Yellowstone Gateway Inn

After an exhausting day exploring Yellowstone, my wife had booked a room at this location. We were at first skeptical from the outside of the structure being single story and the dirt road leading up to registration. We where SO shocked upon entry to what we thought was a small room. Trevor at the front desk was so helpful and showed us the details. This is a super clean room which is tastefully decorated. It’s like a luxury one bedroom condo with granite counters and crown molding. Two flat screen wall mounted TV’s …, what? Highly recommend this place! Don’t pass this up if your visiting. We stayed yesterday at the Holiday Inn, West Yellowstone Park and there is NO comparison! Two or great

I stayed here about a month ago. It was perfect! There was a living room and full kitchen! It was gorgeous and very clean. The price was very affordable. I prefer this lodge/​inn over any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Def rec!

I would highly recommend the Yellowstone Gateway Inn. The room was nicely remodeled, extremely clean, service was excellent, and the bed was super comfortable. The town of Gardiner was nice and the location was perfect for visiting Yellowstone.

«Pride of ownership» is the best way to describe this lodging. The layout worked perfectly for our family with a king size bed, a foldout couch and a kitchen. The kitchen is a bonus and I did not have to hunt for coffee because the kitchen is stocked with a coffee pot and organic coffee. The rooms were very clean and updated. It’s the perfect location with a grocery store right across the street. Also, the town is the gateway to the park. I would highly recommend this lodging.

I would give this 5 stars for every aspect but one, noise. Although no fault of the proprietor, it’s not on a slab foundation so every time a door closes you hear/​feel it. Quite a bit.
Other than that, absolutely superb rooms, clean, new, well provisioned, crown molding details, superior mattreses, very nice shower heads, spa like soaps etc., newer appliances. Hands down superior to any local hotel in the area.
We just happen to be next to a group with 6 or 7 younger kids. That was apparently sponsored by Monster* energy drinks. And pixie stix.

I will recommend this place to everyone who wants to stay in North Yellowstone. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and spacious; the kitchen has everything you will need including blender! One apartment can have 7 occupants max and won’t feel too crowded. There is a market place across the street, so you can get some food and prepare for breakfast

We love this place! If I was ever to ‘go small’ in a living space I would want to model it after these cabins. And the beds … heaven! I need to find out what mattresses they use because that is what we are getting next. Awesome on all levels, worth every penny.

Fabulous place! Great price and I couldn’t ask for more. It’s located in the middle of town, right across from the market. Roomy apartment with a full kitchen, dining area, living area, bedroom and bathroom. Organic fair trade coffee in room. Organic toiletries. Thick, cushy towels for soaking in the Boiling River. Great staff! Wi-​fi is a bit iffy at time, but it’s not a big thing. Would highly recommend this gem!

We will definitely try to come back here if we get a chance to re-​visit Yellowstone, especially in winter. During the winter season most of the entrances to the park is closed and the only one that is open is the north entrance which is only a 5 min drive from this inn.

Our stay at Yellowstone Gateway in was amazing. The check in process was easy and the staff was very friendly. Our room was clean and well kept. The location was perfect for our 2 day trip to Yellowstone. The town of Gardiner was beautiful with plenty of services including shops, restaurants, etc. The owner of the Inn was very helpful in helping me plan my run in the neighborhood. I would highly recommend this place!

Highly recomend this hotel. It is located only 5 minutes from the north entrance of yellowstone. My family stayed in the one bedroom suite that also had a pull out bed. It is new remodeled and very clean. It has a fully equiped kitchen and a really nice bathroom, especially the shower. The bed room was great. There was a large high quality bed ipod dock and vanity table. It had a really nice flat screen tv. with direct tv and lots of channels. There was a dvd player and complementary dvds. There were chairs and a bench outside and a gas grill for use. The view was really nice it was of the mountains. Also the owner is very friendly, he answers all questions and shows you your room. Overall this is one of the best places to stay in near Yellowstone espcially if you want a home cooked meal.

I almost hate to tell you about the best place to stay in Gardiner but the Yellowstone Gateway Inn is great for couples and families.
We stayed in both the 1 and 2 bedroom rooms during our six days in early May. Super comfortable beds, big screen TVs with Dish Network, fully functional kitchen (with supplied organic coffee). The living room has a pull out couch for an extra couple or kids.
Michael (the owner) and «Car» were both friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to return!

We will DEFINITELY stay here again in the future and recommend it to anyone coming o Gardiner. Updated rooms with plenty of space. Very comfortable beds! Our room had two large flat screens, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. full kitchen with all cooking utensils too. Only 5 min drive to the famous arch entrance to the park. Definitely great for the price.

We were very surprised at the quality/​price ratio. The suite was spacious, well-​equipped, and well-​kept. There is a supermarket right across the street and the park is only a minute or two away. Checkin and checkout were smooth. A few deer stopped by to help out with the groundskeeping.

This place is AWESOME! We are in a large, spacious, immaculate suite, with two private rooms, and very high end linens (silk-​like sheets and fancy comforter). Each mattress has an anti-​allergy/​bed bug lining. Furniture is new. Two pull out beds in the living room are very cozy. We only have 3 people but wish we had 8! A full kitchen makes me want to stay here more than just 2 nights. The man at the office was very polite and helpful, even taking me to the room. The bathroom has lovely sandstone tile, and all the fixtures and even the dishes match. I want to live here! It is warm with the heater. Fancy entertainment unit though we didn’t turn it on. All this for a great price. Very conveniently located across a great restaurant called Yellowstone Mine. What a lovely way to spend our limited time in this extraordinary park. I am determined to be back!

We were very pleased with our stay at this place. Michael, the host and the owner, was a great host. The facility used to be an apartment complex. Michael renovated it in 2011 and opened up a fabulous inn.
We had a 2-​room suite with kitchen and living room. The beds were incredibly comfy. The bathroom had completely new fixtures and was top notch.
A real coffee maker is provided, and you can use either the organic coffees provided or buy some fresh grind from one of the nearby espresso /​coffee shops or the market down the street.
HDTV via DirecTV is provided as well as a blu ray player. Michael has a vast selection of blu ray discs /​DVDs to choose from if you didn’t bring any with you. There is also a pharmacy /​video rental store in town if you want other selections.
All in all, this was a fantastic place to stay, and there is no doubt we will be back here in the summertime!

What a great place. Don’t let the main street appearance fool you — these are high end places that are perfect for a family or a honeymooning couple. Even if you are on a budget, call and talk to Michael.

This might not matter to some of you, but they use organic bath and body products. A massive shower head towers over my 6′ 3″ frame, a rarity in any hotel. The bed we slept in was a pillowtop King that rivals those of JW Marriotts, with Egyptian cotton sheets with a high thread count. There is a full kitchen and living room with morning coffee packets provided. I came in and felt at home.
I talked to Michael — the owner and he was extremely nice. We stayed in mid October so the prices were more than reasonable, especially compared to the other places in town. Staying here is a must on your tour of Yellowstone.
When you talk to Michael he will give you some local pointers on what to do at the North Entrance of Jellystone.
Go to The Bookstore & Café just down the street for your morning breakfast. A rad little bohemian coffee shop with one of the best breakfast burritos. Sit down and grab the «Images of America: Yellowstone» book and marvel at how little we can do today.
