error message, then waiting while the driver rebooted the system. Then I tried again, and again, an error message. So I paid in cash, only to find that the charge came through on my card! I paid twice! I tried calling Yellow Cab and no joke, again waited 10 minutes or more listening to canned music and not getting put through to an actual human being. I gave up, called Amex, disputed the charge, and they are taking care of it from this point. If someone had actually answered the phone in a timely manner I might have been more forgiving but just sick of these people at this point.

What a horrible company. I had to use them from Long Beach Airport on 2÷6÷16 because Über or Lyft don’t pick up from there yet. The Indian driver stank of BO and he was in his flip flops. His car was filthy! He grabbed my bags and threw them in and out of his Prius without any care. On top of all that it was 2x as much as Über. You’d think Taxi companies have gotten a clue by now. But this is the reason they will fail.

Awful, expensive and unsafe. Before we even left, there was a $ 4 charge on the meter. Then the driver took the longest route possible, drove very unsafely, scaring our 4 year old to the point of crying. Ended up spending over $ 40 on a ride which has ALWAYS been $ 20 or less. Used curb to order and they wouldn’t honor the «taxitv» coupon. I will NEVER AGAIN use Long Beach yellow cab and take comfort that companies like UBER will ultimately replace this monopoly. Good riddance.

I don’t understand how they got their licence to operate. This was the worst service I ever received in any filed. No stars would be proper rating!
First, they were late 20 minutes, without even bothering to call me and inform that they were going to be late. When finally arrived, the driver didn’t even bother to apologize for being that late!
Then, the car was very dusty and dirty! The driver kept front windows open, blowing the air into my face behind, probably to save gas which A/​C would have consumed.
Finally, when I wanted to pay with the card, he asked me to pay with cash instead!

Don’t bother calling them and wasting your time. I called at 2pm in the afternoon to schedule a pick up at 8:45 pm. At 8:55 when I called I was informed that no one was dispatched. And if I still wanted I could get a cab in 15 min. I agreed and explained, that I had called and scheduled at 2 pm. Oh and if «I didn’t want the cab to be polite and call and cancel» WTF!!! So 15 min later I called and told them Out of curtesy I am canceling them and UBER is picking me up. And UBER Black service is 0.05 more than cab service.

Piss poor ass service. This cab company made me hate everything yellow. Hate is a strong word but I hate this bitch ass, punk butt fuck company. I wish Bin Lauded was alive just to personally bitch slap the person responsible for such a bitch made red headed step child!!! Horrible fuck this get Über! and that ducking star is only because I can’t post my review without some type of rating.!thus bitch get a ducking –1.000.000.090 stupid ass dick in the but fucks!!!

They doesnt deserve a single star. After waiting for almost an hour, the cab arrived. It made a turn and left. We are walking toward the cab and it left. WTF! We waited that long and the cab didn’t even stop for a min or didn’t even call to let us know he’s there already. Totally ruined the night.

Left my phone in their cab before a plane trip. They found it and held on to it for me until I got home. Disaster averted. The folks here seem like really good dudes.

Absolutely inexcusable.
We called a cab to go to and from the Queen Mary for fourth of July celebrations. To get a yellow cab at 7:30 to the house required only a five minute wait. We go to the Queen Mary, where the vast majority of the visitors are families and are therefore in their own personal cars. We watch the fireworks, (just OK, by the way) and are done by 9:30. We walk out immediately and call Yellow Cab. We tell them where we are, and they say 10 – 15 minutes. However, it is just a big parking lot, so we start walking so we can get to a more accessible location. We end up at the Reef restaurant, which is at least a mile away, (so it’s been at least 15 minutes) and decide to wait there and get a drink.
We don’t get a call from the cab company until we have already ordered food, so at least another 15 – 20 minutes later. At this point we’re committed to eating so we don’t pick up the call. We stay for at least another half hour. Before we leave, we call Yellow Cab and are told 20 mins. We sit for 10 mins, then decide to go outside. Once outisde, we wait for another HOUR. In this time, we call Yellow Cab three additional time, and speak to a supervisor two of those three additional calls. Even after first speaking to a supervisor, it still took another 30 minutes. They said the first time we called we were bumped out of the system because no one wanted to take the call. The supervisor admitted that this was more than an excessive rate, but that was all they offered us.
It wouldn’t be hard to let the cab driver picking us up know that we were pissed and had every reason to be and, you know, if he wanted to make some money at this point, he could always apologize, even if on behalf of the company, the supervisor, or hell just give us some line about the traffic, (of which there was none, by the way). I guess nobody thought it was worth driving the 15 minutes to rack up a $ 30 cab fare, so I guess I won’t find it worth calling or patronizing them in the future.
