I really like catfish and I have eaten it all over North Texas. This funky little place has pretty good fish. I wish they had a better selection of sides. Catfish is made to order, served super hot, so be careful. I like their tarter sauce, too.

Food was good.
This place gets only 3 stars because I came when it was cold and the restaurant felt really humid.
Also, I ordered a drink and wanted sweet tea. They only have unsweetened so I opted to pay a little more for lemonade.
The cashier offered to give me the lemonade without paying for the extra cost.
The lemonade tasted off. I even had my cousin drink it to see if it was just me, but he also agreed that it tasted funny.
It tasted like soap water from a bucket.
I’m sure the lemonade is good and I just got a bad batch.
Overall, the food is good.

Craving fried catfish and shrimp? Come on over, this cornmeal fried seafood is not greasy, made to order and hiya your table piping hot.
If you are familiar with the Top Cat chain of catfish restaurants around DFW this is the same exact food, menu, even décor (or lake of as you know).
Parking up front if lacking: there are a few more spaces behind. Friendly staff.
They are closed on Mondays, open all other days.

That’s it. It’s just okay. There isn’t anything special and it wasn’t bad. I had fish, shrimp, hush puppies, french fries, and lemonade. They didn’t have sweet tea but the lemonade was crazy sweet! The coleslaw was bland which made it gross. It tasted like cabbage and mayo so if that’s all you need, you’ll really like it. The décor was plain and old so all the makings of a classic hole in the wall. I’d go back if in the neighborhood and in the mood for fish, but I wouldn’t recommend anybody go out of their way to try it.

This is the 2nd Crazy Catfish location I’ve been to and it’s just as equally good. Good hot Catfish & Shrimp with hushpuppies and fries. The Lunch of Champions! Everything was hittin’ (slang for everything was SO DELICIOUS!) LOL. You can’t go wrong with this place.

I stopped in on fish Friday to get some take out.
I got a catfish meal and a fried shrimp meal.
The wait was a little longer than I’d imagined. I started to get suspecious when I saw several people come in after me and get their food sooner. I thought maybe they ordered something simpler than I did until I went up to the counter and showed them my ticket. Magically, the food was ready!
The breading on the shrimp was the same as the catfish, like cornmeal. It didn’t really compliment it. My biggest gripe was the teeny tiny amount of cocktail sauce. It was maybe a teaspoon for 6 large shrimp. Don’t be so damn cheap with the sauce! Both meals came with a huge amount of fries and hush puppies.

I got sidetracked in Garland and decided to try this place. The gumbo and catfish was not good. I don’t know why this place had great ratings.
I usually go to Catfish House in Carrollton to get my Catfish fix. I will never go back to this place for catfish again!

Excellent selection of seafood, they take awhile to make your food, but I guess that means it’s made to order and probably fresh.
Most of the food I saw on the menu is fried. Tartar sauce is extra, if you want extra. A couple of the menu items come with it.
For a local place that serves oysters, I definitely enjoy it. I don’t give it more than 3 because I don’t go there often and it wasn’t the best. But it’s economical and has a good selection. A bit pricey for fast food, but worth it.
