I had never been to a dd’s store before as they typically have terrible reviews and the only location I knew of was on Forest and Audelia, definitely not an area I would want to be spending time in. This location opened a couple miles from home, though I was still a bit skeptical as dd’s is Ross’s downline store, and Ross itself gets other stores rejects. I needed an outfit that I will probably only wear once, and have thrifted in the past so figured why not. Price are dirt cheap, about the same as a thrift store on some items, to slightly higher on others. I purchased a ¾ sleeve blouse for $ 5, a pencil skirt for $ 6, and a jacket for $ 15. Much like with deep discount and thrift stores, there’s not a lot of organization, so be prepared to dig. The selection is really good, and if you have a good eye for fashion it is possible to put together a fashionable look. The focus is mainly on clothes, though they do have handbags, shoes, and other accessories. They also have a small selection of housewares, as well as makeup and other toiletries. The cosmetics were all weird off brands that I had never heard of so I didn’t even bother. They did have a few nice handbags for about $ 15 – 20 which are wroth checking out.
