I can hardly believe this place is still around after all these years. My friends and I used to be regulars at this joint back in our Peary Jr High and Gardena High days. And if you knew my age, you would probably look at this joint as a historical landmark. The grease on the walls have probably been there since I was a kid but overall, I’d still say it’s A-Ok! It’s an old burger joint, nothing more and nothing less.

Everything here is delicious & nutritious, try the zucchini fries. Mexican breakfast keeps you full all day, tortas are yummy. Feta burger is delicious. Portions are huge so you can have 2 meals out of one. Tina is really nice! I’m a regular. They have unlimited pickled onions/carrots/jalepenos

I got to say for a little place with no drive thru they seem to do ok with the amount of traffic during lunch time. Got the Bacon cheeseburger not bad. Actually better than I expected from a place like this. All in all place is good with a variety of items on the menu. Seems like a local spot where u can just grab a quick burger. Will be back to get a breakfast burrito.

Their bacon breakfast burrito aren’t that great. The place needs a little TLC it has torn seats with holes exposing the inner foam.

First time here, had the corn beef hash. Which wasn’t to bad with eggs and sourdough bread. But overall this place gets a 3. Not to bad and not to good.

two stars is for nice person at the counter. less then one star for food that was so bad I would not finish it. I ate someplace else later. the food was among the worst I have eaten. I had breakfast that consisted of deep fried bacon its a lazy fast way to cook quantity but kills the flavor. The pancakes were simply horrible they seemed to be precooked and reheated on the grill terrible texture and not good tasting. I left 80% of the food on the plate and left it was that bad. Coffee is real low end as well not anything there I would go back for the dated inside looks quaint but with poor food its no plus either. sorry that really a small place decides to offer this type of quality they could shine brightly as many of us prefer to go to non corporate locations but the price is the same and the quality very low it offers a consumer no choice sadly. Hope they change course there is a good opportunity for quality food even at a burger type spot. I patronize non corporate locations like this regularly.

Hadn’t been here for many years. Hasn’t changed. I was disappointed the soda machine and the shake machine weren’t working. However the Colossal burger was good so were the onion rings. My wife had a bacon burger and fries she said they were good. We will be back when we are in the neighborhood.

Been coming to yellow basket ever since I can remember. Used to always hit the one on 166 n western with my dad till they closed but this ones just as good. They give big portions and the onion rings are bomb.

Really good service and nice people. My chicken tenders basket was fresh and filling. Could not stop myself from eating every last one of them. Not busy or crowded during the lunch rush on a Thursday.

1 star, not because the food was bad. it was fine. 1 star because the lady behind the counter never looked at me, didn’t smile, never said thank you. She was just rude, rude, rude. I ordered the chili burger. It was just ok. I could barely taste the chili in it. They didn’t put enough on it. Should’ve been sloppier, IMHO. On my way out the door, I said thank you to her TWICE, on purpose to see if she’d respond. She mumbled something and didn’t even smile. There are better burger joints out there where I’m thanked and I’m smiled at when I drop by. Sheesh.

The onion rings were dry old and tasteless. I wouldn’t go back there for anything else if this is their quality of food

Yellow Basket is one of those unassuming places you can fall in love with. It’s not special, but the food really does stand out — and although I’ve tried a number of the things they have on offer, nothing so far outclasses their pastrami sandwich, which is full of meat, rich with flavour and just generally fantastic. I get one of them whenever I’m in the area. All their sandwiches are generous, and the fries are great, but I’m a one-order guy now. I walk in with just one sandwich in mind, and I never leave disappointed.

Classic. Yellow basket has been around for a while and is a pretty classic spot, so recently decided to come and check it out. Drove into the place there weren’t many other patrons parked, walked in to be greeted with a huggggge menu, literally. There are many options to choose from and for a sometimes indecisive person it can be a bit of a challenge especially when craving everything: p I ended up ordering the classic bacon burger basket combo. Pretty good portion size, lots of fries, but sadly the flavor wasn’t there. It was very bland and all I really tasted was red onions, which fortunately I like, but I was disappointed in the burger not even the bacon could save it. Maybe I’ll give something else a try another day but probably not anytime soon. Happy eats, loves! ^_^

HUGE, HUGE, HUGE fan of this place! Awesome burger, fries and drink combo that is much better than the chain restaurants at a cheaper price. The breakfasts here are quite good and filling. There is a Mexican menu here as well which I have not tried personally, but have seen some of the creations which look amazing. Its really cool to find a mom and pop kinda place that has survived as long as Yellow Basket has done. Its nothing fancy, just comfortable and home to good food. Give them a try!

**Notice, Not sure what’s going on here links provided are not taking to my photos, maybe Unilocal will correct this. Still crusin’ the South Bay looking for some good Breakfast Burritos or Tacos and what do I see?, Yellow Basket Burgers, funny name but whatever I’m sure they must have a breakfast burrito. Your typical independent burger joint menu but unlike many others they stop serving breakfast at 11:00am *(Boooo, Hissss) well at least I just made it, I asked what’s in a Bacon Breakfast Burrito and I’m told Bacon, Eggs, Hash Browns, Cheese and Hot Sauce, I asked hot sauce not pico de gallo right?, yes hot sauce. Food was ready quickly but… maybe they ran out of yellow baskets because my burrito came in a Red Basket… and it was the size of a small child! Wayyyy bigger than your average breakfast burrito, I hope it’s just not stuffed with hash browns Hoo, Score, I’m in Love… can you smell it?, can you see it? LOOK at all that BACON! So far definitely BEST Bacon Breakfast Burrito in the South Bay, plenty of bacon in large pieces, what else do I need to say!, for me the only way this could have been better is if eggs were fluffy an hash browns were browned more and slightly crispy. 4.5-Stars I much prefer a good salsa which the majority of independent burger joints don’t have that’s why I’ll give them a .5-Star bonus if they do, unfortunately no salsa here they use a hot sauce while it’s hot, it tastes like a vinegar based bottled sauce. So 4.5-Stars and VERY close to as good as it gets…
