Authentic. A diverse menu. Definitely try the Liver & Onions. Everything is packed with flavor… and the PORK(Guiso de Puerco), my God is so juicy and tender!

Well yum to the Chilaquiles! Consistently good and their beans are a delight. Love the mix it yourself guacamole, service was friendly as usual. My iced tea was never empty. The only complaint is the small waiting area– we always go on a Sunday around noon which is busy of course, but so many people crammed in the small waiting area– but the food id so worth it.

I love their fresh made corn tortillas with butter. I have good memories of this restaurant from East Dallas. I like there food but I always leave unsatisfied. I don’t know why. I guess I stuff my face with tortillas and their delicious chips and salsa. I like there pozole. One of the best I have had in a long time. Pozole is so good in the winter.

I enjoyed most plates ive ordered from here. Only complaint is they dont have mexican salsa its american salsa taste like tomato sauce. And it would be nice to have more variety spicy food since its mexican. Its not mexican if its not spicy, right? Still taste good. I recommend the virgin piña colada. Mmm

I became a fan of Cuquitas in 1999 when I first moved to Dallas. They were located on Henderson with what I considered the next best thing to mama’s cooking. Unfortunately after losing their lease they moved to a really bad location on Lake June Rd and the quality of the Cuquitas brand began to suffer. That location closed down. I have since been to the restaurant in Garland and I must say, the restaurant itself is beautiful but the last few times I have eaten here I have been disappointed and underwhelmed. There is nothing worse than bland Mexican food. Even the tostadas seemed like pieces of fried cardboard. Is there no more quality control? Who is supervising in the kitchen? If you want quality authentic Mexican food go elsewhere because it is no longer found here. I wish things would go back to the way they were before like it was on Henderson — great chips, great salsa, great FOOD and beautiful roses in a vase with lemons! THAT was Cuquitas not whatever it has evolved into now. Let me know when things go back to the the way they were so that I can return, otherwise«hasta la vista baby. »

I had the beef enchiladas, and they were delicious. The rice and beans were very tasty. The chips and salsa were not very good, but I didn’t come for the chips and salsa. I will be back.

4 out of 5 because although the corn tortillas were homemade and wonderful, the flour tortillas were not. The agua the horchata was good but not excellent probably because it wasn’t made from scratch. I had the huevos rancheros with a side of potatoes, my older daughter had an enchilada plate and my little one had beef fajita quesadillas. The hot sauce was not very spicy at all but it had good enough flavor. The service was good and the décor is nice. I went on a Sunday morning 9:30am, I didn’t have to wait at all but as I left an hour or so later I noticed there was already a wait.

Great lunch specials. I ordered the pork guiso lunh special. Let’s just say I even had enough for dinner. The only thing they do lack in is their wait time. It seems like the waitstaff caters to no one but themselves.

This is the most disgusting mexican food I’ve ever eaten. The chicken taste like unflavored rubber. Vile. Do not go here if you plan on enjoying your meal

Food was gross. Flavorless. Service was good. They gave us cans of soft drinks, so I am guessing no fountain… did I mention the food was bad?

The food here is really good. I had the Pollo en Mole today. The sauce was heavenly, chicken was a bit chewy. Soft, fluffy homemade corn tortillas perfect to wrap it in. Good rice and beans. Wonderful salsas and chips. Their Chili Rellenos are also fantastic, I’ve had them before at this and another location. Service is fast, but not the friendliest. Always crowded, especially at peak times.

Definitely glad someone recommended this to us. And glad it is not Tex-Mex! Yuck! Anyway, the waitresses are super nice and it can get pretty busy. They give you chips and salsa(which the salsa could be a bit better, but not horrible) and fresh tortillas. I like their large portions for good prices! The food is good and their horchata is amazing!

The atmosphere is good and clean. Tortillas were good, as was salsa and horchata. I hated my meal, however. I had the tampiqueña plate and did not like any of it. The steak was poor quality, flavorless, chewy, and salty. I’m glad it was only $ 12. DH isn’t particularly picky and did not enjoy his tacos al carbon.

Came to Dallas and needed a place to eat lunch. We stopped at this little restaurant that used to be a steak and ale. We were greeted promptly. The restaurant was fairly quiet there were only a few other tables seated around us. Our server was super nice and brought out fresh corn tortillas for us to sample while we were waiting for our entrees. The salsa was fresh and the perfect amount of spicy! We were hoping that the food would be as good as the tortillas and salsas. We were in for a treat! The food was fresh and packed with flavor! On the way out the door we watched a beautiful woman make tortillas from scratch! The whole experience was over the top awesome! I can’t wait to return!
