Brakes and More? I just stopped in for the brakes. Trading my car in this weekend and hoped that the brake pads would hold out. But NO! Called a great guy at one of the chains and he quoted a price and then SO mentioned he’d heard of this place. Spoke with Don a few times, and got a great quote! Needed them done that day due to logistics issues. Don and Jeff came through with flying colors and a very reasonable price. Front brakes and two rotors for the price of just the brakes else where. Emailed invoice and online payment made that quick and easy, with a copy sitting in my front seat when I picked it up after hours. Good deal? You Bet! Knowledgeable and patient with a lady using second hand terminology? Thankfully, YES, wonderful! Questions concerns? Answered so none at all! Would you recommend them? Sure thing!!! Call Brakes and More for straightforward service!

I cannot speak highly enough of Jeff. I had come in town from Houston driving my husband’s Challenger, which I am never allowed to drive. The engine light came on and the car needed new brakes anyway. So I found Jeff’s shop. He was honest. He did not talk over my head. He did not up sale me. Not only was he helping me with the car he was working on, he was giving me advice about my Toyota in Houston. I would come from Houston to Dallas to have Jeff work on my car again.

I really can’t say enough about Brakes and More and Jeff. This place was recommended to me back in 2009 by a college friend who’s dad had used these guys. My transmission went out in my Jeep Wrangler and every place else was quoting me $ 2500 and above to rebuild it. Brakes and More did it for about $ 1000 less and did a fantastic job. They really know what they’re doing! I’ve since taken my Jeep back to them for a couple of minor issues(its 10 years old). These guys always check it out from top to bottom and fix me up. The prices CANNOT be beat. What I love is you can really TRUST them. They’re not in the business of sales, they’re in the business of fixing cars. Its not a fancy operation, but I’ll trade the fancy locations for a mechanic I can trust who does the job right any day. Brakes and More is THEBEST.

Long story less long: I’m a bit of a shade tree mechanic, so I like to be able to talk cars with the folks fixing my vehicles. Jeff REALLY knows his stuff! They’re all word-of-mouth, no signs, no advertising, and yet they still are crazy busy. They’re also honest and accurate, no interest in charging you for anything you don’t actually need, they have enough real work to do without«looking» for«problems». I worked for a road-service computer shop in the Dallas area for a few years and fell into managing the fleet of 10 cars. After figuring out the then-current shop was stealing them blind, I hunted down and interviewed about 7 local shops. Brakes and More blew the others away with knowledge, attitude and price. Due to a change of jobs, location, and«marital status», I’d been going to the local Plano Firestone instead. Got tired of their high-pressure sales, and eventually-discovered inaccuracies. Just now learned from Jeff that the front end noise we were hearing on our Acura TL-S was NOT the axle as Firestone claimed, but an extra sensitive ABS. No actual problem with the car. Saved us most of $ 300+. You will NOT be disappointed with their pricing and expertise!

My brother in law the CPA introduced me to these guys. They are old school, keep the customer happy folks. No sign out front, word of mouth only, but they’ve been in business a long time and stay very busy. They tell you what you need and how to fix it cost effectively. Most shops plug in a computer and fix it by the book which results in some pretty big unnecessary repairs. Sure, they use the computer, but the difference is that Jeff and Bob are willing to use their experience to read between the lines and tell you what is actually wrong. Then they fix it. I like to drive my cars until the wheels fall off but these guys keep fixing the darn thing! Oh well, I guess I’ll paint it. Oh.they moved, their new address is 4309 Action St. Garland, TX75042
