Went here Saturday with the family. Cheeseburgers were amazing and the fries are the best anywhere. My wife had the cheeseburger patty melt which she said was fabulous. And while we waited for the burgers we sucked down a chill dog. Great sauce. A must place to go.

Best Hamburger in the area, nice and juicy. Lot of toppings are available. The place is very small only a few tables but they do have a few tables outside. The owner is a very nice guy. Oh I almost forgot. .the French fries are awesome !

A friend of mine told me about this place, so I’ve decided to give it a try. To start things off, the place from far looks like just another food shack on route 46 but this one stands out much more than the others. I was greeted at the door by whom I believe is Steve Jr., who immediately took my order of the double header and got started. The Double Header consists of 2 cheeseburgers, 1 order of fries, and a can of soda. There are different types of meals that you can choose from and it is based on baseball plays such as the Double Play, Triple Play, Grand Slam etc. While the Double Header is not cheap at all, there are many affordable other plates to choose from, but I was hungry, so getting the ones that can relinquish my hunger was my priority. When I gave a bite out of one of the burgers, it felt as if I was in heaven eating one of the greatest burgers my taste buds could have tasted. The fries also tasted great and well done as well. A friend of mine told me that their Hot Dogs are also something to die for but I will make that a priority to try the next time that I am in town. Steve’s Burgers is a place I would recommend to anyone looking to eat at juicy American burger and Fries. The only thing that beats the food is the excellent customer service from the people that work here.

This place has an all-around great burger and great fries. The burger meat is clearly fresh and never frozen, and the fries are fresh cut and fried twice for ideal crispiness. It sounds simple but that’s what it takes. That and the proper seasoning of the burger and of the fries. Steve nails it with that as well. Fresh quality ingredients that are well-seasoned make for an honest, simple burger meal with integrity and I respect that.

I pulled into the parking lot of Steve’s after passing it for awhile and decided to stop in, the door was locked and when I looked and realized it was closed I turned to leave but was greeted by Steve, even though he had been closed for almost an hour he stopped closing up and was more than happy to get me a hot dog and drink. That’s not something many people can say about a lot of businesses. He said I should come back soon for a burger and I went back the next day. The hot dog and the burger were top notch and only outclassed by the service.

The place was awesome! The guy working was the nicest guy. I got the Grand Slam package and it was worth it. Cheeseburger, Chili Cheese Dog, Disco Fries, Chicken Fingers and a Coke! Amazing!!!

Steve’s has one of the best burgers in North Jersey. Juicy burgers with a nice flame crispness. They are also very well priced for all the food they give you. There fresh cut fries are also well seasoned and cooked just right. A well kept secret in Garfield, and definitely don’t judge the food by the outside appearance of the store front.

This place is tiny, you might not get a place to sit. The presentation is not fancy. All that aside, this was the best darned burger I have had in years. It was everything you could want a burger to be. I was kind of sad when I finished, I wanted more. My daughter loved hers too.

This is a classic example of «don’t judge a book by it’s cover.» It might look off setting from the outside, but this place is a gem! Small menu(burgers, dogs, fries, shakes) but that’s all they need. The cheeseburger is one of the best I’ve ever had! The hand cut fries are out of this world! Friendly and attentive counter help. Cash only, so be prepared. Steve’s has won me over!

So I saw this place many of times and just drove right past it. But today I was looking for the best burger around. This place was number one on Unilocal in the area. The saff were excellent! ! Couldn’t of had better service. Now I had a double cheese burger with bacon and cheese fries. Best burger I’ve had in a long time. Definitely will go back and definitely will tell more people about it. Great Job Guys!!!

I’m obsessed with this place. I stopped by after work one day and I was hangry as could be. When I walked in and saw the sign on the register that said«cash only» I became noticeably annoyed and informed the man behind the counter that I could not order and proceeded to gather my belongings to leave. He asked if I was a local and offered to front me the money so I could order a hamburger. He recommended the cheeseburger and he was right! It was delicious and not just because I was starving. The only thing about this place that’s better than the food is the kind staff. When I returned the next day to pay my bill and get another cheeseburger I was pleased to find out that everyone who works there maintains a warm vibe and that the food is consistently high quality and delicious. I also recommend the self-labeled ginger beer. It has a great, home-brewed kick to it.

Right on Rt 46 west bound is where you can find this awesome place for burgers, shakes, chicken sandwiches, dogs, and all the rest of that good stuff! If you’re looking for real food, well Steve’s Burgers is the real deal! No joke every time I drive down that highway I must stop in for a bacon cheeseburger and a shake! Steve’s burgers is one of New Jersey best burger joints! You haven’t lived unless you’ve lived Steve’s, and the onion rings are so good! You could punch your friend in the face!!! Your mouth and taste buds will be celebrating! The world would be a better place, with more places like Steve’s Burgers!!! Five stars!!!

Ok I tried Steve’s. I don’t like Ketchup… I hate it along with balsamic(which is every where). I think I’m the only one in the world that hates these items. Well I was traveling way upstate to NY and I ordered to take with me for me and a friend and I ordered a burger NOKETCHUP. I said it a couple of times. Wait time wasn’t long. The girl who waited on me was very nice. I grab the bag and off to upstate… big mistake. I get up there and low and behold… UGHKETCHUP. had to toss the bun and reheat just the burger which was on the greasy side. Burger wasn’t bad but a bit greasy I’ll go back and give them another chance and I will remember«CHECKTHEFOOD».

Went here with an $ 8 Groupon for 2 burger meals. Like a lot of Groupons, it didn’t specify what was included. When we got there, we learned it meant two cheeseburgers with no toppings(except cheese of course), two fries and a bottle of water or can of soda. Still not bad, but naturally, we wanted toppings and shakes so we still owed $ 10 out of pocket after the Groupon. Outdoor seating is nice, but not when you’re sitting no more than 5 feet from Route 46 and Jersey drivers and blowing right past you. This time, no one was distracted by my shake but I may not be so lucky next time. Overall, I liked the fries and shake better than the burger itself. The serving sizes on the burgers are about 1⁄3 lb., and despite being somewhat thin, they weren’t overcooked. Just right. I’d go back if I were in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way. Still, the prices are pretty cheap so it’s worth a shot.

Always looking for big fat juicy burgers and Steve’s burger delivered a juicy cheeseburger today. I don’t know what it is with me but I like big bites when it comes to burgers so I added mushrooms, fried onions, bacon and fried egg. Every bite was pleasing but I have to say I wasn’t blown away. Perhaps because my palate is used to bigger(larger than ¼lb) gourmet burgers. This place is definitely worth coming for the fresh cut fries! The vanilla and chocolate milkshakes were better than ok but less than amazing. Cordial service. Outdoor seating– appreciate that. Cash only– bummer.

Solid burger and hot dog joint. The burger was pretty good I probably give it a 6.5 or 7. Nothing out of this world but a solid tasty greesey American burger. The French fries were very good, old fashioned cut and crispy. I like that they did not use salt on the fries and you can add as you like. The beer battered onion rings were amazing, the onion did not just come out when you bit into them(you know what I am talking about). I will definitely go back when I am feeling something greesey

Guess this could be called the White Manna of burgers(not sliders). It’s a greasy spoon, tons of character for a place that’s only been open a few years. The patty melt was delicious. Very greasy but a lot of flavor in the loosely packed beef patty. The rye gave it great texture. I’d come back, not too often though. It’s pretty indulgent.
